Wyoming's Rib and Chophouse - Gillette
An 8 oz. steak served open face on a steak bun
Cedar Plank Salmon
Fresh 8 oz. filet of salmon broiled as you like it on a smoldering cedar plank with Jamaican brown sugar glaze or traditional lemon, and your choice of a house side
A 14 oz. T-Bone cut of farm raised pork, grilled to tender and juicy perfection. You won't find a more perfect chop anywhere!
When we sat down our waitress asked if we were celebrating- which we were. She said to save room for desert. On Them. Took drink and app order . Never got the appetizer.
My steak was totally undercooked and side served stone cold.
Second drink came out after meal done.
She took steak off the bill - it was charged at the wrong price as was husbands ribs and never got a desert or asked if we wanted it.
Great food - eventually
The steak was tender and juicy. Service was outstanding.
Riley was our waitress and was great!
It had an inviting atmosphere both country and modern. We split a plate of ribs and they were delicious and filling. I loved the unusual squash casserole. Yum, tasty!
We told the Manager we were giving them a thumbs down because the music was so loud we couldn’t even talk to each other. Portion sizes where also way to small.
Fantastic place to eat. My family was happy. Jambalaya was a pleasant surprise.
We took friends from out of the area to dinner. Our service was terrific a d the food delicious. We greatly appreciated that the portion sizes were just right. The food was tasty enough to enjoy instead of getting too full or taking half of it home.
The steaks- I get the filet- used to be more flavorful and not as dry. It was cooked perfectly though. My wife didn’t finish her chicken, not sure why but she said it wasn’t good.
I must start with our server, Sierra. She is service personified. Not intrusive or overbearing, not neglectful. Perfect, really. Was there if we wanted something, friendly but not fake or saccharine. Well done!
It was Valentine's Day and the place was busy as was to be expected. But we got right in and seated, drinks came quickly, and our orders placed. The pace of the meal was fine.
The downsides of the evening are minor with a couple of biggies. The minor is I wish they would lose the paper table coverings. Cheapens up the whole feel of the evening and every spill and dribble and water ring shows and just feels... ugh. Not a fan. The biggies... Me Bride's potato was cold. Huge. But cold. Butter wouldn't melt. (she also had her pork chop cooked a bit more, but she's weird like that. I would have eaten it!). And the King Crab legs I ordered were also cold and it was the first time that I had shells that wouldn't crack. They were like rubber, would fold all up and bend like a hose, but had to be ripped open with a fork or knife.
All in all, it was a pleasant evening, even with a couple of major food issues. Total cost around $70 (before tip) so not even what I would consider expensive. We've eaten there before and we will be back.
Best time, meal, waitress I have had in some time. Great place.
I took my wife and daughter to dinner for Valentine’s Day and I’m so glad I chose this place. The service was excellent, the food was incredible. We got our picture taken at the table and they had it printed onto a keepsake card in a matter of minutes. It was one of the best evenings we have ever spent together as a family.
The evening was very nice. Our reserved table was ready when we arrived. The waitress was the best. Sam took excellent care of us. The food was great and arrived perfectly cooked. A great time.
Everything was great! Perfect staff, service, food and environment!
The food was scrumptious. The staff was welcoming but not smothering. We will be going back again for sure!!! Love the Executive Lunch. You can't find a better deal in town!
Food was good, service excellent, could have used had the crab legs sliced and provided a small fork for ease of removing meat from shell. Also did not enjoy the very hot plate of steak that was flattering hot grease all over the table and me.
The food and service was great but the noise level was terrible.
It a nice place to eat and it wasn't so loud that you had to yell to be heard.
Just a little loud because it was so busy in New Years Eve. But good experience anyway
I made a reservation for 3, I asked to be sat in the bar so we could watch the football games that were on. When we got there we were sat at the table that when ever the front door opened we got an artic blast ! There were 3 other tables and a booth open at the time, I asked the hostess if we could sit at the other table by the fire place so we could still watch the games and she explained that she would have to ask her manager. She then told us that the manager said no, she was sorry.
We come here all the time and spend lots of money, I could understand if you would have been full and that other table had been reserved, I get it, but no one sat there the whole time we were there. The food was great, the waitress was great, but for me to have to move my chair to block the breeze with my coat and keep my vest on through out the entire meal was not okay. Not impressed this time. We have never had any issues, I'm just very disappointed.
We waited at front counter for five minutes before someine came to seat us. We were then seated in a booth next to the bar, and waited another ten minutes for menu or water. The food was excellent, the servers were very kind but we felt stranded! I had ribs and couldn't even get a napkin and I asked twice.
It was not busy, and we felt we could have had better service.
Service uneven and amateurish.
Josh was incredible!!! Great service!
We set a reservation for our anniversary and were originally seated next to the bar. We politely asked to be seated in a booth as we had young children but were ignored and seated at a drafty table next tot he door which was held open with an outdoor temperature of below freezing. The waiter never circled back around to refill drinks and was not able to answer basic questions about menu items and seemed more interested in chatting up the table next to us. We will not be returning
Had an enjoyable evening. Service was fast.
Passing thru Gillette on way from Yellowstone to Rapid City. Restaurant recommended in travel guide for Montana and Wyoming. Good ambience. Friendly and polite service. Ribs -- house specialty -- were not smoked but broiled. A little on the tough side. Barbecue sauce vinegary. Not the usual taste for those of us from barbecue capitals like KC and St. Louis.
The waitress brought a tall beer when my wife ordered a small and we let that go but then my son’s steak was delivered undercooked and then the waitress brought out the wrong dinner to my wife and argued with her which truly perturbed me. On a positive note, the waitress did let the manager know there was a problem and the manager came to our table to listen to our concerns. He apologized and comped our dinner. The management did the right thing and I will not hold it against the restaurant for the actions of one waitress.
Great meal with friends here twice this week!! Live the atmosphere and waiters are so friendly. Def worth it .
Positives: Outstanding service. Always.
Negatives: Food is hit and miss. Burgers and fries are always good; however, the carrot and squash sides need some help - either salty or sweet - and visually not very appetizing. Also, be careful about assuming which drinks/beers are included in happy hour or ask before assuming too much or else you'll get a small surprise on your bill.
Great food and service!
Excellent food and great service. Highly recommend it. They have a 22oz margarita that was awesome! Fillet was delicious as were the ribs.
The food and service is always great!
Anniversary and visiting new grand baby. The made accommodations for the toddler and took excellent care of us. Even paid special attention to the new mother. Great staff, great food. Wonderful experience
The small fillet was cooked to perfection—a perfect medium rare—and it was hot! The ribs were not hot and somewhat tough. The squash side had the potential for tasting wonderful but it was lukewarm, at best. The server was absent most of the time so that might account for the lukewarm service, as well. Would be willing to try again based on the steak alone and hope for a more attentive server.
Wyoming rib n chop has the best steaks you can buy in Gillette Wyoming in my opinion.
We stop here each time we head south to our winter home and again on the way a back to our summer home. Always have a good meal.
Great food; excellent service!! Our server Anisa was wonderful; made sure all our food was just right, offered a sample prior to ordering, didn’t forget about us, & made our Anniversary special by offering to take a picture! The online reservation was easy to use too and add to our calendar👍
Setting and service were fine. Three meals were ordered. The cedar plank salmon was cooked properly and was very good. The lobster pot pie was also delicious and I would definitely order again. The ribeye was cooked correctly and as ordered but contained a lot of gristle and silver skin that had to be cut away which resulted in a much smaller cut of meat and took away from the overall dining experience. The ribeye also lacked flavor and not as tender as expected.
