We ate here tonight after getting frustrated with the “go-to” steakhouse in town. Chophouse was better in almost every possible way—my steak was like butter, the service was excellent, the restaurant was much cleaner, etc. etc. We loved it
Great service, fantastic food. I would recommend this restaurant to all my family and friends. I haven't been in this building since 1979. You have changed it into a far better place.
Good was great, service was great! Definitely one of our go to steak houses in town! The seating arrangement seems to be a little close to your neighbor, but overall comfortable. Will continue to eat here and enjoy!
We went on Christmas Eve. I expected the place to be packed and I was prepared to be patient. We were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was busy but not packed. Our server was amazing. She was extremely attentive and hospitable. She recommended the house special-Cote De Boeuf. It was absolutely delicious! I would most definitely recommend the Rib and Chophouse!
We were seated right away and it took the server about 10 minutes to greet us and take our drink order. Once we had ordered dinner and was served our salads we asked for bread. The server said bread was not automatically served but was available for guests that requested it and said she would bring it right away. We never received our bread—even though we asked 2 more times. We both ordered a steak, medium rare: small filet and the Manhattan NY Strip. The strip steak was well cooked, but it wasn’t a strip. It was closer to being a filet with absolutely no marbling. When asked about the cut the server simply said that’s how “we cut a strip.” Marbling is the trademark of a NY strip! The filet wasn’t just under cooked it was actually cold , even though it was served on a searing hot plate and felt like it had just come out of the refrigerator. Despite several attempts to get our server’s attention we finally gave up and just ate the edges of the filet. Both dinners were served with a baked potato and both were cold—would not melt butter. We ordered a second glass of wine that we never received. Server noticed the wine had not been served when she brought our check, left and then came back and said it was not served because they ran out and “nobody told me.” All-in-all it was a disappointing, over-priced experience. We have been to the Livingston, MT Rib and Chop House several times and had a wonderful (5 star) dinner each time. I’m not sure we will ever go back after the Casper experience.
Food was ok.... drink service was not good. Asked for a martini 3 times, got it 40 minutes after we sat down.
The building is very nice, newly remodeled, but floors are dirty, particularly around edges in ladies room and the paper holders are floppy on the wall, barely holding the roll. Needs to be maintained better in my opinon.
The food was very good. Service was fast steak was cooked to order, was hot and maintained temperature while eating due to the 350 F plate it was served on. Ribs were excellent and the cedar plank salmon was the best I’ve ever had.
Right downtown close to shopping area, very nice ambiance and menu.
The fried green tomatoes with lump crab meat was mysteriously missing the crab meat. My husband asked for blue cheese crumbles on his handcut ribeye. What came to the table was a steak that was so overloaded with blue cheese it appeared to be coated in an inch and a half layer of burnt blue cheese. I ordered my sirloin rare and it was cooked perfectly, however was lacking in any seasoning. I hardly ever add salt to food but was surprised to have to do it in a steak house. The Laramie restaurant is levels better above this one.
Good steak and sides cooked to perfection. Very good service.
Friendly service, casual western ambiance, and great food. I had the filet with blue cheese crumbles, medium rare and it was cooked perfectly! Highly recommend eating here!
The food was OK. Would have been better if it arrived hot. Food and drink service was slow and the server seemed inexperienced as is true of every restaurant in town. My husband wouldn't go back. I am willing to try it again down the road
Food was great as always .. my credit card was charged 20 dollars more than the meal n tip . I called and spoke with a manager, she talked in circles, said that this happens n it autocorrects by the next day .. the reality was I was overcharged 20 and no one took accountability.. mistakes happen... this has never happened at Firerock or JS Pub .. I want be back ..
Service & food was amazing. Unfortunately we got a table by the service door & it was not the so amazing. I will make sure to specify seating for my next reservation.
Atmosphere is so energetic. Employees are outstanding. And food is sooo delicious
Best ribeye I’ve had in a long time, great atmosphere
No bread or dinner rolls. Steak very good! Happy place in town!
The main course was great. But the desserts were disappointing .
The food was amazing! So tender and perfectly cooked. We had the Cote Beef and Pork Chops. The mashed potatoes were delicious. Our server was wonderful. She was knowledgeable, polite, and funny. The whole place was clean and well organized. We didn’t have to wait long for anything that we asked for.
