Our entree's were on the cold side, other than that everything was great.
The ambiance was great and the food was very good. My waiter was very good as well. The only thing that took me aback a little: I was here for my fiance's birthday. I called and asked if anything would be done, and I was told they could do dessert. I thought it would've been on the house, but it wasn't. I brought it up to the waiter, and he told me they didn't do that. So just a miscommunication, but it didn't ruin the night.
I remember it being more spectacular. The room is tired, used to be grand, still is but needs to be refreshed. We had a gift card that a friend gave us and they told us at the end of the meal that they were hacked and our card would not be honored. I convinced a not very experienced manager that it was Hyatt’s problem, not ours. Finally they let us leave. Not a great experience. And don’t purchase gift cards for anyone from the Hyatt.
Was there for my granddaughter's bday (it's her favorite place) and everyone went out of their way to make it a lovely time. Special shout out to Luba who could not have been more helpful with the children's picky-food issues.
Always a wonderful spot for breakfast and lunch!
Great food and great atmosphere. Excellent service.
My favorite lunch spot-especially appreciate distance between tables which helps with privacy in conversation. Food always excellent-service superb.
The ambiance, the setting, and the service were all outstanding (special compliments to Luba)--it was a wonderful way to celebrate my husband's birthday!
The dining room was very hot, (approx 82-84 degrees F). We advised the hostess, but she said it wasn't hot. The view and ambiance of the room was terrific. The menu was very limited in choices. If you don't like exotic foods, you won't like it there. The waiter was fantastic in every respect. We will however, be unlikely that we will return.
The buffet was pretty weak but the entrees were delicious. I just wish there were more people. It's a great location and setup, but a little strange to be one of two parties dining.
I simply love this place. The staff and food are great!
Our server Luda was friendly, attentive and a pleasure! Thanks!
We had a reservation at 11:30, opening time. Unfortunatly the dining room wasn't ready and the waiters were still sweeping the floor (around our table after our arrival). Unpleasant...
The brunch buffet was really good. Do not order your Main Course to rapidly to make sure you enjoy the buffet appetizer.
There was no ambiance music and before the room got full of guests it was a little uncomfortable...
Nice views indeed.
The staff were welcoming and polite - it was my mothers 80th birthday and a pre-show dinner. They not only wished her happy birthday and added a candle to her dessert - she was thrilled with the extra attention. We ate early and the restaurant was practically empty - which we didn't mind at all!
A pleasant experience and the food was divine.
XIX provides the best Mother’s Day brunch in Philadelphia. The selection of food is incredible.
Not well organized Mother’s Day buffet. Food was average at best. Who serves cream for coffee in plastic containers?
Tried to take our mom for a nice Mothers Day Brunch and service was extremely slow (the restaurant was only half way full). We waited over 45 minutes for our order and the food wasn't almost cold and bland. Some dishes weren't even cooked properly.
Food was mediocre, service was good overall it’s was alright i wasn’t that impressed
This was an impressive room to enjoy a meal. Food was good (although the lamb tasted a bit like liver). The elevators were extremely slow and took a chunk off our eating time which was disappointing. The staff was very nice. The menu felt autumnal (root veg, etc) rather than spring like for a meal in May.
I wanted to treat my boyfriend to a special night out and this was definitely worth it. The staff was very observant and refilled drinks, took orders, and asked how everything was at appropriate times. It was a really lovely experience for a special night and a special treat for a special person!
I dine here several times a year and it is one of my favorite restaurants. Unfortunately they were short of staff and the service was poor yesterday. Very disappointing!
We enjoyed the prix fixe 3-course lunch. Excellent salads, fish, and little desserts. I's a great place to relax and have a conversation. Bright, spacious, and airy. I will return and recommend it to friends.
We were seated, our order was taken. We ordered the buffet luncheon. Which meant we got up for salads and served ourselves. Had to ask for rolls (to go with the cheeses). The rolls were stale. The duck entree (two small pieces) was very dry, very little sauce and the amount of beets and other vegetables was a joke. My friend ordered steak which was marginally better, it was more tender. She had a nice salad on her plate. I had to ask that our main plates be removed, (no wait staff to be found)so we could start our dessert. That was the freshest part of the meal. Lots of small choices of rice pudding, strawberry shortcake, chocolate mousse, cookies, biscotti and fresh berries and cream.
Will I return? NO! Not a chance!
Nous avons bien mangé mais la vue sur Philadelphie n'était pas ce a quoi je m'attendais.
The portions were so much more than I had anticipated, I could actually take home enough for another meal!
Great time and staff was very attentive to our time constraints. Food was very good and the ingredients very, very fresh. A very enjoyable meal. Love the dining room.
Excellent food, friendly service, and--best of all--nice and quiet!
Drinks were creative as was the halibut entree. Great spot
XIX is an oasis in the middle of Center City hustle and bustle. I felt like I was on vacation for a couple of hours! The food was wonderful and the service was outstanding. Our server was knowledgeable, pleasant, attentive with being overbearing. I could have stayed there all afternoon.
Nobody greeted us upon arrival even though we had reservations. When we asked the bar receptionist, she indicated that the hostess was away and would return shortly. We waited in the hallway. When shown to our table, our server did not solicit a cocktail order but seemed eager to press the menu at once. We asked for drinks, which came in due time. We asked for leisurely pace for service, which we got. However, the service was sloppy at best and not what I would expect from a first class establishment. The chicken a la king was overly complicated and we could not taste the chanterelle mushrooms in the dish although they were abundant.
Have visited XIX Nineteen in multiple occasions. Our last visit was disappointing. Previously all visits were very good. Food was mediocre--Shrimp cocktail where the shrimp bent over when held--not firm and fresh. 4 of us had dinner--all agreed it was very average. All had previously eaten at XIX and previously had been pleased. Secretly, I thought the food was very disappointing. The service was excellent and our waiter performed impeccably. Entire wait staff was very good. Our table was ready on time and the 5:30 P.M. seating was more desirable, than the previous earliest 6:00 P.M. seating, in accommodating Theater Goers. The dining room is still very nice. Problem was the quality of the food--and overcooking or undercooking. Hot things were served hot and cold things were served cold. Underwhelmed and many other restaurants to choose from--Used to love XIX--Sad
Great experience. Great service. Great meal. Highly recommend!
My friends and I enjoy the Cafe lunch (3 courses -- 1st and 3rd are buffet). The place has a lovely, pleasant ambiance - light, airy, quiet, calm. Good for conversation and leisurely dining. I have been there many times and will return and recommend it to others.
Monk fish was very tough - over cooked- and was Luke warm. Stuffed trout was not very good
It was a great experience an the view was amazing
Nice evening. Staff was cordial and the view is great.
Small glass of wine, chicken rillettes not such a good dish. Menu not that interesting.
Attentive wait staff, good breakfast buffet
XIX Nineteen didn’t disappoint great food and service. Amazing place to celebrate a special occasion.
Atmosphere was amazing. Beautiful view of the city. Food was OK. Nothing to get excited about...especially for the cost. Impressed with the where but not exactly the what.
