It was a great experience, the service was great and my dish was delicious .
Beautiful view of south broad street. I had a great girls night and will dine again.
We were sitting right next to the window and had the best night view of philly. Fantastic dining experience!
We love brunch here. The food is always incredible. They have something for everybody but my favorite is the steak which is always cooked perfectly and tastes amazing. The service is excellent and so is the ambience. It’s one of my favorites In Philadelphia.
Lunch today was delicious.
Had the crab sandwich, no filler, real crab & juicy
My guest had the crab salad & shrimp .. she raved.
Shrimp made perfect not overcooked like most places have a habit of doing
We shared sorbet ...blood orange, peach & strawberry..perfect for the hottest day this year.
Heard the restaurant is getting a face lift, so by cooler weather we'll be back for another happy meal.
Sent many visitors here that stop by the Kimmel Center when they want a good meal close by, not one ever complained.....that's a good sign
We had a fabulous experience at XIX! The hostess was amazing- very kind, polite and went above and beyond when taking our picture. Ened was very knowledgeable and helpful with navigating the menu. Overall, our entire experience and everything about the dinner was lovely!
Beautiful location, great views , excellent service, top quality ingredients in well-prepared dishes. I always recommend it. However, I did not realize that on Saturdays, they have added a raw bar to the cafe lunch, which makes it $10 more expensive. It is still a nice luncheon in a fabulous place, but if you don't eat seafood, it is a better deal to come for the fixed price lunch on a different day.
The food here is definitely worthy of 3 Stars on Michelin!!!
Absolutely the best baked oysters I’ve even eaten!!! Incomparable!!
And the crab salads are equally good and well plated.
Don’t know why it was so quiet when I lunched there the other day; I don’t mind as long as I can return again soon.
Be aware these dishes will only remain on the lunch menu Monday-Friday until mid September.
Go and enjoy!!!
we were there on a rainy day so could not really appreciate the city views but the indoor decor was lovely and especially loved the pearl string chandelier hanging from the ceiling; staff were all friendly and helpful; brunch buffet menu had good variety; overall had a nice milestone birthday celebration!!
This was our second time at Sunday brunch. We enjoyed our first brunch and came back a second time. This time we were celebrating the anniversary of our parents. We had a good experience again and were impressed that the waitress brought our parents a special dessert to help us celebrate their anniversary.
This restaurant is very beautiful inside. Great for special occasion, romantic dinner.
The service was amazing, but the food was subpar for the amount that you pay. You’re practically paying for the view because it’s definitely not the food.
Overall a great dining experience. I found this option after doing a quick search on Yelp and Google. I'm a fan of historic places (especially such a historic place as the Bellevue) so being able to eat dinner in such a beautiful location was a real treat.
A couple of high points: the stuffed trout was delicious. My wife and I shared the main dish with two sides and had plenty of food. The view and building itself is gorgeous. Our waiter was great, personable and attentive. I forgot his name, sorry.
The parts we thought could be better: the cocktails were pretty plain. My Old Fashioned was pretty standard fare, not much flair in presentation or preparation (we had a pre-dinner cocktail at a local bar that really set the 'bar' high here). Another pet peeve, the music was bland (really, really smooth jazz, background music). I'm not a music snob but would think a deeper dig into the era this building was built and a nod to Philadelphia history could stimulate some conversation over dinner (what famous musicians stayed here, who played here?). If nothing else a refresh of the music selection would go a long way. Live music would be amazing, even if played in the lounge area. Finally, the decor, what you have here is a beautiful domed room that simply could not be reproduced anywhere else, but the furniture was dull and commercial. Please, when the renovations happen (I hear soon), invest in some period-correct furnishings, with modern twists (new fabric on old chairs), bring in some traditional elements to the space. That's what people want to experience when they go to a place like this! You can have an elegant decor without it being stuffy these days. Please avoid the standard, worn out modern furnishings and double down on the character and elegance of the space!
Kind staff and amazing food!
Had another fantastic meal here. Ever since they changed the chef, the food has been dynamite. The best tuna tartar I've ever had. The chicken a la king was amazing as well. The view is also amazing atop of The Bellevue Hotel. Shango provided exceptional service!
Superb shellfish and brunch delights. Try the crab cake benedict. Superb service by Luba & Leslie.
What a horrible experience!! We went to celebrate two Birthday’s with 12 family members (some of which were from out of town). We were seated in a private room, which was a downside because of how much I loved the elegance of the main dining room. So on top of not getting that, the service we received was poor. The wait staff were no where to be found to see if we needed anything else after our meals were delivered. And the meals - subpar!! We have been to this restaurant several times, many years ago, and loved it. However, it is nothing like it used to be. My meal ( Crab cake Benedict) was so salty, I couldn’t eat it, nor could the other family members who ordered it. The eggs were over cooked, an all around horrible meal. We had our tickets “validated” only to discover we still had to pay for parking ( and there were 4 cars involved). Such a disappointment, I regret to say we will never go back!