Nice, pleasant atmosphere, friendly and professional staff and reasonable pricing.
All of the ingredients for an enjoyable dinner experience.
The best full-service establishment in Casper. They know steaks, ribs, and chops.
Quick to get in. Service was amazing food was great.
Everything was wonderful! Seated right away, even though we were early for our reservation. Food was delicious and prompt. Service was extremely friendly.
First time at this restaurant, and in Casper. Great steaks and wonderful service by the wait staff. Great taste of Casper, WY. We would recommend to anyone.
Get away weekend. Best steaks I’ve ever had
My husband ordered the 14 oz pork chop, done medium, he doesn't mind "a little pink," with salad and Brussel sprouts (which had a ten inch long hair in it). I ordered my 6 oz. Filet medium rare, as I do wherever we eat, with soup and Brussels sprouts. Salad and soup were both good and we anticipated the rest of a great meal. Waitress delivered hot plates with our meat and asked us to cut into them to see how they were cooked. Mine was a little more on the rare side, but nothing I couldn't handle. Husband cut into the end, seemed ok. As he got further into the chop, there was honest-to-goodness RED. We called our waitress, who maintained that was medium...WHAT?? The manager came out and apologized and ordered another chop for him, which of course delayed our meal another 20 minutes, and by now I had finished my meal. The second chop was cooked as first ordered. We could have asked to be comped but expected the manager to come back out...it didn't happen, not even a free dessert! We have eaten at several Rib & Chop Houses, all have been a great experience. Except this one. It was our first - and LAST - time here.
My husband had the ribs. They know how to cook ribs. Outstanding! I had the baseball cut sirloin. It was tender, served very hot and done perfectly. Staff was attentive, but seemed to take forever to get our 2nd glass of wine from the bar. This is our "go to" place for steak in Casper. Steak is always done perfect, just as we ordered. If in Casper I would definitely recommend the Rib & Chop House
Management not communicating with the kitchen not communicating with the wait staff - two items in our order were not available and we were not told until the other items in our order were brought to the table. Once is understandable - twice is not, not to mention the waitress was on her first night - on her own. This location is obviously poorly managed which takes away from the excellent food.
Food was delicious! My husband had a steak, I had the chicken with crab meat.
Absolutely the best tasting cuts of meat found in Casper and cooked to perfection! Appetizers are tough to put down in hopes on not filling up before your meal arrives… best food snd service around!
Good food and nice atmosphere. Lots of families and groups, all enjoying the place.
Service was great! Their NY strip is not a typical NY strip and I did have my steak under cooked BUT they fixed it immediately and food was good.
service was very good
we were seated next to a very large and very loud group which made it difficult to truly enjoy our meal
Côte de Boeuf is the absolutely best steak I have ever had.
The ribeye was delicious!!
In town overnight on a quick road trip. Checked indoor hotel looked up and reserved for dinner able to get in at 7:45.
A very nice very old building that had been renovated into the restaurant. The main level was the only level that was active with guests.
Food was extremely good and cooked to order. I had the 15oz Manhattan cut and my wife had the 10oz cut. Garlic Mashed potatoes were excellent and hot.
We arrived 5 minutes early for a 7pm reservation and was told our table wasn’t ready so we said we’d be in the bar. We sat there for half an hour and then finally inquired when our table would be ready. During this time they were seating people who arrived after us. It was like they totally forgot about us. Finally a Mgr got involved and they seated us. Once seated the service was good, appetizers were great, but meal was below average. Tough ribs and some cold sides. The Mgr did buy us a drink for our wait.
The best ribs we’ve tasted!!
We went specific for lamb chops. Had the on both open table menu and their website. Arrived and no lamb chops on menu. The response from serve staff was that they guessed they should keep website up to date. We ordered alternative food which took a long time to get. The server asked if we wanted rolls while we waited. They came after our food finally arrived. Took another five minutes to get butter.
Food was very average. Could have had the same food at Denny’s. Don’t bother!
Had baseball cut sirloin steak. Was done perfectly as I ordered on a searing hot platter. Was delicious and tender. My dinner salad also came with sliced hard boiled egg and avocado. Really yummy. Staff was very prompt with their service. Will definitely be going back soon!
