Our experience was fantastic at Yakitori Kona! The wait staff was very attentive to us from the moment we entered. Their specialty cocktails were spot on and amazing. We both had Poke bowls and a shrimp tempura appetizer. I highly recommend this restaurant next time you visit the Virginia Highlands area!

The service was incredibly slow, and the drinks took over an hour to arrive. Our main course arrived over the next hour, with significant delays between each person getting their dish. This left the first entree, chicken yakitori, cold by the time the final sushi roll was received. The music in the restaurant also kept turning off. The food and drinks were good, but service could be improved.

Overall lovely service with a great ambiance and delicious food. A little pricy but what isn’t these days. My friends and I had a great time.

Tony the bartender is amazing not to mention the chefs working behind them. My partner & I enjoyed a delicious array of craft cocktails that were interesting & full of depth. The Yakitori was nothing short of delicious cuts of proteins and hearty veggies!

Food is delicious, get the yakitori sample. 6 skewers was the perfect amount with a shared shrimp tempura app. Sebastian behind the bar was making great drinks all night.
