Went with my partner for a random brunch, and it was delectable! Buffet style first course and desserts and also your choice of an entree. We were stuffed! Service was excellent as well, every employee took time out to say hello and items we requested were delivered promptly. We will return with friends!
Buffet style 3-course brunch, food wasn't mindblowing but you definitely get a lot for your money. Free flow clams, shrimp cocktail, and smoked salmon--we ate too much out of excitement and could barely manage the main course and desserts. Nice atmosphere, we stayed for a good 2 hours and nobody rushed us.
My cousin and I sat rooftop and had a great meal. The food was delish, except the cheese plate that we ordered for dessert. Not to impressed. Service was great, ambiance even better when we went by the bar on our way out.
I chose XIX as a final destination for a scavenger hunt I planned for my husband as part of our 1st wedding Anniversary. XIX was absolutely perfect for the occassion for several reasons. First, the number 19 is our number which represents the date of our very first date (May 19th), secondly, the atmosphere was perfect. XIX was very accomodation with moving our reservation up from 9:00pm to 8:15 as my husband completed the scavenger hunt sooner than expected and arrived early to the restaurant. We were even given outside seating even though we arrived earlier than our scheduled reservation time. The drinks and food were delicious. we absolutely enjoyed our FIRST Anniversary and will definitely patronize them again. Also, we stayed overnight at the Bellevue which included breakfast for 2 also at XIX. Breakfast also receives 2 thumbs up.
Waiter was awkwardly staring at our table and lingering around to start too many conversations with us.
My wife and I had the pleasure of dining here on a recent trip to Philly. We had a wonderful time on the whole. Everything from the food, views and ambience to Rasheed's service was impeccable. Strongly recommend trying this out!
The food and the view were very impressive! The scallops were exceptional and our server paired them well with a great wine recommendation. I also enjoyed the grilled lobster and veal. Watching the sun set over the City of Philadelphia is something that just can't be missed. Our table was situated next to the floor to ceiling window. Although it was too warm to dine on the balcony, the wait staff welcomed us to view the city from the balcony after our meal. I look forward to dining here again.
Delicious gourmet quality food served in an opulent venue by a dedicated and patient staff. Our group of nine felt privileged to be there. When you walk through the lobby of the Bellevue, down the opulent halls and finally into that grand dining space on the top floor, you really feel transported into a more enchanting time in which you are the star! Top notch all around. The 3 course lunch is an excellent deal at $22....cheeses, meats, salads and desserts provided on a buffet and a served entree from a list of five or six....especially good for a large group.
This restaurant provided a fine dining experience in an historic setting with a great view of the city. The decor was not overdone and therefore added to the experience. The scallop and salmon entrees were delicious, as was the mussels appetizer. The martinis were prepared to perfection, as well. Our server was very knowledgeable and at ease. We were quite satisfied with the whole experience.
We had a great dinner with wonderful service from Rashid. He was very attentive and very friendly. We are going to have our wedding here. It is so beautiful and the service is great.
The setting of XIX on the 19th floor of the Bellevue is beautiful, especially the outer circular room with small tables ringing windows that view aspects of the city. It is a place that is not plagued by the din of loud music and shouted conversations and allows you to actually talk to your companions. The service is friendly, informed, and attentive. The $22 three course lunch is a great deal: Salad and dessert buffets, and selected cooked-to-order entrees in nice, lunch-sized portions. The bar is sleek and dark and gets popular with the business crowd at the end of the afternoon. I've also been in the outer room later in the night for drinks or dessert and it is quite romantic; a good place for a getting-to-know-you date. I think because it is a hotel restaurant, local Philadelphians are not as aware of what lovely spot this is and should give it a try. When I take my friends, here, they are amazed that they haven't known about it before.
Went for a 30th birthday dinner with my girlfriend based upon a friend's recommendation. My friend was spot on and helped make our night memorable by providing insight into this gem. The staff was wonderful and the food was excellent. Couldn't ask for more.
The food was amazing and the portions were not over bearing. Our server was great; very friendly, social, knew how to describe wines and menu options without sounding like a salesmen. He even got me a new drink for free when the cocktail I had gotten was just not to my taste. My only complaint is that I had chosen to go to Nineteen because of the 19th floor balconies it showed on its website, and they would not let us go out on the balcony. I was celebrating my 1 year anniversary and thought it would be an awesome place for a picture. Other than that my girlfriend and I had a wonderful night there. I recommend it to anyone looking for a nice night.
I ordered the trout and it was LOADED with butter. It was like eating fish at a Friday's or Applebees. I was not impressed at all with the food. The service was okay, the drinks were good, the ambiance was great! The price was too high though for the quality of the food, so I give this restaurant 3 stars.
Great dining experience with excellent service. Great view of the lights of Philadelphia, and made for a romantic evening for our 5th wedding anniversary. Elena took wonderful care of us along with her associates.
