Poor value of food and of food preparation for price..
My wife and I had dinner at Yangming with another couple. The service was excellent and the food was good. Overall a good experience. I would recommend it to a friend.
Elegant asian restaurant. Inexpensive for its quality. Noise level allows talking.
We were at Yang Ming to celebrate my son’s birthday. Our service was amazingly attentive! The food was fresh, delicious, and tastefully prepared. All our entrees were excellent. The Peking Duck at Yang Ming is well worth the trip—authentic, fresh, tasty, and chef carved table-side. I highly recommend Yang Ming! Thank you.
It's a staple/go to place for Chinese food for my family, took my mom and her 2 friends and some others to dinner and honestly was not great. The waiter whisked away so quickly, one of my guests asked for a soda and the waiter was gone so fast, he couldn't have heard her, and I had to practically yell repeatedly to call him back, he did not stay around long enough to hear the replies when he asked what drinks we wanted and I was embarrassed that he left without asking my moms friend what she wanted. That happened once again when my husband asked for a drink and waiter came and left so darn quickly before husband had a chance to request another drink. Food was a little on the bland side this particular evening... My guests hardly ate anything.
Excellent service and great food. Definitely recommend to others.
Slightly less good than usual. Food was seasoned with too much pepper. Sesame chicken not up to par. Waiter forgot to bring appetizer. Hope this is just a one off experience
Arrived on time for our reservation for six and were seated at a nice table in the back of the restaurant, which is much bigger than it appears. It is a big place. The service was slow and very attentive, but not a problem. The menu is extensive, but not overwhelming. It has everything you could want and more, but was manageable. The “hot and spicy” dishes were just that, but were not overbearing - they were for people who can’t eat hot food. If you like hot food and cans can handle it then you should order it because it is quite good. The portions are quite large and they served both white and brown rice to the table. We even ordered dessert, which took some time to prepare. It was good but not worth the wait. The restaurant was worth the drive and we would go again as it was minutes from the Blue Route - just past Villanova - and had plenty of parking.
The server was extremely rude and cold didn’t answer our questions with professional manners food wasn’t to great for the price service was very poor I don’t know why they charged 20% service charged which was close to $30 for this kind of poor service
Yangming has great food, great staff. I am always treated like an old friend, thanks.
We rate all Chinese food to yang ming and no one compares. If you like great service, Chinese, szechuan and/or Chinese fusion food this is your place.
We were welcomed when we arrived, even though we had two adolescent boys with us and arrived late for a Saturday dinner, when they were fully booked. They seated us quickly and responded promptly and willingly to whatever we requested, even helping the boys figure out what to drink. They had counted on a cola, but that was one of the few things Yang Ming did not offer. They finally came up with an unusual sort of lemonade which the boys happily finished off.
We shared most of our choices. And even though we were trying a number of dishes, and several were interesting combinations of ingredients to and cuisines, everything they brought we all enjoyed. Food is well prepared, clearly made to order, and abundant enough that as much as we enjoyed our choices, there was plenty left to take home.
I have been there for lunch and dinner. The food is always freshly and well-prepared, and the service courteous and friendly. Great place for families, though they also have more intimate seating for dates. Did I mention banquets? Somehow they manage all of this excellent food and service with banquet hall events going on as well.
Food was delicious and Richard was great! We will be back!
Service was great and the food was great as it always is.
Very lovely lunch with my husband for Valentine’s Day. Low key, quiet, great food. It is one of our favorites!
WE went there as I saw them on Fox 29 Good Day Philadelphia celebrating Chinese New Year. There was a whole fried fish - one of my Cuban husband's favorite meal when we go down to Miami. So I made a reservation and we went. The fish did not disappoint and the sauce served with it was delicious! Everything was wonderful, service was very attentive, and it was worth the drive from NJ. The even treated us to a free dessert for our anniversary. We will go back.
The food is good and the ambiance is good. It just falls short of top tier but nice if you are hankering for chinese food.
We loved the Chinese New Year banquet. We have come in past years as well. Every course was so delicious!
This was my first time here and it did not disappoint. Just loved it! Great for any occasion. Elegant yet comfortable --- there are gourmet entrees but delicious standards also!
Going to Yang Ming is a special occasion for us. The food was wonderful. We started off with 2 Spring Rolls each. I had the Caesar Salad with pears--should have ordered two of them, as it was that good. Next, the chicken with coconut. There was so much, I took some home for lunch the next day. Two of our friends came along-their first time. They said that they'd be back.
