Although the food and ambiance were good, the service was very lacking. We were not greeted upon entering the restaurant having to wait about 10 minutes before someone came to the front desk. Also had to wait awhile for the waitress to come to the table to offer beverages and then again to take our order.

We had not been a to the Bellevue in a long time. In the past I remembered excellent food, good service and a lot of customers with an animated ambience.

Frankly, I was so surprised to find what I did: the carpeting had not even been vacuumed, some of the stainless flatware was dirty, and while the sheer curtains are supposed to have the crushed look, the general impression they leave is unkempt and even dirty.

While the food on the buffet was very good, the presentation was a shock (and presentation is half the battle when it comes to serving food!): on the dessert side, the whipped cream was served in a cast iron casserole and the fresh berries were literally hidden in an oval Le Creuset cooking pot with burn stains on the sides. I really don't understand what the intended effect was, but it was really a turn off and a bizarre surprise. Leave those casseroles and kettles in the kitchen. They have no place on a buffet table!

Something needs to be done in a dining room with such charm and a gorgeous view.

I enjoyed the professionalism and the ambience and the view. The only issue was our main entree, the side of vegetable was over cooked and salty, and my monkfish dish was too salty and the potatoes were not done (it was hard, almost raw.) Wine list is great, appetizers and desert were on point. Waiter(Rasheed?) was phenomenal!

I have dined at XIX Nineteen before it it was excellent, but I have to say this past visit was horrid. To begin with our waiter took forever to take our order then food took a long time to come then my steak was dry and hard to cut! I was so disappointed! I’m sitting there not eating and waiting in our terrible waiter to come so I can order something else but by the time he finally got around to check in on us I didn’t want anything else but the check!!
So disappointing!!

My wife & I celebrated our wedding dinner at XIX 2yrs ago & LOVED IT. We decided to have our 2nd Wedding Anniversary dinner at XIX as well, & we requested the same balcony seating. They did not dissapoint! Everyone was so nice & accommodating! The food & mixed drinks were out of this world delicious, as was the coffee & desert! Kudos to the Chef!! Amazing food creations that were thebest we’ve ever tasted-ever!
We weren’t rushed at all, and all staff were professional, friendly & knowledgeable. We have decided to make XIX an annual tradition fro our Anniversary, a go to place for orher annual celebrations, surprise date nights, etc. XIX is no question our favorite high end Restaurant with fabulous views of this great City!

The worst restaurant I’ve been to in this class. It took about 5 mins to see someone for us to be seated. Took 10 mins to be acknowledged after being seated. I had noted this was a birthday, we watched several parities receive a candle and when it was time for our desert, nothing! I had to ask in front of my other half what happened? I would never go back and encourage others to try another restaurant in this class. There is nothing classy or special about this place. The staff were all horrible.

Our evening at XIX was very very nice. Everything from the atmosphere to the wait staff and the food/drink was everything that you'd want it to be and then some. Friendly and attentive staff, our food and cocktails tasted delicious, the seafood was fresh and our steaks were prepared very well, exactly to our liking. The portions are small, and that is one thing that I do not like, which is why I couldn't give 5 stars across the board. That said, we will most certainly visit XIX again soon.

Lovely dinner before ballet. One party had young girls and they were treated so nicely. Oysters outstanding, good specialty cocktails, enjoyed entrees and dessert. Able to have pleasant conversation. Great service. Thank you, Dominic.

The overall ambience is quite luxurious but one feels fine dressed casually after work. The menu is well rounded and innovative. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and accommodating, attentive without being intrusive. He described the entrees accurately and told us what the chef's recommendations were on how they would best be cooked; we couldn't have been happier with the food and its presentation. The view of the city was great through the large windows right next to our table. Over all, a good experience.

We decided on XIX for brunch b/c couldn’t get a last-minute reservation at Lacroix. It was our first time there and probably our last. First of all, the service of this entire establishment, including the hotel itself is subpar. The concierge watched us struggle to find the correct elevator to get to the restaurant and didn’t even bother to offer help. When we finally asked, he seemed annoyed by the question and not very happy to help. The service at the restaurant itself was spotty. My fiancé ordered the crab cake entree, and they completely forgot the crab cakes! The overall food quality was not worth what we paid. Our waitress was very abrupt with our order and didn’t even send us off with a proper goodbye. For an “upscale” restaurant, the food and service was not what we’d expected.

I am a seafood lover-great to have choices-always seasoned just right. The people here are wonderful-when I come and that is often-feels like my own place. They know what I am likely to order.

The prices are extremely high and the food was just ok. I had the roast duck which was tough. My husband ordered the meat and cheese plate as an appetizer for the table. For $30 the portions were so tiny. There are so many better restaurants in Philadelphia. I won't be returning to Nineteen.

I have been here before for cocktails and for first time for dinner as my birthday celebration. The staff was informative and professional. They were accommodating when our original group changed in size and quickly seated us at a table near the window. Only mild complaint is that we assumed there was a dress code and one other table was full blown casual.

Skip this resteraunt. Really disappointed with our experience. The Pearl room which is the one you see on the resteraunts's website was booked for a private event. That was one of the main reasons we wanted tomeat here. They sat us in another area that had dirty chairs, dirty windows, and paint that was peeling on the doors to the outside patio. Out table wasnt set and most of the othe tables had dirty dishes on them from previous diners that had left. The place was empty except for 3 other sets of diners. It took more than 10 minutes to have water and juice brought to the table. We had 1045am reservations. At 11am they took all of the food away. Our server should have let us know that they were closing down and asked if we wanted to make one more trip up. If I knew they closed breakfast so soon, we would have made eralier reservations. The food was your usual hotel powdered eggs, pottaoes, soggy bacon, and doughy french toast. All of the pastries were tastless and from a mass produced place (danish, muffins). This resteraunt also called me daily for the week leading up to this reservations to confirm it. Now I know why- based on the poor food selection and service they must have alot of cancellations. This breakfast was not worth the $50 it cost for 2 people. Save your money and find a better breakfast spot.
