Kind of a slow night for the restaurant but that was to our benefit! Outstanding service. Outstanding meals.
My husband and I were looking for a change to our usual neighborhood restaurants and hadn't been to Xochitl in quite a while. We were welcomed warmly and seated promptly. We very much enjoyed our meal, (shrimp appetizer in a tomato broth over horseradish mashed potatoes, Snapper Veracruz for me and Carnitas tacos for my husband) that we ordered the same menu choices for takeout a few days later when our family members, coming from Boston and Virginia, were arriving at uncertain times. They join me in complimenting the chef.
Perfect restaurant for a date night. Service was excellent, we never had to wait For a drink and the food came out very timely (and was delicious). Staff was friendly and attentive. Ambient atmosphere. 10/10.
Food was delicious, service was courteous, atmosphere was wonderful.
Disappointed by the margaritas! Couldn’t even taste the tequila. All ice and they were $10 each. Food is mediocre. Had guacamole and chips, yucca fries, queso fundido , and chicken enchilada. Chicken enchiladas had good flavors except the meet was dark meat and didn’t go well. The guacamole was mediocre. Chips not so good. Queso fundido was terrible—tasted like heated up frozen .
Used to love this place and the last two times the food and service has definitely gone downhill!
We will return, hidden secret!
Food was very tasty, drinks were good, servers were attentive. Unfortunately the menu was limited compared to pre-COVID times. We missed the array of interesting and authentic Mexican dishes, now being limited primarily to standard tacos, enchiladas and a few others. Hoping they will be able to get back to where they were prior to the pandemic. They've always been one of my favorites, especially compared to other Mexican restaurants.
Great variety of Mexican cuisine
Not your typical Mexican restaurant.
Great Service and tasty
Service was very slow and unfriendly, like we were bothering them by being there
food and drinks delicious but pricey. service could be a bit faster and more genuine
Server/Bartender had the personality of Wood.
Awesome place great food
Food was amazing, drinks were great. They have a customer for life.
We recently discovered this restaurant and it’s now our favorite spot. Everyone is super nice, drinks are awesome and food is great! Huge fan!!
Love this place! Such great food! Do yourself a favor and go!
House guacamole was delicious
Great food, sat outside, great service will be back!!
We’ve been three times and like the veggie tacos. The guac and salsa could be tastier, but they’re pretty fresh and authentic
Delicious meal and right in head house square. Felt a bit rushed by staff.
Amazing food, drinks, service, and overall ambiance! Would 10/10 recommend.
Great spot for a birthday dinner! Only complaint was the chairs at the outdoor table were uncomfortable.
They were very short staffed but tried to
It was an amazing experience. The good and the service was amazing. Highly recommend this place. Will he coming back soon
Our server Monica was great!
What an amazing experience we had! Friendly and personable service, OUTSTANDING margs and the food was even better! You do not want to miss out on visiting this gem. We will definitely be back when we head back to Philly next time.
Food was decent, nothing great or anything bad, just felt indifferent. Service was subpar. The host was clearly annoyed that my reservation was for outdoor seating, and I asked if we could sit inside since it was too hot outside. Our waitress literally was taking the plates away as I was finishing up my last bite…we were there for no more than an hour.
Excellent experience! LOVE the custom guacamole, the black truffle was such a fun addition. Veggie tacos had SO much flavor. Great service and drinks.
We have eaten at numerous Mexican restaurants. Xochitl was superb. The black truffle Guacomole was a great start to the meal. The mains were well prepared and authentic. We were transported from Philadelphia back to Mexico.
Our waitress, Monica, was fabulous and made the experience amazing! The margaritas were fabulous! Spicy watermelon cucumber margarita was excellent! The ceviche was awesome and the chips were excellent. The fried shrimp tacos were great and the chicken enchiladas were good too!!! Great restaurant, fabulous waitress and overall great evening!!!
Food was mediocre. Stale chips with guacamole. Drinks watered down
This was a fun place, and we loved the food.
Incredible food and drinks, employees were very accommodating and careful about dietary restrictions. Sat outside under a lovely brick archway.
Xochit never disappoints. The corn on the cob special was amazing. The margaritas were just right and went down easy. Shrimp tacos and veggie tacos were flavorful. The server was friendly and provided great feedback. We dinned outside and the weather was perfect. So glad to be back!
The food took very long to come out, about 45 minutes. Then the appetizers and main course came out 5 minutes apart. The guacamole was average as it was very creamy and I like mine with chunks of avocado in it. The shrimp tacos were ok, deep fried and the shrimp was big but they weren't amazing in taste. Overall the food was ok, the street was quiet and some soft playing music would have been nice.
The food is so delicious and the service is great. I always love coming here!!
Loved it will definitely visit again!!
Authentic. Tasty. Drinks were excellent. Area was nice
Did was horrible. Margaritas we disgusting. Rice was half cooked and had a weird taste. I ordered Queso and they gave me melted cheese that was burnt and had a grilled cheese consistency. I would never come back her $250 wasted down the drain in horrible food and drinks. By far the worst Mexican slot I’ve even been to. Would not recommend at all. Way better Mexican restaurants to choose from.
Had an ok experience here.
Service was pretty bad , our waitress was less than energetic but we gave her the benefit of the doubt.
when asked about food we didn’t receive and thought “she might have forgot” she answered us with “ I only have so many hands”.
Tried to get her attention all night and felt like we were bothering her.
We waited for 2 orders of tacos and sides for what seemed like an hour. Food was okay.
Drinks were great can’t complain about that.
Spent over 200 at this place and to be honest it wasn’t worth it.
