   Everything was over priced & mostly deep fried. They didn't even offer hot water. You hv to order yourself & pay each time you order.

   Enjoyed our first visit and enjoyed all our dishes. Pear / avo salad, "Bolo rice", congee pot pie, chicken wings - all great. Will definitely return!

   The food was pretty good but the presentation could’ve been better. And maybe better photos of your dishes on the QR menu. Also wish there was more servers available to take orders in person. Kind of weird you are forced to pay up front.

   the congee pot pie was life changing and brought tears to my eyes from deliciousness and the pain of the cost. it’s a small cup of chowder size bowl for $18/$30. the katsu was also really great. other dishes were either fail (pickles) or interesting but poorly executed (the beets dish had great dressing but the giant chunks of beets overwhelmed the flavor). overall the portions were small for price

   Pay my $250.00 dollar bill before I get served...not including giving a tip before getting served??? The food is amazing. The service was weird at best. Two different waiters kept asking us if we had questions. I couldn't figure out who was our waiter. Difficult to order wine as they don't have a menu to show you what they are offering. It's not inexpensive but "The Food Was Amazing"!!!

    Great experience! It was for sure “elevated” yet I was still eating comfort food. Price is on the higher side, but it’s to be expected for this type of restaurant. Will definitely come back.

    Too pricey to try and demand on line ordering from your table- with the need to go elsewhere in the restaurant to order drinks and desserts. Too many dishes were deep fried unless you want that sort of thing. Prices were far too high for the quality and taste of most dishes. $65 for a $35 steak; $42 for 3 overcooked, none-too-flavorful tiger shrimp. The much touted wings were tasty but not exceptional. The rice porridge with abalone was probably our favorite dish - that wasn’t deep fried at least. . Other than the apple Rum Cake, desserts were cloyingly sweet. (And I usually love cheesecake and pear tarts)

    We were seated on time as we had a reservation. The staff was very nice and the food came fast. Quality was really good except the abalone congee which was not edible. We were asked by 3 different staffers how we were doing. We told all of them about the congee. They apologized but did nothing. At least offer to get us something else like elsewhere. Not cool. No responsibility. Also it’s a pay as u go so tipping each time was awkward. Not a fan of this and it takes away from your experience. Here’s your beer. PAY. Here’s your Wings. PAY. Here’s your dessert. PAY AGAIN. I will probably not return.

    Have dined at Yangban a few times now and always pleased with the quality and creativity of the food. Where they falter a bit is with the drinks and the "cafeteria" dine-in style even though it's a seated, full-service experience. They require you to pay when you order, even if at the table. So it's quite annoying to run your card every time you add something, especially drinks. Speaking of drinks, they are pre-bottled and VERY hit or miss. Not to mention the servers kept bringing us the wrong ones multiple times.

    The “cafeteria style” service is a cute idea but not if I’m spending >$100 per person. Service was inconsistent and staff seemed poorly trained. The food is good, but not great. The restaurant itself is cool, but overall wouldn’t return.

    Food was good as always but service was a miss last night. For a restaurant that charges a cancellation fee, they had no problem disregarding my reservation to be seated inside. My reservation was at 8:15 and for inside seating but at 8:30, they asked us if we wanted to sit outside because it would take a while to be seated inside. We waited another 20 minutes and with no available seating, we opted to sit outside. And to make matters worse, it started to rain. My experience at Yangban is usually a good one but last night, while the food was amazing as usual, the service was not.

    Cool, casual atmosphere with Korean comfort food. Ordered way too much because everything on the menu sounded amazing. Korean Bolognese, congee pot pie and wings were the highlights. More casual than other DTLA restaurants nearby (and don't use the Bestia valet if you need to be somewhere on time!)

    Food was interesting. Some dishes worked and some was kind of underwhelming (looking at you biscuit and gravy and the caramelized potatoes). The oddest part was that they asked us to pay for the food and the tip BEFORE getting the food. It was a bit odd because it was hard for me to tip the server if service hadn't yet been rendered. But I get why restaurants are doing this to prevent dine and dash, I suppose. The space is in the old BonTemps place.

    Micheal our server was such an amazing individual helping us navigate through our first experience at Yangbang. The double fried chicken with Terra was an amazing combination and delicious. Looking forward to coming back and many more entrees

    Had the best meal here last night. I had read a lot about this restaurant so I was expecting it to be delicious and it even exceeded my expectations!! The chef came out to greet our table because I have an annoying food allergy and had a few questions about what I could eat. She could not have been nicer and more accommodating. Run don’t walk.. Yangban Society is legit.

    The only thing that seemed a little disjointed was a constant stream of foh staff asking how our meal was, it didn’t seem that they were communicating with each other as we had 4 different servers ask how we were doing throughout the meal. But otherwise everything else was great.

    Creative and super tasty dishes for the adventurous, great portions for sampling, reasonable in pricing, dishes makes for great conversation, great atmosphere. And the desserts! YUM. The whipped cheesecake-- to die for! I would come here again and bring friends for any occasion, even thought it is WAY out of my comfort driving range. It's worth it!
