Yakitori Boy Japas - Philadelphia
It is just a normal Chinese owned Japanese restaurant. Not authentic at all. Food is ok. My server is good. If you are looking for authenticity, don't go. I am a bit disappointed. Don't let the website fool you.
Never disappoint.. the quality of their food far outweighs the cost.. you’ll get more than your money’s worth.
Restaurant week nice options good food great service
I loved it. The mood inside was wonderful and the service was quick. I went for restaurant week and the $35 for more than worth it. Each course got better and better
I was in philly for a conference, and this place was within walking distance of our hotel. Service was attentive, at times too attentive, when last piece of food was removed from serving platter, some one quickly whisked it away along with dipping sauce. Food was tasty and swiftly brought to table, which i liked since we were starving. Will definitely go back
Dinner was amazing and the service was great.
Very good cheap eats
The food for restaurant week was great, filling, seasoned well and the service was timely.
I went to this place on restaurant week. And luckly it was happy hour. Amazing experince. Good food and good environment to have a good talk
Good location, nice ambiance, great sushi. And who can say no to karaoke?
Food was phenomenal!!! Loved it all!! Sushi and the yakitori!
Food was sub-par, restaurant was really dark. Would not go back.
Food was great always
Much better than expected. Dinner downstairs was great and karaoke upstairs was even better.
We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this dining experience!!
Although the service was good, the food was less than appealing. Greasy udon noodles and forgettable gyozas. The Yakitori skewers were okay. Creepy atmosphere and loud drunken parties. Ah well...
Had a wonderful time at Yakitori! Good food, great service and an energetic atmosphere! Thank you for having us!
It was wonderful
Amazing! Went for a bachelorette party and the service was fast, the drinks were great, and everyone was friendly!
Only problem is those little sticks are so good and at a glance $2-3 a piece is pretty cheap but after a few drinks you lose track of how many you ate and before you know it you just spent $100.. don't misunderstand though, they're worth it. Just a little advice for those who may appreciate it.
Great food 🍣🍚🍸
Went for the $1 skewers which were good and a lot of fun to eat. We also got a few items off the menu to supplement the skewers. The service was excellent--wait staff very attentive and quick with food and beverages. Not too loud, which was a relief. Would go again
We love Jenna and go back for her service and the chicken meat balls
First time on a Saturday night at the Yakitori Boy. A lot to choose from on the menu. We didn't have sushi (gf doesn't eat sushi) but the sushi that arrived at the next table looked very good. Shrimp tempura , sweet potato tempura were great. They kitchen knows how to fry tempura. Tried salmon neck.
I could have had a couple more. Great tasty appetizer. Chicken yakitori was very good as well. I had the unagi (eel) don. We didn't do karaoke.
Servers were attentive . Food came out on time.
Not many other options, so would recommend on lack of other options. Not bad if you're in the area, but not spectacular enough to travel for. Decent selection of yakatori items, but pricier and not as well executed as I hoped.
Nice ambiance! Great food and customer service. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend. And I can't forget the great music selection.
We usually go here during the week and it is absolutely perfect! We went on a Saturday and late, and it was excruciatingly loud! It was so crowded we had to eat at a little corner at the bar! The guests near us were drunk and loud and literally in order to eat food and peas, I had to wear air plugs. I love this place and I love their food but I will never go on a Saturday night again. We will know better next time. Thank you for still having fresh and delicious food even with the frenzied commotion. It was amazing, still. Even, at 1:15 in the morning!
Great friendly service and very good sushi and happy hour specials
The food was delicious my first time experiencing sushi and I will be going again.
Thank you for being open late night, and having such a wonderful server, Jenna, who took care of us very well! We loved the food it was the freshest sushi we’ve ever had! What a delight!
Absolutely fantastic! Our favorite server, Jenna, we always have the most perfect meal, when she is there! It was a Wednesday, and it was calm and quiet, and the food was the freshest we have ever had there!!
The food is always great here, but the service is better when Jenna is there!! 😇🙏
Excellent place for our Easter dinner. We got a box each, some sushi and an appetizer. Finished it of with some great dessert and it all came out to only $50 for both. Great value for amazing food - also had a great server, so sweet and caring giving us great recommendations. Will for sure be back, sooner than later!
Thank you very much for an amazing dining experience! Our server was courteous, attentive, accommodating, and demonstrated a thorough knowledge of the menu; providing some excellent suggestions. This was our third visit and we will certainly return again sometime soon!
Great little place with extensive menu all well prepared..The skewers are their signature. I had the chicken livers and eggplant to start.. Perfection! Wednesday sushi special roll with four pieces only $2.50.. service was friendly gracious and attentive in central Philadelphia! going back tonight.
It's a nice experience, dark, quiet, romantic. Food is average at best. Service, although friendly and accurate, needs to be more attentive. Pricing is fair. I would go back but it wouldn't be high on the list.
Great food. We shared a lot of different items from the menu, and they were all very tasty. It was served very fast.
