Xiquet (chee-KETT) by Chef Danny Lledó features a sought-after tasting menu showcasing the finest products from around the world served with warm, Mediterranean hospitality. Known as one of the best fine dining restaurants in Washington DC for its modern Spanish cuisine, Xiquet has held a MICHELIN Star since 2021 and earned MICHELIN’s Sommelier of the Year Award in 2022. In the same year, AAA honored Xiquet with the travel authority’s highest rating, making it the only Five Diamond restaurant currently in the city. Recently, in 2023, the DC Restaurant Association awarded Xiquet with the RAMMY of Best Formal Fine Dining Restaurant of the Year.

We try to accommodate dietary restrictions. For dietary restrictions, please contact us before reserving. Chef's Tasting Menu $195. Available Wine Pairings $195. Price does not include service charge & tax. In order to ensure that everyone of our team earns a competitive wage, a 20% service fee will be added to the final bill. This fee is not a tip. Tips are not necessary, but appreciated. Cancellations within 72 hours will be charged the full menu cost including fees.

    I’m really surprised the restaurant has a Michelin star because the experience did not live up to that recognition. To start, they were out of a key menu item tonight. We asked for regular tap water but were served bottled. Then the servers mixed up our water and poured sparkling into one of our glasses. The sommelier not only missed serving particular glasses for our pairing with the designated course, but also doesn’t know how to properly pronounce Tattinger. They then took away our wine glasses for one course when there was wine still remaining in the glass that we were not finished with. During our dinner the lights kept flickering and going to high brightness and then down to off without warning. At one point the staff just turned the lights off above the tables. At the end of the meal, we were presented a check with a bottled water fee which I then said again we asked for tap water from the start of our meal. Overall disappointment.

    We personally had higher expectations. The wine parings were magnificent and super interesting. We found some of our seafood to be overcooked (the lobster on the paella, which was also salty, over charred, and a little greasy?) and one of the desserts tasted as if it had a rancid nut in it (we both thought so—some sort of marzipan almond bite).. not bad, but a bit off. Some of the extremely fishier tastes weren’t for us (tuna plankton and cured tuna). We thought the walls were dirty (scuffs on the white paint, smudges on picture frame), and there was a musty odor that hit you as soon as you walked into the front door. We smelled it the whole time. The lighting kept changing too. The hostess greeting area is cold and bare. Almost like things were under construction? It was odd. The sommelier was great though— she is very knowledgeable. Service felt unpolished at times—- maybe it was a new crew? Things link no napkin and no forks for the tea cake course. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t as synched and efficient as we are used to at Michelin places. Overall, we probably won’t go back, ever.

    Average restaurant at best, I am not sure the Micheline star represents the status of the restaurant. The food was decent but for the price was not worth it.

    Another fabulous meal at Xiquet. The summer menu is not to be missed! Xiquet has quickly become our favorite place for celebratory meals. The service is to notch and the food is creative and exciting. Highlights of this meal included the ibérico empanada, crab paella, duck and granita. Can’t wait to see what Chef Lledo comes up with next!

    Went to Xiquet last night and tried the new summer menu, absolutely amazing. Every dish had such fresh and vibrant flavors, and the whole experience felt really special. Can’t wait to go back

    Good food. Outrageously priced for value (in comparison with other Michelin restaurants in the city). 4 people bill was $2,000 and we brought our own wine, for reference.
