Never have dined in such a spectacular setting! Dinning room is exquisite.
Server and service was the best. Food has a familiar ring; yet the chef’s added twist makes everything far from the ordinary.
Food and setting was great. Gives a great view of the city. Our server was a little off on timing and reading the situation at the table, interrupted while making a toast, otherwise it was a great experience.
For our 25th Wedding Anniversary we decided to dine at XIX Nineteen. The meal was spectacular. Our waiter, Ened, took extra special good care of us. He even took our photo on the balcony.
XIX is one of my favorite places to go to for dinner, events, birthdays and happy hour. I enjoy the ambiance, the nice pours and the excellent service. Over time though I have noticed that my favorite thing to order the seafood tasting has decreased in amount and size. Overall with the view of the city, the bar and seating I recommend this place first to all my friends.
The mushroom risotto and the pan-seared scallops were absolutely delicious! Our waiter was fantastic and super friendly. Can’t wait to dine here again!
It was just a view. Service was great. Food was not at all great.
It was an amazing experience, it was my husband's birthday and he was so pleased and happy. We loved everything.
This was my second time at this restaurant. The ambiance was what I remembered most from my last visit. This visit I wasn’t impressed. The menu selection is very small with little to choose from in all 3 courses. The food wasn’t good at all for the prices. I had salmon and mash. The mash seriously tasted like box potatoes that I couldn’t stomach. I then requested regular potatoes and that’s served with duck chunks, which my waiter didn’t mention and just brought out as an alternative. Sorry, I don’t eat duck! Ordered a salad and it looked thrown together and the dressing tasted like mayo. I was offered a cesar salad instead. I could go on and on why I would ONLY visit this restaurant again for the ambiance, definitely not the food! Service was ok but could have been better.
Lovely, quiet, fresh and complete Amercan and Continental breakfast buffets.
The food was excellent. However, the service was non existent. The waiter disappeared for about 40 min so the manager cleared some of our plates at one point and we were never even given a chance to order a second drink.
Loved the ambience and food!!
Called to see if I could push my reservation back and was told they were slammed for the night. Got there at 7, my reservation time and by the time we left, 9pm, their had only been 4 table turns, 2 2 tops, a 4 top and a 1 top, in the restaurant. We were a party of 6 and ordered 4 glasses of wine, 3 Pinot noir and 1 cab, the waiter suggested we could save money by getting a bottle. After a guest switched her wine preference so we could get a bottle, the receipt proved the bottle was $15 more expensive than each of us getting our own glass of wine. Our meals ranged between the steak, duck, salmon and seasonal pasta. The pasta was very good, everything else was underwhelming for the amount they charge. I also expected the ambiance to have more of a view especially with the pictures shown on the website, their are two balcony's to look out on and when we asked to take a picture on the one balcony we were told it wasnt open. The hostest was incredibly rude. Did not greet us when we walked in and when we asked her to take a picture for us she said "okay" and when we turned around she was gone. I had only heard wonderful things about this restaurant and was utterly disappointed. I will not be going back with family, friends or to take clients.
Our waiter Ened was professional, pleasant and attentive. We both had the Three Course Menu and were able to select anything on the menu. Enjoyed the wine and cocktails. Great location, the bar was active and the restaurant was quiet as we had an early dinner. Music was appropriate and not overpowering.
Great customer service!
Upon arriving after I made a reservation through Open Table and then confirmed my reservation on the phone I was informed that the weekend brunch starts at 11:30 and we were forced to have just the informal breakfast since my reservation was at 10. NO WHERE on the website is the time distinction listed and since this was Father’s Day, I couldn’t get my reservation changed as they were all booked. The hostess was in no way apologetic to our ruined brunch. The food for the breakfast was mildly acceptable although lukewarm to cold. My family and I were expecting a formal Father’s day brunch and were forced to basically have a continental breakfast. Extremely disappointed at the lack of communication. In future, when seeking dining in the Center City area we will be taking our business elsewhere.
Great lunch. The burger was perfectly prepared, club sandwich was unique, and the side salads on the buffet were all delicious
Our server, Luba, was amazing! We also loved that we could do the buffet and get an entree. It was all delicious.
It was a beautiful setting but there could have been more food choices. The waiter, however, was fantastic! He was patient even though we had several non-native english speakers in our group.
Empty setting made for a boring brunch. Lots of empty tables. The view is only great on one side of the floor— which is not where you get seated for brunch. On the positive side, the price fixe at $45 is a good deal considering the nice selection of raw bar and charcuterie items in the buffet first course. Entree is ordered off the menu. Desserts are pretty little bites served buffet style in the wine room. Server was very friendly and attentive. I would probably find other places to try next time for brunch.
Outstanding service, good food, brunch was nicely paced
Wonderful service. The meals and drinks were delicious and well presented. Gorgeous decor
Great food, wonderful setting. A little tough to find if you come in on the wrong elevators. Had a business meal and had no trouble talking or hearing.
It took far too long between courses. We got there at 7 pm and our drinks and appetizers came out relatively early. But we didn’t get our entrées until 8:30. Good food, nice people, beautiful setting. But, wow, they need to improve the pacing.
The balcony provided an intimate environment and wonderful view. Both of our servers were amiable, had excellent timing, and provided great suggestions. The Bellevue hotel delivers a luxury dining experience. Thank you for a special evening!
Our waiter was very attentive, nice and friendly, and proficient.
The outdoor seating is excellent. Go for drinks and perhaps a cheese plate but otherwise the main course food was mediocre.
Great food and Service. I will defiantly be going back for my next fancy celebration.
Food wasn’t worth it.
My wife and I went here to celebrate our wedding earlier in the day. It’s such an amazing place; great food, people and atmosphere. We highly recommend it!
Graduation lunch. Luna was very attentive!
Disappointing. We were so excited to celebrate a 40th birthday at 19. It was our 1st visit. Views were amazing and the dining room is beautiful. However we had a very noisy table next to us, service was lacking, food was good but pricey and nothing was done to acknowledge my boyfriend's 40th birthday. No dessert, no song.
I always love coming to XIX at the Bellevue. It's always an amazing dining experience with high-quality food at a great deal. This time I was celebrating my wedding anniversary with my husband. And they gave us a complimentary dessert with candles and wished us a happy anniversary several times. The lunch buffet is superb. I am never disappointed.
Party of 10 for a graduation. We were notified that the main dining room was booked for a wedding so we would be in a similar, but "secondary" dining room which was no problem. Food was great. Service was lacking. Ordered two bottles of wine and we only noticed they were half poured when we got up to leave. Waiter totally missed the mark on the wine and didn't seem like he was used to his job. It made the special occasion a little less special.
I Planned a surprise birthday dinner that turned out to be the best ! Ambience was amazing & the 3 course meal was absolutely the best choice of the menu, i had the duck and also tried the brisket along with the Scollops 🤤I truly recommend it his place for anything from business meetings to a Special night out on the town no matter if your a Millennial or baby boomer 😂
I love this venue. It is the best of traditional Philadelphia.
The website states $31 -$50, received the bill and it was $75
We were there for Mother’s Day brunch. The food at the buffets was good, though they didn’t shuck, only opened, the clams & oysters. They wisely used several rooms to prevent lines and crowding. The service was not smooth and everyone seemed to be rushing around in a state of low/grade anxiety, though everyone was polite. Dirty dishes were allowed to pile up which affected the ambience in an otherwise attractive room. I am giving them a pass on a lot of this, though, because Mother’s Day is tough. And all that said, we had a nice time and would return.
Not worth the $75 per person.
Always fabulous ! Consistent in every way. Food ambience and service.
