View Private Dining DetailsEverything was great! And so much fun. :)
We have been coming here frequently since Larkcreek restaurant in Walnut Creek closed.
Had scallops which made one diner sick. Gave us a credit. Last time, one of us ordered the
Strip sirloin which was both tough and over cooked. Refused a credit since it made one feel
Like a cheap skate. Drinks were excellent. Will come back for the fish.
I always love yankee pier.
Food and service are good.
Thank you!
Food was better last night . Tasty lobster roll. Quiet. Surprised their wine special did not cover Saturday. Service still iffy. We got our appetizers sequentially, I wish they'd bring both at same time. Good not great.
fabulous service and the oysters were to die for! The restaurant is very noisy so don't expect a quiet evening!
Great server!!
excellent lobster rolls - great value! reservations easy on Sunday night, Saturdays are booked!
The one thing I love about this place is that the food is always piping hot (almost TOO hot to eat!) ... the fish & chips and shrimp & chips are particularly well done. I was afraid maybe with the change of ownership, it would have gone downhill, but still the same great food!
Yankee Pier is good old fashion East-Coast seafood.
Sole was great. Seafood pasta was mediocre- smallest shrimp and scallops. Shrimp was over cooked. Crab Louie was tons of lettuce, crab and avocado and nothing else. Photos on open table show crab legs, but that was not on the menu.
Excellent menu and good service in downtown Lafayette.
Highly recommended.
We sent to Yankee Pier for Easter Sunday lunch. Very nice as usual. Hubs had grilled salmon and I had petrale sole - both excellent! Not our first visit and certainly not our last!
This is our favorite restaurant in Lafayette, California, as we are fish lovers and very picky about quality. Also, the service here is outstanding. Highly recommended.
Always a wonderful experience! Love Yankee Pier!
We ate outdoors, it was lovely. And everyone enjoyed their meal
Enjoyed a lunch special featuring a fabulous beet salad, and an entree. The butterscotch pudding and the strawberry/rhubarb crisp were fabulous!! Would go back just for that. Oh - and they have Albarino wine - a favorite of mine. Nice lunch - would go back. The service was excellent.
We taste a good wine but the food was below our expectations. Ciopino was very spicy that took the taste of seafood. the oysters were too small by the cost.
Prawn cocktail disappointing shrimp were soggy not chilled and tasted “iodine like”. Service was good but noise levels made it impossible to have conversations
Great service and excellent seafood. The scallops are always good.
We love the place and food. Turn out that it's not expensive place.
We ordered fried calamari, scallops and lobster. The calamari and scallops were excellent.
The lobster was tougher than cheap steak, had to order a sharp knife. Google says this is from over cooking. The prices are high, but would be OK if all were excellent.
Very delicious “March Birthday Lunch” for co-workers and halfway for us all to meet. Easy parking, lovely atmosphere, great service and tasty food!
Amazing food! Fish and seafood always so fresh and cooked perfectly! Staff always knowledgeable and attentive. Love this Restaurant!
one of our local favorites! great food and easy to get in and out of!
Good value. Not fancy.
Food was good as usual. Rockfish sandwich and clam chowder. Soup was delicious and served hot which was good. Often soup at restaurants is served lukewarm.
Service the past several times had been disappointing. Server was not very attentive or responsive.
There are many restaurants in Lafayette. Competition is fierce. If service is lacking at Yankee Pier- patrons will not return.
Always enjoy the food & the whole experience at Yankee Pier! One of my fave restaurants.
Our server was attentive without being intrusive.
All four of us enjoyed our meal and will certainly return when the occasion arises.
Let me start by saying I don't always write a review of every meal when I dine out, BUT this particular dinning experience was exceptional. Our waitress was entirely professional, there when we needed her, but not hovering over the table. I ordered linguine and clams and could say it was the "best" linguine I've every had. The sauce was clear and tasty, but not heavy. The pasta and clams were perfect.I would gladly recommend this place to anyone who wants a special place with a warm atmosphere.
We had a great time with fresh seafood and attentive service. I'll definitely be back.
Came for the steamed lobster, which we’ve missed since moving from the East Coast. Expectations were relatively low knowing that lobster isn’t a West Coast thing but we were pleasantly surprised with the quality and presentation of the food. We had an absolutely wonderful dinner and the service was excellent. We will be back!
I have dined here several times over the past ten years. Food quality was not good this time on both dinners
A second delicious lunch within two weeks. Service is top notch and food was absolutely delicious. The crab was excellent!
Great Fish Tacos! Good service, quaint decor.
Difficult access for handicap. Food ok but expected more.
Wonderful every time!!
Just had a wonderful meal, both dishes were quickly served and delicious. Friendly staff- the restaurant was packed.
Haven't been there for a while, but pretty much as I remembered it. Food "good", not "great". Had a reservation but given a small table for two that was sticking out into the aisle. Our server, Shaun, was great, but our table was devoid of what I assume is complimentary french bread.
Will probably go back, primarily because parking at Yankee Pier is easier than the WC Yacht Club.
Disappointed, as was my two other guests. The service was very good. Not likely to return.
The food was very good but despite having a reservation and plenty of available seating we were put at a tiny table not two feet from the next table. Had to spend most of our dinner hearing the conversation of the four next to us.
Amber, our server, was the right kind of warm, bubbly and knowledgeable without being intrusive. The greeting at the door was personalized and the ambiance more welcoming than we had estimated from pictures. We messed up on the tab and they gave us the kindest call. We’ll be back!
