Toraji is a “yakiniku” style BBQ restaurant.Since our first shop has been established in 1995 in Tokyo, Ebisu area, we came a long way.Starting with “namuru” and “kimchi” Korean style steamed and pickeled vegetables, continuing with tongue, ribs and/or outside skirt, finishing with cold noodles or “pibimpab”korean style mixed rice bowl. We are comited to provide you the “yakiniku” you want for the days you feel like having a “yakiniku”.
We as pro won`t do any compromise in terms of ingredients, taste or service, Toraji will continue to promote the right way the yakiniku culture, bringing taste, happiness and health to our customers.

The meat was great. We enjoyed the food. It took like an hour for our meat to arrive at our table though.

One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in NYC! As a first time diner, I highly enjoyed the Wagyuu Set, as it allowed me to try a variety of differently prepared meats. Everything was done thoughtfully and tasted divine; I especially loved the egg yolk-topped nikudon. The service is also outstanding, they were attentive but not at all intrusive. My friends and I loved our meal so much, we booked our next visit before we even got up from our table.

So yummy! Felt like i was in a restaurant in japan. Our server Yasue was very friendly, warm and attentive. Will definitely be back!

Yakiniku at Gen East Village was really good. It is the best Japanese BBQ that I have ever had in NYC. We will be back.
