Very nice ambiance and the food was great!
MANAGER SAVED THE NIGHT. Security and hostess disorganized but manager extremely professional, calm and accommodating. AMAZING OUTDOOR experience. Amazing appetizers and drinks were beautiful.
Food was all very good. Music was far too loud. At 8pm it was so loud I could barely hear my guests voice.
I was extremely disappointed with the food especially since it was very pricey. The menu does not match what comes. The fish was very fishy. The cauliflower had cheese wiz on top. The polenta under the cod was rock hard. The menu says ribs but you get tiny short ribs. Shrimp with XO sauce was just deep fried hard shrimps. As someone who dines out regularly in Toronto I would have to say this is the worst meal I’ve had this year. I will not be returning.
Not cheap. Food did not arrive together. Nice ambience. Food was good. Portions so-so size.
Great cocktails, nice atmosphere very friendly staff- we had a blast !!
Drinks and bao were amazing. The tacos were very small for the price and the Shisito peppers were bland.
The restaurant and patio are absolutely beautiful. Very cool, urban vibe. Crowd is mostly late 20's. We arrived for our reservation at 9 PM. When reading about the restaurant it claimed to be a Peruvian/Asian fusion, but the only Peruvian influence on the menu was the ceviche. The food was okay. Not great, but not bad either. The service was also ok. Our table of 4 received 2 of our entrees and after about 10 minutes we had to ask the waitress where the other 2 entrees were. When they came out they were slightly cold. At about 10 PM the volume of the music really turned up. Made it difficult to finish the dinner conversation. In my opinion they could wait until 11 PM to turn up the music. There is a nightclub in the back, but at 10 PM there was not a single soul in there, so there was really no need to turn the music up so high.
The ambiance was amazing, cozing and chill. The music makes you feel in a club, which is pretty satisfied.
Yummy food! Great for a girls night out! The cod was the best cod I've had. The pink "Butterfly" drink changes colour when you add the shot to it.
Will definitely go back!
Went with a girlfriend along time after reopening and they seated us at the most isolated romantic table in the restaurant. Didn’t get the experience we were looking for and they were not able to accommodate either.
The greeting at the door wasn’t that welcoming. The service from my server was good. Victoria was really nice and helpful. A big shoutout to the manager; Asian man in a black and white checkered jacket I believe.. he was very well dressed. He was attentive and very kind. I had not ate the chicken on my Chicken Katsu + Greens salad, simply cause I had wanted the greens (which were perfectly dressed and really fresh and yummy) more than the meat, and he was over right away upon it being cleared from my table to check food quality. Our food during the main and appetizer course did not all come out at the same time. I think that should’ve have been planned a bit better especially upon knowing that Lamb takes longer to cook than Salmon. My Japanese Chicken Dumplings barely had any chicken filing in it. Also my side option of Snow Peas + Chinese Broccoli never came with snow peas.. Nethertheless it was a good because the lamb was excellent!! and it wasn’t an absolutely crummy experience. I would go back.
It was great! Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and friendly. Food and drinks were delicious. Wish we didn’t sit right beside the door but very happy we came. Thank you!
Our server Holly was just terrible. Kept taking shots with tables beside us and never came back to check up
On our table. Drinks were empty all night, we wanted to order mains but she took so long to come back for us after we ordered appetizers that we just ended up leaving. She took literally an hour to bring us the bill. Food was good the one cocktail I had was fenomenal, But service was terrible, Avoid this place at all
The food is just OK. They do have some fun drinks. The Pork Bao and lamb lollipops were good. The chicken dumplings were disappointing. The Oaxaca old fashioned was good. The patio is nice and the service was pretty good.
Food mediocre for these price points. Dumplings were burnt and hard as a rock. plate Thats appealing to the eye
Quality and variety of food is outstanding. Service was friendly, enthusiastic and at a nice pace. Dishes are a bit pricy, relatively speaking for a cool/casual eatery. I know the place is going for a vibe to appeal to the younger set, but the music doesn’t need to pound at “Rave” levels. I guess that doesn’t matter as much these days as everyone is on their phones anyways and talking over dinner is a dying custom. Still, I would strongly recommend it for the food alone.
