Just a spectacular afternoon with great food, imaginative drinks, fun staff and a cool vibe. Thanks, Guys!
One of the best steaks and dining experiences I have had in Southern California and I have been to the best of the best.
We enjoyed the appetizer and drinks than the actual entree. Next time we visit, we may just come back for the drinks and appetizer.
Great food and service, but the price was too high. I highly recommend this place, but save up your money before coming.
This is our third time at Wreckless. My brother and his wife were visiting from Boston. Their meals (fish) were excellent but my wife and I were disappointed at the seafood stew (paella). Scant seafood and a bit dried out. Service excellent. Will still go back but won't order the seafood stew.
New menu and layout are a better fit and clearly closer to home
We’ve been there many times. Typically the food is very good. Unfortunately, on this occasion the food was not to the standards I would expect when paying the price we do for our meals. Their wedge salad is anything BUT a wedge salad. It’s a Caesar salad. The wedge had no blue cheese, no bacon and no iceburg. It was a strange wedge for sure. The sauce used for the bone-in ribeye was not pleasing to the pallet. The Paella was over cooked. Said it came
With sea bass and instead had scallops. The scallops were amazing but the rice dish was over cooked. My son who loves hamburgers and rarely complains, Said his burger was flavorless. So disappointing when you walk out paying over $250 for a disappointing dinner. Would have been better off staying home and saving ourselves a lot of money. Not sure if we’ll be back.
The food was outstanding. The service was excellent. The background music plays so lout its difficult to talk. I've been there twice and had the same experience both times.
Cody is a fantastic chef. We have followed him at multiple restaurants for years. The food was good but we expect more from Cody. The delicious comfort food was missing from the menu. Bring back the biscuits! We'll be back for sure.
Great, friendly service. Unfortunately the food was overpriced and not very good. Wagyu beef was over cooked and over priced. Drinks were great and nice wine selections.
Celebrated a friend's birthday. Loved the artichoke and brussel sprout apps. And loved the Furity Pebble cake which was chef selection for dessert that night.
Wreckless is a hidden gem. We truly enjoyed our overall experience from the charturee board, aged steaks, sea bass, scallops to the desert! Overall pricing is moderate so be prepared. Will definitely go back.
I did enjoy the space and decor. The starter was great, but the main course wasn't something I'd order again for the price.
Food was terrible over cooked ribeye!!!
Overall, our visit was outstanding. Promptly greeted at front on our arrival, taken to our table, which had a "reserved" sign on it, and then promptly greeted by our server asking if he could bring drinks. Throughout the meal, the service was attentive without being overbearing. On the second round of drinks, one of the cocktails was out of alignment from how it was made the 1st time, and it was taken back and put into balance quickly without question. The appetizer of Escargot Toast was simply delightful, and the 120-day Ribeye was quite tasteful and funky. Having said that, the NY steak, while fine, wasn't as spectacular as these other two dishes. Regardless, enjoyable atmosphere, quality service, and tasty food and cocktails - no doubt we'll return for more.
I took my fried for his Birthday on March 22nd. We were debating between, The White house ,The Ranch in Anaheim as well as Vaca in Costa mesa. We couldn't get reservation for Vaca last minute so we decided to give Wreckless a try. The restaurant is actually very nice as far as decor, a little on the fancier side I would say. I liked that all their silverware, glassware and plates are marked with the restaurant logo. We were greeted rather promptly. We were sat toward the back, although most of the restaurant was fairly empty, but no big deal. The menu is not very exciting and there was nothing really in the appetizers that called out to us so we skipped on appetizers and order cocktails, old fashioned, glass of Malbec and I believe I ordered a "Lets get Lit". The "Lets get Lit" comes in a lightbulb with a flashing light, cute I suppose for some, but I did not expect it at such a nice restaurant. Cocktail was not great and I was a little turned off by the lightbulb which seemed more suitable for a college bar than such a nice establishment. We ordered the NY strip, Wagyu and the Filet. Steaks were just ok to be perfectly honest. For the price points I was left a bit disappointed. Service was also just ok, nothing too exceptional. We has told the service staff that we were there for a birthday, but there was no real effort made to make my friend feel like we were there for his birthday. Not even a small desert of any sort. We spent about $300 on our check, which I would have been more satisfied spending it elsewhere as i walked out rather underwhelmed.
