Incrediable food and impeccable wait staff and service
We really enjoyed our delicious lunch at Wyld. The weather was beautiful so we were able to eat outside and we were very impressed with their strict Covid procedures. Our server was very attentive and informative. Can’t wait to return!
Service staff was not Ritz Carlton standard that we have experienced in the past. The food was not great and staff seemed annoyed.
Hello Ms. McLain, At WYLD we strive for uncompromising levels of genuine service, but it's clear we've missed our mark on this occasion. For this, I sincerely apologize on behalf of our wonderful team. We understand that the transition from outdoor to indoor dining can present challenges when it unexpectedly rains, interrupting a fluid dining experience. We're committed to improving this process. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope to have you back as valued guests of WYLD and the RCBG.
Lovely mountain setting and delicious fresh seasonal menu. Covid precautions made me feel safe. The gazpacho is delicious and definitely a starter size portion. Charred sugar snap peas were a nice alternative to a salad. Chicken with succotash was amazing.
Ms. Charron, Thank you for your kind review! We are excited to share your words with our culinary team about our Organic Brick Chicken, Tomato Gazpacho and Street Corn Succotash side. And just as important, that you recognized the precautions we've put in place during these challenging times to ensure our guests and staff are safe. We look forward to having you back at WYLD, and we greatly appreciate your patronage. Cheers to you.
Delicious interesting choices. Pretty pricey though.
Went for a special birthday dinner. Keeping in mind that these are odd times, I am still not sure we would go back. Hard to gauge ambiance as tables were so spread out and door to patio was open and lots going on out there, not to mention very casual. Our food was delicious, although I would skip the foie gras with croissant appetizer. Croissant didn't seem fresh and foie gras was lost. Three of the five had it and all thought was fine but felt the same way. Everyone loved their entrees butt he salmon was so tiny I was sure my twenty something son would need two!!!It was probably 2"x 3" and both my husband and son ordered it. They thought it was good, but that is just ridiculous. I had the lamb and it was delicious and others enjoyed their entree. Dessert was a bust. No flavor pudding, one dessert forgotten and Black Forest dessert ok. Service as so strange. Waitress started off well but disappeared halfway through the meal and they were not short staffed. Dinner took 2 1/4 hours and long lapses between courses and ordering dessert. We just NEVER saw her for 20-30 minutes at a time. We had post dinner plans as it was a special birthday that we had to cancel because it took so long, for no reason. We were in Beaver Creek a week and had some fabulous meals, this was not one of them. Skip this and go to Sweet Basil or Grouse Mountain Grill, they are both consistently, fun and the food and service wonderful. We would have chosen GMG but they were closed on Mondays and we had plans for SB later in the week. So many other options in the area, skip this.
Stayed at ritz and went to wyld first night, we had the salmon and pasta dishes. Food was way overpriced and size of salmon was about 3-4 oz. which wouldn’t fill up a young child. pasta dish was something I could have made at home. Chef has a heavy hand with salt as both dishes were very very salty. For the price of this dinner I would look elsewhere.
I am honored to give WYLD a 5 star review. The chef had an exceptional seasonal menu and exquisite in flavor. The wine list had the most unique wines. When you arrive, there is an outside and inside tables. If the weather is perfect, definitely get a table outside looking at the slopes and music playing, great vibe. The customer service was exceptional with their knowledge of not only the foods but the ingredients giving us a better understanding of the food selection. Everything we had was made to perfection.
Thank you Lisa. We greatly appreciate your feedback! The culinary brigade and front of house service team are thrilled to read this review. We appreciate your business, and look forward to serving you again in the future. Cheers.
The food presentation was beautiful, however we were underwhelmed with our appetizers and entrees overall.
Will, Hunter, and Chef Esteban made it the best birthday ever! Amazing service and food and overall experience. Will definitely be back!
Amazing halibut...sliced steak was not a show stopper by any means. We have eaten here several time and I get that it’s a small menu due to COVID-19...but Medium Steak is Medium Steak in any situation. Dessert was amazing!! Chocolate Tart melted in your mouth ♥️
We had a great time for our anniversary, service was one of the best Kyle run the extra mile
We had a special event in our family that happened to coincide with Independence Day. While staying at the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch we ate at WYLD. They went above and beyond to accommodate our family and had prepared a special dessert that met a dietary restriction for us. Wonderful evening!
Atmosphere is nice especially outside patio. Menu is limited and portions are very small especially the appetizers. Service is good but food over rated and definitely over priced for the portions.
Everything was outstanding! We love eating at WYLD. Thank you!!!
Sort of meh for what you're paying. We had the salmon and the steak with a side of potatoes. The potatoes were outstanding, but it's sort of sad that that's what stood out to me. The portions were very small, and for salmon, steak, potatoes, and two glasses of wine we paid about $130. So not astronomical, but not the greatest value for how small our meal was. The service was impeccable, however, and the staff were all incredibly friendly and doting on us.
We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here while staying at the hotel and the food did not meet our expectations AT ALL for onsite dining at a Ritz Carlton. We both had the lamb for dinner and honestly it was the worst lamb we have ever had (tough and some bites tasted "old"). The best thing we had at all three meals was the green juice for breakfast. The quality of the food, average service, and high cost made our experiences disappointing.