Was skeptical at first about going to this restaurant after reading the reviews but my son and I decided to give it a try and so glad we did! The restaurant's menu is designed and best enjoyed when you share plates, and the dishes come out when they are ready, similar to a tapas style restaurant. Everything we ordered was so delicious, filled with amazing flavors! We ordered the chicken lettuce wraps, chicken dumplings, salmon tataki, and the crispy chicken and the Xango fried rice. The crispy chicken and fried rice were so good we ordered a second one of each! My son tried the ribs which he said were also very good and flavorful. Our server was very attentive and the wine was delicious. All in all a great dining experience!
We had to wait for about 20 minutes before we got seated even though we had reservations. There was literally a line of people outside who all had reservations. I doubt that this always happens, but it still sucked.
The food was really good though, and the prices were decent compared to similar restaurants.
All in all, I’d go again, but definitely earlier in the day.
Amazing food. Good vibes. Would come again.
We really enjoyed our first time at Xango. Our server Holly was great, very attentive and courteous. We didn’t have to wait long for our food to be delivered and they were amazing. We sat on the patio, so the ambiance was perfect.
Worst food and service I’ve ever experienced in Toronto
Beautiful patio and friendly service. Food was delicious too!
Excellent choice for a tapas experience. Amazing food!!!
Food took a very long time to arrive and dishes arrived at random times. Would have been nicer for the waiters to wait for the entire order to be ready. Overpriced but food was good. Drinks were ok.
Had an awesome time with a few friends. Great ambiance. Bao buns were delicious and bone in rib eye was cooked perfectly.
Great food and service! Really enjoyed the steak!
When they opened their doors everything was perfect. The service, cleanliness, attentiveness, the food. Especially the seafood. I completely sympathize with the COVID ridiculousness and the struggle but last time it felt abandoned. Not even a manager on site to oversee service. Glasses were dirty and unpolished, so obvious that you wonder how a bartender and a server wouldn’t notice while serving. The food is still pretty good but the sushi menu is really missing.
It’s a great spot but needs some love. Even the entrance from the Arcane made it hard to find it.
The whole industry is understaffed so please limit the seatings. Quality over quantity.
Was amazing !!!! Best meal I have ever had. Everything was perfect
Terrible service. Slow to receive drinks.
My wings were burnt. The staff were nice and the drinks were good. Ambience is gorgeous
Our waitress hardly ever came to check on us. We were trying to pay for 20 minutes. Our food all came out at different times. Dirty plates sat in front of us for 30 minutes. Extremely small portions.
The location wasn't the best. Service wasn't the best, had to ask many times for things I shouldn't have to ask for. For the amount I was paying the service should have been much better, and the person waiting on me shouldn't be making excuses about how they're a "bartender" so they may not be the best. NO, hire the right amount of people Xango. Would not recommend it for people below 20, they'll take advantage of your young age by checking up on you less frequently than other tables. The food and ambiance were good, overall Xango had a nice vibe so that's why I'm giving it 3 stars.
Food is pretty good, very random
Menu, doesn’t jive. Some menu items are a little over complicated.
Drinks took a long time to get to us and the restaurant didn’t seem too busy. Our server Juan was super nice. Overall the experience just fell short of our expectations
They make you wait 30 minutes past your reservation to get seated because your table is still occupied by the time you arrive in time for your reso. The food is alright, the service is pretty slow and the servers are not attentive. Decided to give this place a second try, big mistake. I am also pretty sure there are dumpsters behind the green wall with the neon sign. Sat in one of the booths over there and had to smell garbage the whole night. Rip
Love the ambience. very organized and friendly staff especially at the front.
Server was also very good.
Amazing night out for drinks
Overrated, overpriced and made us wait despite having a reservation.
Great vibes and food!
