Wyoming’s Rib and Chophouse – Cheyenne
We had some steaks and chicken dishes. Steaks used to be better. The chicken was very dry. The air conditioning was running too much as i had to wear a jacket the entire time. The music volume was up higher than usual.
I was skeptical when I made the reservation.
FYI: The Rib and Chop house is closed. Yet you still made us a reservations. Please update your system. Terrible service.
We made reservations through your website and were looking forward to our dinner, however when we arrived they were CLOSED!!
All the staff was friendly and the food was great. There prices were very reasonable for what you get. Even with the covid changes they really did a great job. I will be back and I will tell everyone coming to Cheyenne to try this place. It is worth the trip.
Food was just average. Prices have gone up. Sweet pototoe fries were soggy and overly salty- low quality.
People In Wyoming need good food at a good value
The staff and manager were extremely hospitable making our anniversary celebration a memorable event.
The food was fantastic and our waiter was excellent!
Mediocre food for what you pay for. The atmosphere was okay, but they're are a lot better restaurants I would go to before this one.
Our server Justin was fantastic. He explained each item in the menu, made great recommendations and everything was wonderful.
Very relaxing meal with outstanding food. Loved being in a normal environment with no restrictive requirements. Will definitely return next time I'm in Cheyenne!
Came up from Colorado to eat at a restaurant!! Emily our waitress was WONDERFUL!! Your gumbo is awesome! We are telling EVERYONE to go up there! Thanks for being open !
Good food and nice to finally sit in a restaurant!
We had to travel during the beginning of the COVID 19. It was one of the few open restaurants before everything went to curbside or to go. They were sure to keep distance between guests and the food was incredible. I tried to eat at The Rib & Chop House every time I stay in Cheyenne. Great food, great service, great location, great ambiance, prompt service and reasonably priced for what you get.
Great food. Great service. Will be back when we are in town.
The meal and the staff were awesome. We had a great time.
We enjoyed everything about our visit. The food was amazing, so was the service.
Good choice for lunch or dinner.
We have been to this chop house several times and this by far was our worst experience thus far. I ordered the 6oz filet medium rare, although it was cooked correctly it was one of the worst filets I have ever had. It had no flavor and the texture was not that of a filet. My daughter had the chicken Marsala and it had absolutely no flavor. Even adding salt did not help. Our waitress was very attentive, but the kitchen was having a hard time keeping up with the customers. We waited for quite a while before we even got our food. It also seemed like the runners had no idea what tables to take food to. Several times they came to tables in our section with the incorrect food. I honestly have to say I don’t know that I will be back. There are other restaurants in Cheyenne that have better quality food for a comparable price.
Perhaps the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Drink order took over 20 minutes to be delivered, for four draft beers. Food order took 40 minutes, baked potato and mashed potatoes were cold. Asked for hot/warm potato. Next one was plenty hot, but also not cooked. Actually crunchy. Ordered NY strip steak, received a filet. Our poor server said everyone was having the same bad meal. Somebody needs to kick up the level of supervision of the kitchen and bar staff!!
2 steaks ordered, cooked perfectly, great service!
Good food and service with very nice ambiance. A few glitches with menu items was handled professionally.
We went there for the first time when we had family visit us in Fort Collins in November. We took some friends this time and the food and service was still fantastic.
There where bowl games happening so it got a little wild some time but it just added to the experance! Thanks Chris for taking care of us!
Everything was awesome but our server, Amanda, was new at the job and her lack of knowledge and her inexperience showed. She forgot things and was very slow. We were eating in the bar and yet it took a long time to get our drinks.
Very good food and prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend getting dessert too!
Came in on a cold and snowy night. The staff was in good spirits and took great care of us. Salmon was delicious. Would definitely return. Their Accomplice beer paired well with the meal. Great environment, service, beer and food.
