Xixón, Asturian for Gijón, a city north of Spain, continues its culinary vision by providing local Miamians and visitors alike with a glimpse and taste of what the real Spanish regional cuisines are all about by upholding to its traditions including Tapas and Wines with high standards of service. We carry an extensive variety of Spanish Wines in our wine cellar located at the Vinoteca, suitable for wine browsing or cozy informal dining, with over 3000 bottles from all major wine regions such as Ribera del Duero, Rioja, Priorat, Toro, Rias Baixas, Bierzo and Jumilla. Full liquor bar with happy hour drink specials Monday-Friday from 5 to 8 pm. Large groups: for reservations of 10 or more people an automatic 18% Tip will be added to all checks. For your protection and to improve payment security we only accept credit cards with EMV chip.

La tortilla española estaba seca. Las croquetas estuvieron bien. El risotto nero, estaba pasado y la fideua fue lo más rico. Muy caro en comparación con la calidad de la comida.

The restaurant canceled our reservation without a call. Luckily, I checked my email and realized we would not have a table. A call would have been the correct customer service action.

Xixon has been a favorite of mine for many years. Somohow, after the original owner sold it, the quality of food and service deteriorated. I'm happy to see that Xixon is moving back to old glory.

Scam Alert Our Paella orders were messed up leaving half of our group eating seafood they did not want instead of meat. Eating my own paella I had the uncomfortable experience of eating three mouthfuls of salt. Apparently chef added salt not stirred. My mother’s fish and potatoes, the boiled potatoes were still hard. This should have been noticed in the kitchen when cutting it to serve. Lastly and egregious a service charge was added to the bill. It was 20%, I let it go because service was very good. But when the bill came back for me to sign it asked for a tip and gave suggestions of of 15%, 18%, 20%. This guy is a scam set up to catch unsuspecting dinners and cheat them. Will never go back to this restaurant again.

We had bellota croquetas that were delicious as well as the paella. Our server was very attentive. Recommend it 100%
