Uninspired menu for such a beautiful dining space. The food was mediocre at best. The duck breast entree was chewy. Service was slow. Philadelphia has much better dining options to offer- this place is a tourist trap. Overall, overpriced.

We had the3 course brunch special. For the money, it's a great location, and the appetizers and desserts are very good. It's somewhat let down by the main courses, which are rather average.

Loved it...very pretty, food was solid, and lots of choices. Favorite part... the pearl chandelier, the salad, and mousse. My boyfriend wants to have the reception there.

Very disappointing experience for what I had hoped would have been a very special breakfast with my family. Waited almost a half an hour for our eggs, our food was cold, they forgot my gluten-free toast and brought it when I was almost finished eating, lemon cream was left off of my daughters pancakes. I was expecting us to be eating in the main dining room, but that might’ve been my fault not to realize it was in the other room. Also wished we had had a nice table with a view, but they were not available when we got up there. That is not necessarily a strike against them, but just added to the overall experience. Had been looking forward to that breakfast for weeks as the perfect start to our day seeing the Nutcracker, but left feeling very disappointed. If you are going to charge that much money for eggs you need to make sure it is worth it. The waitress was very apologetic and nice.

We had a holiday lunch and it was ok. The food was good, but the service was extremely slow and we were one of the last seatings so the kitchen shouldn’t have been too busy. The seating for a group larger than 4 is awkward and our group of 8 couldn’t really talk to each other as a group. The acoustics were weird in the room, so we heard other people’s conversations like they were sitting next to us. Other than the food, nothing would bring me back, and there are a lot of really great places to eat in other parts of the city.

Excellent high-end dining experience. Beautiful rooftop location.

Call direct for reservations. DO NOT use Open Table.
Lots of tables available; However Open Table stated NO Availability within 2 hours of desired time (which was 6:30) on two successive dates.

Beautifully appointed rooftop restaurant inside the Bellevue Hotel in Downtown Philadelphia.
Dined here recently fr lunch with my work group. They have a pre fixe menu called a Cafe Lunch Table. Its a three course meal which starts with a self serve salad bar, a second course where you choose from a selection of beef, pasta, duck or fish entrees and then topped off by a vast assortment of deliciously, decadent dessert dishes. I'd highly recommend the Cafe Lunch Table selection by the way...
Service was very good and our waitress was very attentive. Our maitre d was beyond excellent. She made sure that we had a superior dining experience and she even suggested that we try a special strawberry spread that was sublime to say the least. Suffice it to say that we had a very good lunch dining experience.

My mom and I love the cafe lunch menu - for the variety and the price. We come downtown to see the Broadway productions and Nineteen is now our preferred pre-show dining spot. Keep up the great work!

The food was great and the service was very good.

However, I was surprised the dining room had no holiday decorations at all and considering this was 11 days before Christmas, I was disappointed. In addition, when we sat at 5:30 we told the waiter we needed to leave by 6:45 for a show. We ordered at 5:40 and did not get our entrée until almost 6:25. I was disappointed that we had no time to enjoy the meal, get a cup of coffee or even ask about the dessert menu. We were so worried about being late for the show, we asked for our check when we finally got our meal. (Which was lukewarm at best.)

The food was very good, but eating the meal in 10 minutes was not my idea of a relaxing dinner before as show. Very quiet with only 3 tables occupied but a large party in one of the side rooms.

I was a little disappointed. The staff could have been more enthusiastic. The menu choices could have offered more dishes. There was no one at the front desk/doorway of the restaurant when we arrived. The raw clams were as tiny as nickels for $2.00 each. When we were leaving, we were waiting at the doorway for our coats and no one was there, plus other staff saw us there standing for a while and none of them offered to help. I had to go look for the coat person. When I made the reservation online I told the it was for a birthday and that I wanted a desert for the birthday person because I saw on the website that they gave a cupcake with a candle. The food was ok, portions a little small for the over priced items. I chose this place because I went to a Christmas party a few years ago and it was very nice. This time there was a downgraded difference, it was dull. I will not be going here again. I frequent various Philadelphia restaurants so I know about good service, good food and ambiance. This was dull!

