Had heard great things about this restaurant and was in search of a last minute yakiniku spot to celebrate a friend's birthday. They were able to accommodate us earlier than our reservation time due to the space in the restaurant and the food was very delicious and well prepared. The wagyu stake was our favorite. Overall great experience.
The food was great! All the meat was fresh.
I don’t usually do reviews but, simply put… Every dish was sublime from beginning to end. I don’t have photos to post because we were so consumed with the meal. Highly recommended and we will 1000% be going back!
High Quality Beef that's very rare to find in the USA. Reasonable price for these high quality meat.
Food was exceptional. Waygu beef melts in our mouths. But a couple of the waiter/waitresses were very rude and borderline yelled at us when we asked questions.
This was one of my go to place when I was living in Tokyo. I expected the same level of service and food, but I was very disappointed at their service although quality of meal exceeded my expectation.
I don’t think they have nailed the operations yet after 3 months of opening. After we were seated for 15min, no one came to greet us or provided water. The manager is very rude, and other servers did not know what they were doing. They need to level up their service quick.
Good quality of meat but the service is the worst I have seem for a Japanese/Asian restaurant.
Delicious Japanese style Korean BBQ. It's brand new opened from Japan. Clean & Stylish place. I will be a regular.
On the plus side, the food and ambience of Yakiniku Toraji is really good. Everything we ate was really good.
On the negative, the service is horrible. Not rude, just utterly lacking. I realize that restaurants have a hard time with staff these days, but a restaurant that costs around $75 per person really should have a better handle on service. Much of the floor staff doesn't speak very good English, food came out very haphazard with long waits for basic things. Courses were served out of order and accompaniments had to be requested multiple times.
Discret from the outside, very sophisticated design from the inside, with beautiful wooden panels. Extraordinary choice of Wagyu beef in the menu, great quality, and ample quantities. Great sides of pickled vegetables, kimchi and cold Korean noodles. A wonderful experience for a reasonable price.
Service was good and food was excellent. They have no liquor license
Great place to dine if you like quality Japanese beef.
Amazing quality of meats and very good prices for NYC! Loved everything I ate there :)
Amazing dinner!! Me and my friend enjoyed a lot with the quality of meat and customer service are amazing too!!
Feel like home:)
We had a great time at Toraji. Food were fresh and the presentation was beautiful. The place is clean and has great atmosphere.
The menu is incredibly confusing and inflexible which took three of their servers to explain. None of their server speaks fluent English.
It is a great experience eating there. All the waitress were polite and helpful. One of the ladies helped us and she was very knowledgeable on the cooking time for each kind of meat. One of then appetizers was raw beef, it was amazing!
Perfectly smoke free. Private seating. $58 Yakiniku set comes with enough volume and variety of meat.