Disappointed. Very outdated. Went for brunch on Saturday. Had steak and eggs. The steak was diner quality. It's on the 19th floor and the elevators took forever. Will not return.
Everything was wonderful, except I did request a few things in my notes and none of it was done. Such as a candle with desert for my boyfriends birthday and the note of pre ordering desserts
I was disappointed they did not have the usual lunch buffet. My barramundi fish was delicious but salads and dessert were mediocre. The buffet usually has a choice of good salads and excellent tiny desserts. So I wouldn't recommend this place until the buffet returns in October.
Had breakfast and the buffet left a little to be desired. Felt like I was in someone's home for brunch not up to the standard of a hotel. Just truly wasn't impressed. Next time will run across the street to Wawa and get a bagel!
It was my first time here, but I was impressed as soon as I stepped off the elevator. The scenery is incredible; amazing wine selection with delicious food. I could tell the chef put his heart into the production. I will absolutely be back here again and recommend this as a great place to have a date night out.
Our waitress was Luba and the manager Lesley made our day amazing. Thank you.
Awesome location, great looking place, good service - but very average food, not nearly worth what they charge for it. I had the Duck Breast, which was tough and over cooked. My wife had fish that was tough on the outside and raw in the middle. Just ... disappointed in the food quality for the price we paid.
My third trip here. Brought my mother in law for a special meal but was disappointed. The other two visits were 5 stars. The salad and dessert buffet are the big attractions and this wasn’t available today. Server said in summer they have fewer clients and don’t want to waste food, which I get. However the food we ordered was only fair. Service slow considering only 3 other tables occupied. French fries were cold. We returned them. Club sandwich had deli turkey. For $18 I expected real turkey. In all lunch was $81 + tip which is a lot for 2 sandwiches, Salad, baked oyster appetizer and 3 iced teas. A much better value when buffet is available.
A quiet evening with only a few tables occupied. Food was quite good and service was superior. Our waiter was knowledgable and attentive. Window table on the 19th floor provided for overview of the city. Ambiance was beautiful and elegant. Prices were fair and appropriate for high quality dinner. Indoor parking contiguous to restaurant was most convenient. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for romantic or business dinner.
It’s always a great experience when we visit Nineteen. Beautiful scenery and such a pleasant vibe. Not to mention the food is very good. Looking forward to visiting again
Great views from balcony seating. Must try the chicken ala King, as it originates here.
Excellent dinner I’m a beautiful dinning room and spectacular views of the city. Wonderful evening.
My husband and I dine here 1-2 times/year for lunch as we love their prix fixe lunch. We think it's an excellent value. The prixe fixe meal has always included a salad/charcuterie/soup/buffet; a choice of 5 entrees; a beverage; and a dessert buffet. Because of the slower pace of summer, they eliminated the buffet portions and instead we had a choice of soup or salad, and for dessert there was only one option. It was a good meal, but not as great as when they have the buffets. We're hoping that in the fall that the buffets will return.
Not very crowded at all, perfect for business breakfast
8th Wedding Anniversary
The brunch menu is good, but the desserts were not as wonderful as I remembered from previous occasions. The great thing is it is quiet - no need to shout at our table companions.
Absolutely a spectacular experience. The service (Rasheed) was one of the best we’ve ever experienced. We had our wedding there and received the same level detail during our dining experience. Cocktails were amazing, as were our entrees. We highly recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to return!
I was quite disappointed. I made these reservations for a team outing. We based our restaurant selection on the menu. When we arrived, the lunch special was not offered, yet it still remained on their website. I was told that a should have received a call informing me of the change. I saved the message in which that information was not given, just a reservation confirmation. The second thing which was troublesome was the time in which we needed to wait for our food order. A wedding was taking place (7/2, 12:30). I guess we were secondary in the kitchen. Overall, I was sadly disappointed as I really wanted to celebrate my team for a year well done. I do not recommend for those reasons.
I love the relaxed feel of this place, very cozy and comfortable. I definitely would return. The mac & cheese was amazing, I ordered a second pan. Service was very good and friendly.
Absolutely beautiful restaurant with excellent, attentive service and outstanding food. We loved it, and will be back!
Got breakfast here while on a mini vacation. I was very pleased. Very nice views and room was classically elegant. Food was good as well and well presented.
There were little kids running around almost the whole tine we were there. They were asked a numbrr of times to stop
My granddaughter and I enjoyed a fantastic lunch before the play today. The restaurant was a beautiful setting. The lunch was wonderful. Service very high quality. I will definitely be returning!
