We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Xochitl. The service was efficient and friendly, the food was wonderful and we look forward to returning!
Loved the margaritas, the salsa verde and the option for adding custom ingredients to the guacamole!
Very disappointing meal. We eat at Xochitl occasionally but hadn’t been for a few months. Not sure if there’s a new chef, but the menu has shrunk considerably. It’s turning into a taco joint. Usually the made-to-order guacamole is delicious; it was awful. The add ins were barely chopped and the taste was mediocre. We got the tacos and they were ok. The best part was the pumpkin margarita. I guess their bartender is still the same.
Awesome guac and excellent meals
The service was great, food was amazing, and I enjoyed my time dining there. I would definitely go again!
Drinks and food were delicious! Highly recommend!
Outstanding food and service! I LOVE this place!!!! The food is spectacular, the service is phenomenal, and it just the BEST! Love the make your own guacamole and the tacos are to die for!!! I can’t get enough.
Birthday dinner before a concert....it was great!
Hands down THE best guacamole and chips i have ever had. The guacamole is made to order, choose type of onion, tomato, hotness level (spice), and any small additional items like crumbled cheese, etc. The chips are homemade and are delicious, sturdy, salted just right, and hold the guacamole perfectly. The main courses which mostly consist of either enchiladas or tacos are both delicious in their own right being complimented with fantastic sauces. Lastly, the drink selection is large enough to provide enough selection, especially for margaritas which are made very well. Cost is a little on the high side for everything but i don't have a problem paying for this great food, drink, and service.
I LOVE their tacos- both the shrimp and the chicken are to die for! The service is great and the guacamole is also out of this world.
Overall our experience was great- there was a larger group of us (6 for a birthday) and we were able to talk comfortably without being the only ones in the restaurant. The happy hour deals were awesome, our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive, and the food was wonderful. I would absolutely go again have already recommended Xochitl to friends.
Exceptional customer focused service on Meatless Monday and especially when the server learned that one in our group was celebrating a birthday!
Usually love this neighborhood spot. But happy hour drinks are awful. Sangria—red and white—are very watery and flavorless table next to us sent margaritas back-several time.
Very accommodating for a family of 8 which included an almost 4 year old and. 1-3/4 year old. Monica our server was great! A couple of hiccups from the kitchen but they were quickly remedied. I was very disappointed that the guacamole is no longer made tableside. That unique experience was a memory I had hoped to share with our grandchildren. Too bad it has been discontinued.
Delicious margaritas paired with great service. Would definitely recommend!
Service was great. Ambiance was really nice too. Food was extremely mediocre. Entrees were a decent size but I got 3 single-tortilla tacos for $14 and they were not something I would order again. Flavor seemed a little off to me. Same with their special guac with fruits in it - yuck. We did have a classic guac that was a little better but for a place known for their guacamole, both the flavors and the quantity were extremely disappointing. The menu itself is pretty small and there weren’t many dishes I was excited about. There are so many better Mexican places, I would never come back here save for the good service. Really disappointed.
The food was great (but pricey) same with the drinks but the disappointing thing was the service. Not friendly, boarded on rude.
Great place with excellent Mexican food. Some menu items were a little pricey but worth it.
The food here is EXCELLENT. The drinks here are EXCELLENT! Literally the best guacamole I’ve ever had. Tasty tacos, interesting twist on the plantain appetizer, and REALLY good margaritas. The staff is excellent - friendly, attentive, and professional. I immediately wanted to return for dinner on the same day after having lunch there. Unfortunately I had a flight to catch, so dinner wasn’t an option. I will definitely return!
Great food, great music, great hosting.
The chips for the guacamole were pretty stale on both instances however the guacamole was amazing. The enchiladas weren’t that great either. Overall I would give this place a 3.5/5
great food and atmosphere
great food, ok margaritas
We were in a private space downstairs for our group of 9 people- the service was excellent, the food and drink delicious. Would highly recommend Xochitl!
So, so so good! We took a group of friends because it's one of our favorites and everyone loved it!
The staff, food and decor were all amazing. We spent time speaking with the manager and he gave us some background on the restaurant and the history of the building.
It was a great experience all around and I would definitely go back.
Reliable, very good Mexican. It was Margarita Day so maybe more crowded than usual. High noise level. However, that didn’t detract from a very enjoyable meal. The Margaritas were indeed delicious. I had the seafood ajillo which had tons of briny seafood in tangy garlic soup. The tacos and enchiladas were delicious. Service very pleasant and efficient. Will go back soon.
Food was mediocre. The music level was very high for the 3 tables in there were we could barely hear ourselves talk. Also it was very dark to.
It was amazing! Food and drinks were AMAZING! The service was perfect!
This used to be an excellent restaurant. What happened to the menu???? It’s just tacos, an enchilada, salad and a couple ceviche. The food used to be gorgeous!
I ordered the Chili con Mole. The mole sauce and rice were cold, the top of the chili was cold and inside hot.
At 7pm on a Saturday night they were also out of the fried chicken and plantains. We were sat next to a large group downstairs too, was so loud we couldn’t even talk to each other as the group was yelling so loud at each other.
Our server was very attentive though. She was the only good part.
We will never return.
We get seated. No one comes over for 10 min to acknowledge us. A couple next to us then gets seated. Immediately gets served some water. We don't even have that yet. A host or waitress starts to set up another table next to us. Then a waitress starts to take the order of the couple who came in after us. So we decided to leave.

Great food, attentive service. Can’t wait to come back!
Delicious food! Great service! I can't wait to go back again soon!
Had a very good experience dining at Xochitl. The waiters were very attentive and helpful. They even told us the best dishes to get to get the most out of the $35 restraunt week deal. I ordered the tuna tartare, seafood enchiladas and the flan. Everything was prepared very well and tasted very good.
The staff was very attentive and pleasant. The food was very good. The margaritas were delicious!
This was a solid place. Cute inside, good atmosphere and an excellent waitress. Service was quick and informative. The margaritas were flavorful, fresh and moderately strong. Zero bang for your buck alcohol wise though. The cups they served the drinks in were very small, and iced all the way up to the top. We actually specifically asked for less ice for the second round, and in light of less ice, they didn’t fill the glass to the top with actual fluid lol. I tried the shrimp enchiladas, the brisket tacos, the guacamole, the chorizo queso and the salsa. I liked most of everything, besides the salsa. It reminded me of a marinara sauce rather than a salsa. The tacos were good, I liked that they incorporated corn as a topping. The enchiladas were also good, just a heavy cream sauce. Overall, a decent place for decent Mexican food!
Brisket enchiladas were excellent. They supported a modification and put them on corn vs. flour for me due to my gluten sensitivity which was very appreciated. Great drink options - creative cocktails, yummy sangria and plenty of Mexican beer options.
Good food but drinks are watered down.
Christmas gathering of friends.
we had a large party.... 14. perfect location and dinner.
Some of the food was very good - the custom guacamole, the brisket tacos and the chicken tacos were all really good. The carnitas tacos were not good and the shrimp tacos were good but not outstanding. The chips and salsa were fresh but not my favorite. The atmosphere was nice and it was quiet but not dead. The service was just okay and my group of eight was charged an automatic 20% gratuity, which I don’t have a problem with as a rule, but it was not earned in this case. Overall, the bill was over $700 for eight people and it just wasn’t that great.
