   Really good Izakaya style place to have dinner. We had a number of dishes from yakitori skewers to starters, to drinks. Reasonable costs considering the amount of food we had. Can get a bit loud but noise levels are dependent upon how many people are in the place. Good attentive service by the wait staff.

   It was my sister’s birthday and we had a blast. Service was quick, and the food was great. Everyone pigged out. A few of my friends had never been and were pleasantly surprised by the tasty food and strong drinks. I recommend the Tokyo Tea. It’s delicious and deadly!    Pretty good experience. Great selection of food. Yakitori was great. Salmon bento was pretty good. Close to convention center for an easy dinner after a long day.

   The food was very good and for a great price, loved the ambiance, and the general manager even took time to show us the karaoke rooms when we inquired about having our bachelor/bachelorette party there! Everything was great!

   One of the best places in Chinatown that you can find. They have karaoke rooms above the restaurant but the restaurant maintains a decent volume decibel for general conversation. Japanese Tapas style. If you’re in the mood to share dishes with your partner in crime, then this is the place to go!

   Food - yakitori was not cooked on open fire, tasted more like from the oven - if it were, they should be on the fire longer. Bland noodle (def not ramen) broth, maybe thats why the server recommended spicy for everything, because it will have flavors at least. But tbf generous bamboo shoots. Chef could maybe try learning how to soft boil eggs. Service - constantly adding water, good. But not giving us enough time to read the long menu; came back twice shortly after we asked for more time.

    Went for a last minute date after booking online. We got our waters right away then didn’t see our server for another 15 minutes, which we thought was odd because we’re used to putting drinks & apps right away. For drinks, we got a sake flight and a smoky mango - they were OK, not strong at all. Food was okay, ordered the teriyaki salmon and some shrimp tempura sushi. Nothing special, tbh

    The server was not to enthused. The food was not seasoned and the presentation was horrible. I did not have a good experience, I would not go back or recommend a friend. I would rather go to a chinese store.

    It’s been over a year since I last went to Yakitori Boy so I was looking forward to going back. Food and alcohol selection has never been a disappointment. They did discontinue one of my favorite dishes, Beef Nagamaki which is what I was looking forward to getting. I hope they bring it back! I think the business might be under new ownership? Either way, it wasn’t a disappointment after not being there for quite some time and it is a great spot for getting together with friends or celebrating a birthday. The service was great too our waiter was able to give us recommendations.

    Always fabulous!!! Great food and awesome server! We ate outside last night- the music, the sake, the yellowtail, the spicy tuna, just never disappoints! Oh the fried ice cream birthday cake was soooooo good! Our server gave numerous recommendations and he was 100% every time! One of our favorite places to go with or without kids!👍🏻🍶🍱

    This was a very disappointing meal. Prior to the pandemic, this was our favorite place to eat. The quality has deteriorated, the menu has shrunk significantly- eliminating our favorites, the wait staff was not attentive leaving one of my party without water for most of the meal, and portions are significantly smaller. The yakitori were also inconsistently cooked leaving the middle bits of the skewers inedible with how rare they were. The Brussel sprouts were still amazing, but even the sushi left something to be desired as the rolls were falling apart and not rolled tightly or cut evenly and served with inadequate wasabi. The tempura came out gummy as opposed to crisp and no longer includes lotus root but has carrot and bell pepper. Definitely the last time I will be going to this restaurant.

    Came here to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. The food was amazing and very reasonable. Staff was so helpful and friendly and the drinks…OMG they were sooo delicious. Walked outta there kinda drunk, lol. Will DEFINITELY be returning!!