First off, the service was great!! Just wanted to be clear. The food was hit and miss. The bruschetta was fantastic! The seasonal chicken and pasta in a pesto cream sauce was great! Wine was good! But the crab crusted chicken must have been cooked for 10-15 minutes too long. It was petrified. We brought it up, and the waitress took care of it (like I said, service was fantastic!), but it was still disappointing. Still a good night, though!
I've been to this restaurant many times, both personal and business. I've ordered their famous appetizer "Fried Green Tomatoes" many times, this time was a joke, the order was about a third of the normal size. It looked like they used "cherry" sized tomatoes, and the server didn't say a word. Then we ordered our meals, I had again their well known "Cedar Plank Salmon", and it was excellent. The problem was that the server said I get one side, that was absolutely wrong. I did not want to argue, so I has a salad. Across the top of their menu; "* All steaks, fish, and ribs are served with your choice of a dinner salad or soup, and a house side." Maybe they were out of full size green tomatoes and all house sides.
Absolutely wonderful experience on a little getaway trip. From reservation through opentable to the amazing steaks to the friendly service this was a top notch dinner
We had reservations and we’re running 5 minutes late. We were seated right away and were being waited on immediately. We ordered fried green tomatoes which were great as always. My wife ordered some wine and I had a Sapphire and tonic. The wine didn’t come with a separate vessel like usual and my gin and tonic was missing a garnish(lime). Both of our main meals were pretty good but the sides were lacking freshness. They were brought out a little early. My ribeye was excellent at medium rare, my add on fried shrimp were very dry and my wife’s carrot side dish had been sitting awhile. Her fillet had been sitting for awhile also. The service was good all around but I had the impressing staff was struggling, perhaps short handed in the back.
Mostly a great dining experience and I’m sure we will be back for another special occasion.
Buffalo steak with truffle oil= delicious heart attack. It was so delicious.
Baby back ribs = dry but decent sauce. Not our favorite. The happy hour deals are pretty amazing.
Appetizers were excellent. Drinks were good and the entrees were very tasty to excellent. Service was very attentive and helpful. We drove 90 miles just to eat here for my wife’s birthday.
Excellent service, Great food, nice atmosphere. The managers, CJ, Shawna and Sheena are outstanding and make sure you have a good dinner experience.
Very attentive staff. Our server, Monica was excellent. The food was very good. The manager was also very attentive and went out of her way to make our evening enjoyable. I highly recommend dining here.
Birthday Dinner- very good. Waitress was great, hostess accommodated a special seating request. Very nice evening.
Had to wait or reservation, Mandy was a great server. Can’t wait to come back.
I have dined at Rib and Chop Houses in Livingston and Billings Montana and now in Cheyenne Wyoming. Had ribs this time that were tender and delicious— highly recommend. Salads are good. Squash casserole left me cold. Good service. Noisy.
During a recent stay in Cheyenne, WY, my Wife and I decided to try this authentic western-looking establishment. We found the food very good, the service very good, and the overall experience enjoyable. While our steaks were a little below the temperature that we had requested, the meal was very nice and satisfying. The Carrot Sufflette was incredible and should be offered as a full-on dessert. Their wine selection was a bit sparse, but adequate for the task. We would definitely return during our next visit.
Amazing food. Celebrating a promotion and dessert was free! Really great prices giving the the delicious steak and excellent portions.
Host and Wait staff are excellent. I went to see box Skaggs on Thursday Sept 19. I decided at the last moment to go to the chop house for dinner, had not made a reservation. The hostess staff was able to get me to a table in short time. I was able to get the new York strip steak, everything was great. The following Sunday - Sept 22 I went to see Kansas. This time I made a reservation for my dinner. Everything went well. however, I was not able to order the New York Strip, as they were sold out. I ordered the filet instead. As I sat eating my dinner, at a table next to me, some one requested pulled pork. They were informed it was sold out, and not available. As a side remark the waitress said this is the end of their week, and stock is low. With 2 major concerts coming to Cheyenne as close as they did, some thought should have gone into the stocking.
