   A great find. The food was incredible. Wish I had worn an elasticated skirt as I could have tried all the dishes. The staff were very attentive. Would come back.

   Although the food is quite nice it is very expensive and not great value for money. We were seated in the basement, which isn’t great, and after a large party arrived the noise levels were dreadful. The service and staff are very good but having been I don’t think I would return. There are many beautiful restaurants to choose from that offer a more varied menu and greater value for money. I didn’t like that they added a service charge to the bill, although it was optional, but I would have felt uncomfortable asking for it to removed.

   We went for Liverpool Restaurant week and had a really nice time. The deal was great value for money and the food was lovely. The service was amazing we had a young scouse lad with dark hair (we can’t remember his name sorry!) as our waiter and he was great! Definitely would recommend 😁

   Food is really nice and so tasty. The wine ( Viognier ) was lovely. Great service and a lovely little restaurant building. Took my husband as he hadn’t been and he loved every course from the 3 course meal deal. The truffle chips are amazing.

   Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our time at Wreck. We booked in for the Liverpool Restaurant Week, which you make clear via the notes of your booking. So in my notes I said what we were celebrating, asking for the Liverpool Restaurant Week promotion and that my partner was vegan. Although they knew on arrival we were having the LRW promotion, our server was unaware one of us was vegan. There was no vegan option in the starters and desserts on this promotion, and no contingency plan from the restaurant. Our vegan dinner was offered to choose from the vegan and vegetarian menu for the starter and desserts, for what we understood to be a supplement. We were wrong as we were charged the full prix fixe price for the vegan food, which was an extra £30… on top of this we waited a long time for our starters, as they didn’t have enough of the dish prepped. Our server gave us 2 free drinks, which was really kind. We were also given 10% off our bill for having to choose from a much more expensive menu. Overall the welcome to the restaurant wasn’t there, there was no introduction when we sat down, the table was set for 4 people but there was only 2 of us, and the settings stayed there the whole meal, that made the experience feel less refined, the lighting was too bright, all night we overheard other problems at tables with dietaries, forgetting dishes, dishes taking a while. Our server was so lovely and handled every situation so well. We felt like it was an ok night, but disappointing compared to previous visits. There was no elevation, planning or memorability to the experience and everything just felt a bit awkward and underwhelming.

   Very good menu and food excellent. The vegan options were really lovely but not exactly options as there was only one vegan dish for each course. Excellent wine list.

   Food was very good. Bottled water a bit pricey at £7 a bottle. Ambience and surroundings very pleasant.

   Food was great and bacon butty was the best ever. 😋 Service was good. Music and therefore ambiance wasn’t too good though. 😌 would still return especially for the bacon 🥓
