The food was not as good as we remembered from previous visits. The Charcuterie was miserly. (We ate at Parc the next night and their offering was much better.) The cheese was served cold not at room temperature. Our duck breast was very chewey although tasty. We needed steak knives to cut it. Service was very good.
Always a lovely experience and especially good for groups.
I got ready for my wedding at the Bellevue so this place is near and dear to my heart. The restaurant was the perfect backdrop for pre wedding photos and is an amazing place to dress up and celebrate the occasion years later.
I booked this beautiful restaurant for my girlfriend's birthday dinner. The dining room was elegant and the meal and service were excellent. All of our entrees were great and the meat and cheese board was delicious. The wine selection perfect too. We had a view of Liberty Place from our table. My only complaint was that the dining room was a little chilly.
We've enjoyed many evenings at this restaurant and NEVER been disappointed. We requested a window table for 4 and were taken to one immediately upon arrival. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful in selection of drinks and dinner as well as deserts. I would happily recommend XIX to anyone looking for a special night out for dinner. we often go here before a
Walnut St theater show or Academy Of Music show.
Disappointing food. Good service. Place was empty.
The brunch is nice however a little pricey. My eggs were served a little cold and they fixed it asap.
My experience was wonderful! Service, food and ambiance was excellent!
The service was really extraordinary: made a birthday meal truly memorable. Great view and, if you’re there on a weekend, you’re pretty much guaranteed wedding party site-seeing.
The dining room is spectacular. Service was a little slow but this may have been due to restaurant week. We did not get to experience the full menu as a result.
Very pretty. Great service and ambiance. High end Dining
Went for my birthday and I left very pleased. I was disappointed that they only had the restaurant week menu available (I really wanted to order something off the regular menu, but whatever). I ended up getting the beef short ribs and let’s just say I WAS THOROUGHLY IMPRESSED! Great entrees, great service, and amazing ambiance!
Really beautiful atmosphere and was very impressed with the food as well.
We went for Restaurant Week lunch on Wednesday. For $20, they served a lot of food - soup, salads, charcuterie plus choice of two main courses and generous selection of pastries. My wife liked the Branzino.
Service was generally good. Special thanks to James Miller and Achaia for being so nice.
Food wasn’t tasteful and service was lazy and not inviting
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL view. Food was just ok
The food was below average, my disk was warm, not hot. The service was okey but we waited a long time for the check.
Amazing view & interior. would definitely go again.
My husband took me here for my birthday. Second time dining here for dinner and it was amazing. The food is seriously good and so are the drinks!
It was restaurant week so staff was busy. The waiter was forgetful of bread offered and there was no checking on us after serving items. Location was decent with a view from above about equal to Billy Penn statue. Appetizer and desserts were delicious, entree good. Overall value was very good.
The service was fantastic, the food was very mediocre. I’m not sure if it was because of the restaurant week, but food was bland, entree barely warm, dessert too sweet. I have also marked the reservation as special occasion for a birthday, but did not get the requested seating nor any other acknowledgement of the occasion.
Food was good, restaurant week prices were great for the value of the regular dishes. Server was more than happy to switch a plate when the first one was not to our liking (flavor-wise, although it was still good). Birthday accommodations were made and the view of the city was beautiful.
XIX provides a calming, elegant dining experience with superb service and exquisite attention to detail
It was great going back there.
The brunch is great. The food is really good, with astonishing desserts. The service is polite, friendly and very efficient. Will return.
The food was delicious, service top notch and overall experience was fantastic. The buffet selection was amazing, plenty of tasty salads, cheeses, seafood, breads and deserts... and that was before the entree. Bring s big appetite. .. you”ll need it. Thumbs up to XIX this definitely is a must do brunch destination.
Lovely in every respect. Elegant, tasteful decor and tasty food, with professional unobtrusive service. You think of the place for its views, but it’s a superb restaurant even if it were in a basement. Quiet and spacious, good for romance or business both. Very highly recommended.
Lunch buffet had many interesting flavors including soups, salads and desserts.
My first and last time eating at XIX. We went during Resaurant Week, were seated near the elevator and only given the Restaurant Week and wine menus. We expected to receive a regular menu too. I ordered the sea bass entree and cheesecake for dessert. Every course wss unimpressive. I expected to at least enjoy dessert, but it just did not taste good. We were so disappointed.
Great food and the price was solid for the experience and the food we received. Would definitely go back
Everyone raved about their food. A wonderful experience. The 4 of us have been out to lunch during restaurant week quite a few times and this one ranked at the top of the list.
I would recommend XIX Nineteen as the food was delicious; But I did not enjoy my server at all. No he was not disrespectful, but instead of respecting my dining wishes, he usurped his own opinions when it came to my dining desires. There are few small examples that I can give, but instead I will just leave my review.
Always a great experience from the service to the food. I always look forward to coming here.
Although service was great , the taste of the food didn’t stand out to me . Feel like it wasn’t worth what i spent
One of our Restaurant Week favorites! I'm gluten free, and they had 2 of the 3 options for appetizer and main course that I could eat. 1 dessert option. We were a party of 5 and everyone loved their meals!
Our waiter made our experience memorable!
Fabulous service, delicious fare. We ate outdoors it was amazing!
It was above all my expectations from the service to the food to the ambiance! If I could give above 5 stars I would - the duck was out of this world ! The chef is a master, and their attention to details and service was outstanding.
Outstanding ambiance, service, and food! A must as a pre-show if you looking to spoil yourself!
The XIX Nineteen restaurant is one of the most beautiful dining rooms in the world. In addition, the views of the city are awesome, the service, food, ambiance - everything was simply wonderful. We did not want to finish our lunch so that we could stay there. They have outdoor seating on a private balcony, but we opted to eat inside. Do go if you are in Philadelphia. I can't think of a nicer place for lunch, anywhere. Thank you to everyone on the staff for making our lunch so special.
