   We had an extraordinary experience- it was an evening that will live in our memories for quite a while. The food and service were just incredible. We can’t wait to return to Yangban!

   Very good food quality, good ambience, but staff was not great to me for the price I paid. My actual server was ok overall but a couple others in back of house bringing me dishes insulted me a couple times. I was not offered a dessert wine/coffee either even though I paid for a wine pairing pre-fixe. Pacing for the pre-fixe/pairings felt completely off the whole time. I left feeling awkward, insulted, and way too full.

   I had dinner with two other people and we did the prix-fixe menu, which meant six courses (more?) served family style. Highlights were the scallop hand roll, the green salad, tteok, and of course the chicken wings (totally worth the hype!). We were pretty indifferent about the banchan, though nobody particularly liked the avocado and pear. Sea bream was good, not great. Steak was good but fatty, and not the melt-in-your-mouth kind of fat that you want to eat; this was chew-on-it-and-spit-it-out fatty. Dessert was chef’s choice, and we were brought everything but the sundae (and the sundae was what we all had read about!). All good, but nothing that will stick in my memory. I’d go back for the chicken wings, tteok, and green salad, which would make for a perfectly good dinner for one (or two, if you added another dish or two).

   Food and service were wonderful. The wings, fish (the skin was perfect!), and banchan were the highlights for sure. One of my favorite service touches was the provided purse hook. The only criticisms I have are that the Jeju sencha tea had no flavor (I kept on commenting that it tasted like butter because the only flavor that came through was the chestnut instead of cha), and the lighting was much too low (l get ambience, which is fine and appreciated, but it was almost just a pitch black dark room in there and it made seeing the menu a challenge).

   It was a good dining experience. Everything was good. Three dishes stood out for us: the fried chicken wings were flavorful and addicting, albeit a little pricey. The seabream was cooked perfectly and the sauce was complex and tasty. The matzah soup mandu was warming and tasted like concentrated chicken soup (in a good way). We ordered two desserts, the fudge and the cheesecake, both left us wanting more. Service was good with some room for improvement.

   Super wonderful meal as per usual. The wings…. WOOOOOO. The tteok with the crab added in. Fireeeeeee. Literally always so amazing.

   SUPER IMPRESSED!!! Can’t wait to be back! The food were amazing. Our server were great as well. I believe his name is Michael. The service provided elevated our experience tonight. To the point I had to write this glowing review right away. We did the pre fixed menu. Out of everything the Tteok & Grilled King’s Cut Short Rib were the highlight of our dinner. We would come back just for those two items. Thank you for a great night!!!

   The flavors were all so interesting and delicious and our server was exceptional. I had been here before they changed the layout and at the time didn’t think they lived up to their full potential. I can honestly say that they have arrived!

    Staff and service were incredible as was the food! Standouts were the wings and the tteok. Atmosphere was vibey and cozy will definitely be back.