My family and I enjoyed an excellent Sunday brunch at Nineteen. The food was delicious with an options to try the brunch buffet or order from a separate brunch menu. The buffet had a nice selection of items being constantly checked on and replenished. The brunch menu had a variety of great options. I would definitely recommend trying the apple dumplings. Also, the view of the city is beautiful, and the overall ambiance is comfortable while maintaining a luxorious and sophisticated feel.

I was irritated because they didn't respect reservation times. We were asked to wait an inordinate amount of time although there were empty tables. Also our request for ingredient information was not adequately addressed- a vegetarian was served a dish prepared with venison. This obviously was disturbing.

They place was really nice great location in downtown Philly. Great place for nice pictures. Valet parking wasn't at the front of the building has to go inside to as about valet parking. Greeter wasn't as post. The waiters were a bit rude and didn't seem to know much about the menu. Also I didn't like that you had to wait to be seated when all your guests arrive.

I made a reservation for my birthday and used their private dining room. The room was very nice and intimate with the option to close the doors and play music from your phone so I was very pleased with that part of my night. However, I was disappointed with the service. Not only was I reminded once about the minimum spend of $500 but three times in 10 minutes as if they thought the people I was with weren’t able to afford it. It was 8 of us so we spent more than double the minimum. The waiter was not very friendly. I don’t know if he was having a bad day or not but I did not feel very special on my special day. My guests were rushed to order off of the whole menu. Around 10:08 we started to order and he claimed that he would need our whole order now instead of just appetizers because the kitchen was about to close. I asked what time the kitchen closes and he said 11. Based off of my experience at other restaurants I’ve dined in we had more than enough time to order food prior to 11, at least a quarter of. So that really bothered me The he wouldn’t put our food order in unless he had the whole app and entree ordered. Food was not hot except the crab macaroni that I ordered. I was also surprised that they were aware of my birthday and I didn’t even get a cute little dessert. I have been to many Steven Starr restaurants whether an anniversary or birthday and they did something for me. The reservation I made had the note of it being my birthday and I was offered nothing. I decided well I would pay for a dessert myself so I asked did they have like a Browne with ice cream and a candle to make it special for me. He said no and recommended something different like an apple cake because they have nothing like a brownie but we do have candles. I just said never mind and was ready to go. Okay food. Mediocre service especially how much we’re paying. Bad customer experience. Will never have a bday dinner again here.

Although the food and ambiance were good, the service was very lacking. We were not greeted upon entering the restaurant having to wait about 10 minutes before someone came to the front desk. Also had to wait awhile for the waitress to come to the table to offer beverages and then again to take our order.

We had not been a to the Bellevue in a long time. In the past I remembered excellent food, good service and a lot of customers with an animated ambience.

Frankly, I was so surprised to find what I did: the carpeting had not even been vacuumed, some of the stainless flatware was dirty, and while the sheer curtains are supposed to have the crushed look, the general impression they leave is unkempt and even dirty.

While the food on the buffet was very good, the presentation was a shock (and presentation is half the battle when it comes to serving food!): on the dessert side, the whipped cream was served in a cast iron casserole and the fresh berries were literally hidden in an oval Le Creuset cooking pot with burn stains on the sides. I really don't understand what the intended effect was, but it was really a turn off and a bizarre surprise. Leave those casseroles and kettles in the kitchen. They have no place on a buffet table!

Something needs to be done in a dining room with such charm and a gorgeous view.

I enjoyed the professionalism and the ambience and the view. The only issue was our main entree, the side of vegetable was over cooked and salty, and my monkfish dish was too salty and the potatoes were not done (it was hard, almost raw.) Wine list is great, appetizers and desert were on point. Waiter(Rasheed?) was phenomenal!
