Wrigley Mansion - Geordie's Ratings and Reviews
After being seated immediately, we waited a good 10 minutes before anyone came to the table to even bring us some water! We were the only ones in the restaurant at 12:30. the food was just so so. We will return to take the tour, the part of the mansion we saw and the view is beautiful, but will do our eating elsewhere.
Service was OK, very slow, it took them 30 mins to bring us wine, and my pino was literally ice cold. My $35 fillet which I ordered medium, came out cut in half (to check the temp) charred and cooked through, if I didn't have 2 kids with me who endured 1.5 hours of waiting for food and drinks I would have sent it back. It was not good. The side I ordered was supposed to be cauliflower with cheese, when it came out it was literally broccoli with a few shreds of cheese, no seasoning, no flavor, what a waste. The view is great, but what a waste!
I had a waitress that was unattentive and not in professional attire her clothes were not clean and unfortunately she had armpit stains in her white shirt. This is so not like this Thomas meant that I attended. But other than that it was perfect food is always good service is always great other than the this one mishap I've been here many times and this is the only time I've been dissatisfied with service.
What a beautiful and romantic ambience for dinner! We sat outside for dinner overlooking the city lights and the weather was perfect with a slight breeze. The menu offered great options, the service was wonderful, and food was delicious! We walked around the mansion after dinner and that was such a nice way to end the evening.
Their Sunday Brunch is very good, lots of choices and well prepared. I was disappointed that there was no mint jelly or sauce or red currant jelly for the lamb but the waitstaff went out of their way to make up for it. We left the restaurant feeling fat and happy! Every member of staff was courteous and very accommodating. I will not hesitate to return.
The food is sub-par however you cannot get a better wine list or view. I noted that it was a birthday celebration so they seated us near a window overlooking a spectacular view. It was an evening to remember as we took a self-guided tour and landed under the stars overlooking Phoenix.
Wife & I had a SUPERB dining experience. Went there (Geordie's) for our Anniversary. Made Reservations for 5pm - when they open. We pretty-much had the place to ourselves. (Tuesday eve) We were seated at one of the many MASSIVE windows, for our dinner during sunset. Our Server, Megan, was wonderful, as was the rest of the staff, including the guys at the valet parking. Megan was very helpful with our making selections. All our dishes* were prepared perfectly AND wonderfully delicious! Mmmmmmmmm [*Calamari & Lamb chops as appetizers, & we both had the Halibut as main course, & then shared a Vanilla Soufflé to finish ] And what a wine list! (around 50 pages!, check it out on their website) I wish we could afford to do this every week. We WILL be back - maybe next time we'll try the Sunday Brunch. Mmmmmmmmm
Do not be let down. Do not select the mansion for any brunch special event. It is not the service. It's the food, taste and cost. The cost would be justifiable if the food was amazing, it's not. I should of believed the other reviews but didn't. When you leave the brunch you tell yourself 'how sad and I will never be back'.
The ambience and service and waitstaff are fabulous. The views are beautiful from the balcony but the chairs are uncomfortable. They need another 2 cushions behind the back to make them more manageable during a leisurely meal. The food was good but not great Steaks were not very warm when served but they were delicious and the sauces were good (Bernaise, chimichurri, red wine reduction). The lamb chops in chimichurri were excellent but the Caesar salad was not very special. Tomato salad was good. We ordered the pear dessert in a pastry shell which seemed like it should've been served hot but was cold and a bit hard/dry. We are planning to go back many times with friends who visit because the service and setting are delightful. This review is delivered only with the attempt to make it better. We really do love the venue and are looking forward to trying the brunch and happy hours/wine tasting
What an awesome gem for a special lunch or dinner! 5 min. from the Arizona Biltmore Hotel, this historic home sits high above the cities of Phoenix and Scottsdale and provides a breath-taking panoramic view! Add to that ambience the historic aspects of the mansion itself and then top it off with very good food and service at reasonable prices and you have a winner! Highly recommend for Biltmore guests or anyone else in the area!
Elegant yet casual brunch with bottomless mimosas, great views, exceptional service and wonderful food! We cannot wait to return when we are in town again! We enjoyed that we were welcome to take our wine with us after dining to tour the magnificent mansion and take fun photos. Our server and bartender were super friendly and knew a lot about wine!