We had an amazing dinner on the patio at Wyld a couple of nights ago. Just as we were getting settled at our table, it started to sprinkle and the people at the other tables went inside. We decided to stick it out a bit longer. Our wait person set up an umbrella and after 10 minutes or so, it was nice enough to move the umbrella and turn on the heater over our table. We proceeded to have an amazing meal in a spectacular setting, and we had the patio all to ourselves for the majority of the evening. The food was excellent, as was the wine. (The cocktails were pretty average.) I would definitely go back. It would be hard to beat that combination of food, service, and atmosphere.
Food was awesome, but the portion size was really small.
Lovely staff. Salmon was overcooked for a medium-to-rare.
We had a nice experience, service could not have been better. Our only complaint was that we ordered the ahi cones appetizer which we have had in previous visits. We only received 3 in an order and they were expensive for what they were. We noticed that the table next to us got 4 and there were less people. Kind of petty but it bugged us.
good day to you. I would like to invite you to come back again and I can explain you from how we do the tuna cones and the reason why another table had more than your order is because you can add more to your order as many as you like. There is a charge for it and probably we should have mentioned this to you while we were taking the order. Best Regards. Manuel
Great service. Great food. Great ambience. A pre dinner drink in the bar is a must ( but very $$$)
Lovely room, friendly, proficient staff. Really creative but satisfying
Best food in vail/beaver creek! Great ambiance by the bar with live music. But beware, there’s a crazy tax added in the private community the restaurant sits in
Wow. What an experience. From the valet parking to the famed Ritz Carlton quality. We thoroughly enjoyed our selves. Food choices were very unique and quality was excellent. Everyone should try the cauliflower appetizer.
The only consideration is that the price rating on review sites should have an extra dollar sign... $$$$$... truffles at $10 per ounce? I love mushrooms but come on, really? And a $375 Tomahawk 50oz Ribeye... sure the table could share it but how good can that large of a cut of meat really be?
All that saying. I’ll go back...After I sell a kidney to afford it.
Really though, it was very, very nice and for Valentine’s Day celebration... it was AWSOME.
IMO, overpriced. Good wines on the list were substantially more expensive IMO than at similar establishments. Same cocktail would come different every time. The venison was very gamy.
The food was very good, but it took a long time to get to us.
My wife’s birthday
Great food and service. A little loud but ok. Some drinks were overpriced
The restaurant is very attractive, we’ve eaten at the Ritz many times.
Pros and cons
The restaurant was not very busy but the first table offered was next to the water serving bar, the least desirable table
We settled on a table in the main room.
Our waiter wasn’t looking well and said he had a cold. Poor boy should have been home. We hope no one catches his cold
Appitizer of fois grad was attractive but was mushy, not very good.
Main dish of scallops was barely warm, our guest should have sent it back but we had waited a while to be served and she was hungry.
But cool scallops! And a pricey dish too.
Other guest must have enjoy his dish, he didn’t complain.
My veg plate was very good. Brussel sprouts a bit too burned.
My husband’s venison was tough. He wasn’t pleased.
Your warm bread is delicious
We decided against dessert.
Everyone’s impression was the same, there are several other really good restaurants that serve better food.
The food is delicious and the atmosphere is spectacular!!!
My family of three enjoyed a ski lunch at WYLD at the Ritz Carlton. Food was outstanding — we ordered tuna cones, salmon, mushroom ramen and the burger (which was excellent, albeit $41). The ambience looking out on the mountain is wonderful. But the tab at $175 including gratuity (and no alcohol) was steep even for the Ritz.
The menu was very limited without the entrees that they are well know for, I have eaten far better all over the world for less ! quite overpriced
Xmas day dining with family. This is not our first time at Wyld and although the Ritz @ Bachelor’s gulch is pretty amazing, this restaurant does not make the grade. Food was below average (ie black truffle mac n cheese without any trace of truffle). The service was also below par. The waiter was polite but unable to fulfill our basic requests probably due to the multitude of staffers who appear with parts of one’s request unaware of any specific details ( like who asked for what). Such qualms would be acceptable at a cheaper joint , but not at the Ritz Carlton. Needs work! We told the manager , mid meal, who thanked us but did nothing to enhanse our experience.
It was my first time there, and the food was delicious! The king salmon was so good, it just melted in your mouth! My server Jeff was a real and humble guy when he took our order, he is a good server!. Also our busser Patrick was a down to earth guy as well. The atmosphere of WYLD was elegant, and warm. 10/10!
Fantastic, pricey but worth it if you appreciate fine dining.
The tuna appetizer is phenomenal! Must try!
Amazing experience. From the moment we walked in all our needs we taken care of. We had a drink prior to dinner at the bar and the moment we were done the hostess was there to seat us. Every course was presented in perfect timing and every one was better then the previous. This dinner was the best one I have had in the valley.
We celebrated our 10th anniversary at Wyld and the staff went out of their way to make us feel special. A champagne toast and just incredible service from everyone. And the food was AMAZING. We will definitely be back. Wonderful experience from start to finish.
Really enjoyed the quality service at the bar and in the restaurant. The Ahi Tuna Cones appetizer was recommended by a couple of people, and it did not disappoint. We had a cozy & romantic booth table that we would recommend for a date night!
