We're getting into the summer spirit and bringing the taste of Spain to Wreck (£60pp) THE MENU i : Pan tumaca -traditional sourdough bread, grated vine tomatoes, confit garlic and extra virgin olive oil. ii : Jamón ibérico croquettes, smoked paprika aioli and crispy ibérico ham iii : Pulpo a la gallega, octopus Galician style, soft grilled octopus, steamed ratte potatoes, smoked paprika and Extra virgin olive oil. iv : Beef fillet, patatas panadera, caramelised roscoff onions, Pedro Ximenez sauce v : Basque cheesecake, apricot sauce, macerated clementines

Food was giod and fresh, but the main course was delivered when we had only just started on our appetiser. In a restaurant with this price level I expect to be given time between courses; usually I am even asked „are you ready for your next course?“ I blame poor staff training.

Hi Veronika, Really disappointed to see you wasn't happy with the service. However I have spoken to the server who was in last night and who looked after your table and was informed you ordered Olives and Foccacia, this isn't a Starter in our restaurant, these are just Snacks for the table that often people keep throughout the whole meal. As you had no Starter and went straight to Mains, we brought the Mains over around 20 minutes later when they were cooked. In future we'd be happy to hold off on the Mains until you're ready! We will ensure staff are doing check backs on all tables. Regards, Wreck

We had a lovely family gathering which was further enhanced by a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon service was excellent. Food was wonderful.

I've eaten at Wreck(fish) many times before so I knew we were guaranteed a good lunch but it was my friend's first time. She loved everything, from our window seat, to the cocktails, to the fantastic Sunday roast. She's a coeliac but quickly realised she was in safe hands. The service was warm and knowledgable but never pushy or intrusive - just the right balance. We'll definitely be back.

I have dined at Wreckfish at least twice in the past 12 months & on these occasions I have had a lovely meal so that I was keen to book it up for our wedding anniversary . Unfortunately this time it did not live up to my expectations which was a great pity . The chef in their desire not to overcook my halibut had I feel underdone it but it was my husband”s steak which was a great disappointment . He requested for it to be medium rare but in fact it was barely at all pink & was in fact rather tough so he could not finish it . I have always touted Wreck as making the best chips of any restaurant in Liverpool.Usually they are a deep golden brown with fluffy insides but his were pale yellow & decidedly ordinary . Perhaps the chef was just having an off night. & we may try the restaurant again but it will not be for a while yet .

Family meal on a Friday night. Food on was very high quality without being too fussy. Wine, service and ambiance all superb. Would definitely recommend.