Hadn’t been for some time, but it was just as good as I remembered it. Lunch hour was quiet, which was lovely. Service was prompt and just the right level of attentive. Perfect portion sizes and delicious mango chicken entree.
We enjoyed it even more our second visit. Perfect for us for an after movie dinner date (movie at Bryn Mawr Institute).
Have always enjoyed dining there when we visit an aunt in the area. Food is always exceedingly tasty. I love the seasonal specials and find that they are willing to "step out of the comfort zone" in combining interesting ingredients. Service is excellent and friendly. Atmosphere is very comfortable. For a neighborhood restaurant it deserves a "5".
A cut above the rest in terms of quality of the food and atmosphere.
Excellent food at reasonable prices.
John our waiter was 👍
It was New Year's Eve...a very busy night. Service was good, but a little slower than usual due to the unusually large crowd. Menu was more limited than usual, and that is perfectly understandable. Tables were equipped with party hats and noise makers...a fun option for the evening. Yangming is always a safe bet. The food is terrific and the price is very reasonable.
Everything was good !
Delicious food. Lovely atmosphere. Service was great. Quiet, as it was lunch.
Yang Ming is an excellent Chinese Restaurant in Radnor PA. Our waiter provided excellent service and a few funny jokes. The Peking Duck is superb and prepared table side. We enjoyed the dumplings and spring rolls. They have a full bar with specialty cocktails. The restaurant has a few private rooms with large round table that can be reserved in advance. These rooms are excellent when having dinner with family members who have difficulty hearing because they are very quiet. Years ago this restaurant was closed down and renovated. It is very clean. I have never had a bad meal here.
The food was excellent as was the service. They have a creative and delicious take on standard Chinese food.
I was hesitant to go back after the inspection debacle but was so glad I did. The place is spotless, the service is attentive and professional, and the food is delicious and served beautifully. We were friends getting together after a while so we had a lot to catch up on. The waIter was patient but right there when we needed something. Service was impeccable.
We started with egg rolls which were warm, crispy but flaky, fresh filling and delicious dipping sauces (2). I had the almond crusted branzino special with sides of roasted potatoes and a broccoli rabe like side and my friend had a delicious filet cooked perfectly. Both meals came with a side of perfectly cooked rice. For dessert we shared a warm apple tart with ice cream. The pastry melted in our mouths.
Very reasonable prices too. I will definitely go back.
I had heard about Yang Ming for decades and we finally went there for dinner. It's a beautiful restaurant and is quiet. The service is great. The food, however, is like a number of highly regarded restaurants that have been around for a long time. It was ok. I had a sense that the restaurant revolution that has gone on in Philadelphia and surroundings has left Yang Ming behind. A nice dinner but not special.
It is always difficult to be seated behind a table with several small children including a crying baby. That coupled with two entrees that were described as spicy, but tasted bland and lacking any punch made for a mediocre evening.
We love Yangming. We get take-out almost every week. But they need to keep on their toes. We went for sit-down, not take-out, and the Szechuan menu spicy beef dish was like the beef in a "soup" of spicy gravy, NOT so good as when I've had it take-out. Careless.
We like our waiters usually, but this one was sort of "out of it." Seemed confused, not sure what to do, inattentive and distracted by too many tables to cover.
The hot & sour soup was lukewarm.
They should know, quality control is VERY important.
It is an INSULT to customers to have to watch Fox News at the bar TV.
Our first visit, and we were very impressed with both the food and service. Our meals were so flavorful and had quality ingredients, from the fresh vegetables to the chicken. All had the best texture, so good that each mouthful was a pleasure to bite into. The service was friendly and efficient, with enough check-ins to make sure we had what we needed. My glass of house Chardonnay was so good I was tempted to a second. We will definitely return when in the area.
Good food and drink. Yangming would be the perfect spot to also include a delightful later - evening piano lounge or piano bar on its premises. In the middle of their dining room there is a nice piano, and it gave us this good idea, as there really isn't anywhere else on The Main Line which offers such a place .
We have been going to Yangming for may years; it is one of our favs!!!
Brought a group of 12 and was seated at a large round table with a lazy susan. Was just terrific. Tried lots of dishes. All were very good, except peking duck. Definitely gets your money's worth. Will go again when we have a bigger group.
Wonderful in every way. The shrimp with honey walnut was incredible, so was the wine.
