Yard House - Kansas City, MO
Book your next event with us
The menu is hard to read. (small font-way too many options)
The portions are very skimpy on the protein.
All the staff was very welcoming and our waitress was excellent.
Great place to hang out with friends outside P&L. Good food and drink selection!
Food was good, volume of noise was too loud but the real problem was service. Had to request silverware, ran out of drinks, server forgot to take off money for a gift card and was distracted during our dinner. I would give them another chance because the food was good enough and service may have been just an off-night but if it happened again, I would not return.
I was skeptical to order a poke bowl but it was nicely done. And my wife's vampire tacos were quite good. Excellent service from James C elevated this to outstanding overall. Nice beer selections and save a few bucks with happy hour. I like their happy hr. since it's not just forcing you to get a crappy beer or nachos to take advantage of it. Perfect spot for a pre-concert event.
I had a reservation but still had to wait, then we were seated at a high top table. The food is just ok .....high price!!! Service was good..
I love Yard House. Food is always great, drinks awesome... Music just right.
Other than taking 40 minutes to get our food it was good.
The atmosphere at this downtown/P I have not been to a bad Yardhouse but this one has a more energetic vibe. Service was attentive overall but food was a little slow coming out, however, I can't deduct much as it was right before a major concert and I am sure they had a lot of orders at the same time - and it was well prepared and hot when it arrived. We were certainly glad to have Open Table reservations.
We visited Yard House for happy hour before a concert. They have a great beer selection- all are on special during happy hour. They also have a wide variety of food on their happy hour menu too. We shared the sliders and chicken nachos. The sliders come with fries and are a good bang for your buck. I wouldn’t order the nachos again- they were ok, but I would try something else on the happy hour menu next time.
My Grandson’s Birthday supper from Grandma
We went for a late lunch on St. Patrick's Day, after the parade in mid-town. There were a few customers so we got great service. The food was good, but nothing special. Drinks were pricey but then you have to consider the location. 50 beers on-tap was great for anyone that wants to try something new or have an old favorite. I'd go back, maybe, if I was downtown and there weren't 30 other options. Competition is high so I'd say work on the food - you don't have to offer 200 selections, maybe just 50 that are outstanding.
Good time. Was sat down immediately once it was my reservation time. So many good choices.
Good food, fun place. Plenty of basketball on the tv's. They ran out of cornebeef eggrolls, so we didn't get try them. The waiter apologized and recommended the Mushu Pork Eggrolls (delicious)... definitely will return.
Wonderful atmosphere.... good food... just a great experience
Really impressed with this restaurant chain. Good food and service in a casual dining environment.
Wonderful, as usual!
I go here an because it is right by the midland theater - would recommend it to others for this reason only. Big menu but haven't found much I like. Best things are burgers and tomato soup. Very loud. Servers are nice but too busy.
Love Yard House...the Nashville Hot Chicken is FIRE! (meaning awesome and hot!)
Food and service were excellent. The noise level was really high, but it was Happy Hour and right before a concert at Sprint Center. So, not surprising. Overall, I highly recommend!!
Food & service never disappoint! Always our go-to place before concerts.
Great atmosphere and bar. Tables are not too close together. Our food was not especially hot, and we sent the nachos back (they were cold) and received a fresh order. 2nd bottle of wine took over 15 minutes to receive. Maybe they were short handed? Our waiter was sweet - but perhaps had one too many tables? It was GOOD - even above average - but it wasn't GREAT.
Thoroughly enjoyed it. Have eaten there before. We had a very good waitress. Went to eat before the Kiss concert.
Intimate, reasonably priced, large portions, waitress did not rush us even though it was busy, hostess was more attentive when we exited than when we arrived. Will go back and will recommend to friends and family.
The food was awesome and a great place to meet with friends
It's a beautiful restaurant and our server Landon was helpful and attentive. The music seems a bit too loud for a normal conversation and my dinner companion (who is older) had some difficulty reading the menu with the lighting being somewhat low. The food was excellent and we enjoyed our dinner. I would definitely go back!
First time! Had the vampire tacos, really good tacos, beans and rice just ok. Spouse had fried chicken, cleaned his plate. Another guy with us had turkey club, also cleaned his plate. Great service, although wasn't busy at all. Really big place, lots of TVs. $10 cocktails for just normal drinks a lil steep, in my opinion.
Made 8:00 reservations for 8 on a Saturday night and were seated with 10 min of checking in. Parents ordered the ribeye and were very satisfied with the taste and quality of the steak. For the other 6, everybody had nothing but great things to say about their meals. Service was excellent, drinks were never empty. We had a great time celebrating my mothers 60th birthday dinner at Yardhouse.
Brandi was sensational as our waitress. The Brussel sprouts under Snacks were to die for. Next time though we would order them with sauce on the side rather than covering the dish. I wish there was one of these down south in OP.
You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. From appetizers to meals and desserts, the food is fantastic.
Food was good, service was good. Nothing to complian about. I would recommend.
Awesome food and the Restaurant Week lunch special was 👌
One of the managers, Dave, is great at what he does
The service was phenomenal and the place looks great, the only complaint we had at all was the signature dish of the Nashville Hot Chicken had absolutely no flavor at all, it was so bland, now the pancakes that came with the chicken were incredible.
Kansas City Chiefs were playing an important game so all TV's were on the game and a lot of fans in the 'house'. It was still pleasant for a non football fan to enjoy a meal.
We went before going to a show at record bar, requested a booth and got one the host was very accommodating the service was excellent. My birthday was the following week and our server heard us mention my birthday and brought out the biggest brownie with Happy Birthday on it. We had a blast we will be back soon.
Love Yard House (both locations). Mac and Cheese with bacon, chicken and truffle oil was a favorite and I always love the salads. Consistently excellent food, great drinks and beer selection. Service can be slow but they are always very busy so I take it as it comes. Did I say we love Yard House?
We eat here often...usually before a show at one of the nearby theaters. It was a very busy night so we were glad to have made a reservation and got seated right away. The food and drinks were great as usual but the service was a bit lacking this time...think the waitress was a little green. We ordered Manhattans straight up twice and they came on the rocks both times. They took then back and fixed them but still...it was a bit irritating. We also wanted the check split up between our two couples but that was confused...wrong two people together. We figured it out and it was close enough so not a huge problem. When she took our cards she came back with the correct split on the checks so that was good.
Son was in town, I took him out to dinner before Dunham
Very impressed that with an hour wait at 6 PM on a Friday night our reservation was upheld and we were seated right away!