Perfect steaks, good service Chilean Sea bass was generous in size and superb flavor (a few bones to work around) the chocolate souffle was worth the wait. Will return to try more of the temptations on the menu.
This was my first time trying Wreckless. The server, Michael, was great, the food was pretty good. We enjoyed the bacon wrapped dates, which were stuffed with some sort of creamy cheese. The cheese was cold and I was expecting a warm appetizer, so this threw me off. Then we enjoyed the chopped Caesar salad, which was good and the house salad, which didn't really have much to it. It had hardly any dressing either. The menu stated it had this & that, but all we had was lettuce with little dressing. The cosmo was not a true cosmo. It was a little too sweet and it was served with a lemon. I really wish places would keep drinks consistent so I get what I expect. Cosmos are supposed to be served with limes. I have, however appreciated a good lemon twist, but the lemon they put is so big, it consumes the top of the glass so you can't feasibly drink from the rim. I did, however, love the large cubes-keeps the drink cold without watering it down. We also had an a amazingly prepared charcuterie platter. I absolutely loved how Michael asked if we wanted more toast with our platter. I can't tell you how many times we run out and the rest of the platter is not as enjoyable. Not here! For our entree, we enjoyed 2 filets prepared differently. The filets ended up in front of the wrong person. Regardless, the rare one was more medium rare. If you order steak here, they tend to cook it more than you ask. Either way, the steak was delicious and melted in our mouths. The filets were about $40 and were only served with 2 baby carrots. As a side, we ordered the Mac and cheese. I can't pass up Mac & cheese from a fine restaurant. This was more of a pesto pasta. Not Mac & cheesy at all, but still good. I'm glad I tried this place, but have spent less money on better food with more than 2 tiny carrots on a $40 8-ounce filet.
Awesome experience and great food/service!
Really slow service with food coming out in different time frames.
It was a perfect night.
Great food, waiter was superbly attentive. No vegetarian entree on the menu, but the chef prepared a solid pasta alternative at our request. We were very pleased with a great experience.
Great food! Though it took a long time (because everything was made fresh) it was SO worth the wait! Best Chilean Sea Bass I’ve ever had! My husband was very pleased with his filet mignon as well. We ordered the bacon wrapped dates which were phenomenal. The grilled Napa cabbage salad is definitely a must, too! And don’t forget the amazing berry cobbler! So glad we gave this place a try.
The collard greens were the best i have ever had! Service was very prompt and spacing between appetizers and entrees was perfect.
Great Service! Large parking garage nearby for self park. Our party had New York steak, Waygu, pork chop, seafood ravioli and duck. All were delicious! Duck dish was light on the duck and too heavy on the Johnnie Cake. We will definitely go there again
Great bar and drink menu! Food was tasty and the ambience has a trendy fun vibe! Would def return!
Extremely impressed and happy with the decision to give this place a try. Incredible food, and wonderful high end atmosphere
Everything was great but the selections for Valentines Day was not a good choice for me and my date.... both menu options could have entailed more variation especially for the cost... Everything else was great..
This place is always great, we come for the great food, scene and employees. Couldn’t ask for more.
We checked in at 6:45p but didn’t get our food till 8:30pm. They were understaffed. My meal and another meal was on the sweet side and one steak was undercooked.
Our server Lauren was great!!!
Was very loud but the food was amazing and made the trip worth it!
Love this place. Never fails to exceed my expectations. Food is great, staff is great. Will definitely be a return customer
Food and drinks were amazing. We ordered the foie dumpling appetizer which was highly recommended on yelp. Chilean sea bass was just falling apart in my mouth. It was so tasty.
Great meal. Yummy dessert!
Our server was phenomenal, the food was decadent and the drinks were exceptional.
Best Restaurant in OC. Foodie Heaven.
Great food/music-felt like a NYC east village restaurant
