A friend and I chose to go "family-style" with multiple smaller plates and got a great selection - all good. Beer selection was also good, and the staff was attentive and friendly.
Good restaurant for a business team lunch. Good value and buffet stile allow for people to join whenever they can.
Went there to meet a friend for lunch and they serve only buffet at lunchtime. There were plenty of items to choose from but as with most buffe to, quantity doesn't mean quality or taste and Xanh proved to be no different. All items were mediocre in taste, with some items just too salty or overlooked with little flavor. Will not go back, at least not for lunch.
My friends and I came here after work one day for happy hour. We sat outside, which was nice since it was a warm evening. The service was impeccable, the food tasty and fresh. We sampled many items, including the Spicy Popcorn Chicken, Vietnamese Tacos, Kamikaze Wings, and Kobe Roll, all of which were excellent! Would definitely come again!
Consistently has great food. The happy hour is a terrific deal!
We always appreciate when the owner stops by to check on our satisfaction....great place, great food, great service. Thank you Lance.
Best Vietnamese food in California. Second time h I have eaten here and was not disappointed. Keep serving the great food you do and I will be back again.
Xanh Restaurant is one of our "go to" places for our group lunches. Everyone looks forward to it when we go.
Ate here before attending the theater. Let our server know we were on a tight schedule and she made sure everything was deliver very fast. The food was GREAT. We got several items and shared among the 4 of us.
Delicious food. A lot of vegetarian options. Food is alwsys fresh anc tasty. What's not to like? I come often. Lunch buffet is the best.
Next the Cal Train rail track. Noisy when the train guess by.
The food was quite tasty. I had the peppercorn steak and the Xanh salad with beef. Both were very good, and the portions were large. It would be nice to have an option for a smaller side salad. My wife had the soft tacos with chicken and hoisin, and a noodle dish.
We were celebrating our Manager's promotion to Director of IT services and the Xanh restaurant was a great place for the occasion. The food was hot, plentiful, tasty and had enough variety to suit the varied tastes of our group. The service was excellent.
The pineapple short rib is amazing, and easily one of the best dishes. I regularly dine here when I feel like getting my fix of short rib! Aside from that, the restaurant doesn't have much appeal to me, it seems to always be hosting some work event in the main dining area, and the wait staff are efficient and friendly, but it ends there with no real emphasis on making you really enjoy the dining experience. Overall it's good, but not great, regardless though I would recommend it and take friends and colleagues here.
Every dish was excellent, with flavors that popped. Dishes were just unique enough to make this experience different than other Vietnamese restaurants. Can't wait to go back!
It is nice clean restaurant. Dishes taste good, however, lack of substances. We ordered duck roll, one small piece of duck, one piece of lettuce and lots of rice noodle which is lots carbohydrate. I rather have more lettuce but not glass noodle. Sea bass in banana leaf costs $35. The size of the fish is no more than deck of card with again glass noodle and a little bit dried shiitake mushrooms. I know this is small dish place, but this is listed under main dish section, not small dish section. I also ordered whole crab but waitress told us crab is still frozen. It's going to take a while to steam it. I decided to change to other dish.
In the dinning room section (there is another front section for happy hour), it can sit at least 60 people. There are only one restroom for lady and one for gentlemen.
Good food, seems like the building/decor needs some work
Ridiculously overpriced. Dinner for 2 was $160 and I left still hungry. Very small portions which might be a blessing because the food was tasteless. Service was unacceptable even on a Wednesday night.
I can not imagine anyone going there twice.
Ahi tuna was outstanding.
Eureka! reservation system failed. Xanh came to the rescue at the last minute. Very good buffet. Great service. Overall awesome experence. Will bring team back for future events.
Always enjoy. Great presentation, unusual choices. We always do the small plates because there is so much to choose from. Some friends like the entrees but we fill up on the small plates.
Great service, great food! Will come back soon! Raving to friends about it.
I love this place. I've never had a bad meal or bad service. This place consistently provides both awesome service, food AND drinks. I would recommend this place every time someone asks!
Good tasted good, not the best. But it was good value at that price. The services was very good. The way they divided the section make it very noisy. I had hard time talking to my friend specially when there is a large party in the same section with you.
Great place for moms and kids here. All you can eat healthy Vietnamese. We loved the papaya and veggie noodles. Plenty of meat dishes, chicken, lamb and pork and plenty of veggie options all for $11.95pp. the waiter was lovely and a pleasure to have around. Not crowded during lunch, easy to make online reservations.
Most everything we tried was quite good and had large portions. The service was good but there was quite a wait between some dishes. We had a group of 5 so we were able to share our dishes. Overall we had a great evening.
The food was delicious and very interesting with an imaginative presentation. The small plates showed a lot of variety and each had its own unique flavor and look. In spite of the crowd on a a midweek night, mostly young people working in Mountain View, the service was fast and attentive. The only drawback was how loud the room was.
Excellent Vietnamese food . Good service . Good prices.
Nice menu and dinner with attentive service. Good drink selections. It was a family birthday dinner and they did a nice little something sports desert.
Very disappointed. They were clearly understaffed, since it took over 10 minutes to get a waiter to our table, and that too, after I stopped the hostess and asked her to send someone over. The waiter then broke the cork in our wine bottle!
The quality of the food seems to have deteriorated over the past few years.
Not likely to go back.
That ís always good restaurant to choose when you want to eat some Vietnamese foods ❤
The service is good and friendly
Maybe my 80th visit, about 66% for dinner, but this was lunch. Nice welcome and great seat for solo diner. The vegetarian portion of the lunch buffet hasn't really changed in years, other than to shrink a bit. This visit, though, the green beans were gone, and there was a teriyaki cauliflower. Enjoyable! I wish I knew the waiter's name who has remembered me over the course of years. Excellent.
Would have liked more vegetarian options.
The food was amazing...bar is crowded and noisy but the dining areas are very pleasant and much quieter. Great food and service!
Usually have diner at Xahn and love it. First time for lunch buffet. The food was tasty but not warm enough. I prefer to order off the menu.
One of my favorite restaurants. Always friendly staff, excellent food and nice quite atmosphere.
a too noisy. has in and out feeling. food very good. service good.
Very good presentation. Tastes mostly on the sweet (a little sour) side, so it is easy to please.
We really enjoyed the Phone You Pho Me. Easily enough for 3. We always love the Crispy shrimp clouds, and this time was no exception. This isn't a cheap dinner experience, but it is certainly worth the price. Never been disappointed.
It is becoming a bit dated, still relatively good, prices went up, but i don;t see the food quality followed. It is OK, comfortable, food choices are good, although some freshness and crispness from he food is not there as it used to be. They are friendly. Still a good place to go, but need a bit of a face lift in every way.
