Yanagi Sushi & Grill - Dublin
I love everything about this place, the food, the plum wine, and the service. The young gentleman that cooked our food ,in front of us ,was extremely entertaining! I am definetaly going to come back again! It was a perfect experience! Yes! Perfect! And they say that there is no such thing as perfect! Thank you everyone who works here! You are all awesome!
Tried some different sushi. Found it to be very good. Friendly staff
Great for kids and our chef from Indonesia was awesome. He really went out of his way to make our kids happy and laugh.
Birthday party of 9 so fun get together. Only disappointment was service very slow and had to chase waiter or waitress a couple times for service. Because some ordered Sushi and some off the hibachi grill,
those who ordered Sushi were done before we even got started and then had to watch our food be prepared. It would have been nice to all eat at the same time. Otherwise, food was great, Hibachi Chef very good with fun personality.
Good! Enjoyed the food!
Good food reasonably priced wasn’t happy with the service. Lady was short and not as kind as she could have been. Not my normal experience with them. She said that right things but it seemed like she was uninterested/ bothered and didn’t have as much care as what I normally experience here. I would and will go back but it was an off night.
Maybe it just wasn't a great day at Yanagi. My friends and I went to Yanagi to have lunch. We were seated quickly and our waitress took our order in what seemed like a reasonable amount of time. Cool! So we wait. And wait. And wait. My friend and I ordered the sushi lunch combo and our plates came out first. We continued to wait for our other friends' plates to come, but nothing for about 15 minutes. We tried flagging down staff to ask for their food, but it was hard to get anyone's attention. When we got to asking our waitress if their food was ready, she went to the counter and immediately picked the dishes up. It's clear they had been ready for quite some time, but just didn't deliver them to our table. Overall the experience was OK, but if what we went through is a common occurrence, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We had theDragon Roll it was very good and huge, also had the Sashimi Salad it was excellent. They have decent wine too.
I love this place.
The food was salty and not as good as other grills where they cook at the table.
Food tasted wonderful, chef was a blast and the service efficient! Very good!
I was with my 4 yo daughter and she loooved her chicken teriyaki meal!
Service was awful. We were seated at the teppanyaki table and the waiter didn’t come for close to ten minutes. Took our teppanyaki orders plus a spider roll. The teppanyaki chef came and he was entertaining!!! The food was bad either. We finished eating and our spider roll was never served. The check came and we were charged for the spider roll though. Not a super great experience for a birthday celebration.
Excellent choice of menu; prompt service and venue is very easy to find.
This is, by far, our favorite local teppanyaki place. The chefs are all so friendly and personable. The food is always good and you’ll always have leftovers for lunch tomorrow.
We came in to dine in the regular section of the restaurant. Service was pretty quick, but every server managed all the tables, so it wasn’t as personal as at other restaurants. We ordered sushi, katsudon, and gyoza. Surprisingly the sushi came out first, followed by gyoza, and the katsudon. The katsudon was well made and with a good ratio of rice to everything else, which my husband loved. The gyoza was okay, the same as what we could get at another sushi restaurant. I ordered 2 sushi rolls, and while they were pretty different, they both had one texture throughout the whole roll, which was kind of mushy. Not the best sushi considering how pricey it was. Maybe we’ll try the grill side next time.
Service was poor waitress never asked after initial order if we need drinks or anything else.
This is my favorite sushi restaurant! The food is always good and great customer service!
Great place a for everyday.
I made reservation for my daughters birthday, party of 5 at 7:30. When we arrived we were told it would be a 20 minute wait to be seated. We went to the sushi bar had a snack and a glass of wine. We saw two teppanyaki tables open up and were looking forward to being seated. At 8:15, 2 parties sat down at those tables and it did not look as though any other tables were finishing up. I went over to the hostess to ask what was going on and she said there were 2 reservations ahead of us. It was 8:15, we had been waiting for 45 minutes and we were beyond annoyed. If there were 2 reservations ahead of us, why were we told it would only be a 20 minutes wait and not informed that they were running behind in regards to their reservations. We left the restaurant and had to find another restaurant to eat at. They did comp our wine and snack. Very disappointing experience, especially when my daughter was looking forward to celebrating her birthday there.
Our dinner at Yanagi Sushi was great. However my Opentable reservation did not show on their system when I checked in but they were still able to accommodate us.
Randy, our teppan chef, was one of the best I’ve ever had (in about 2 dozen teppan dinners). The meals were a decent value for the amount of food. We also had a roll, which was great. And, best of all, there was no odor of fish — a sure sign of a good sushi place.
Our son’s 23rd birthday!
My main criticism is that we felt very rushed, as soon as we were seated she wanted our drink orders.
I hadn't even opened my menu yet!
Half of our party didn't have complete menus, so
I didn't even get to order a sushi roll as I never saw the menu, she was back within a few minutes to get our order started.
Was recommended by a friend to go there for a birthday celebration, our whole experience was over in 45 minutes and it was $200 with tip for 4 people with no alcoholic beverages. The chef was pretty good and the food we had was tasty.
Thought it was rather costly considering it was such a quick dinner and didn't feel like a special birthday for our daughter!
Should have went to Blue Gingko or Yo's instead but we thought kids would enjoy the teppan.
Very good sushi and excellent service.
