Fabulous spot and the service is outstanding. The Bang Bang Salmon was a new entree this time and it was fantastic. The Charred Cheesecake for dessert was a great finishing touch for the evening.

There is a lot to like about the Worthington Tavern. It is close to home. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The food can be very good and the prices represent a good value. Everything you want in a restaurant. However, operations is critical. Two of the last three times equipment failures have resulted in a limited menu. This is frustrating. Certainly things can happen. We will return, hopefully they will be hitting on all cylinders.

My husband and I went to Worthington Tavern for a date night. We were expecting to have a nice meal, meaning we were already preparing to have multiple courses and some drinks, take our time. We were given a choice with where to sit, since there was some outdoor space still remaining. However, only a high top table was remaining, which is challenging for me because I'm kinda short. So we chose to sit indoors at a lower table. The table was pretty small. I saw other couples who had bigger space, so I think we were just given what they had at the moment. Our waitress was rude. I don't want to exaggerate, but she must have been in a bad mood or something because she didn't even greet us. We ordered drinks, my husband a cocktail and I had a beer, and she never came back once to ask if we wanted a second. She hardly checked on us at all, except to get our food orders. This was one of the few times that I would have ever considered to tip less than 20%. When it was finally time to pay, we weren't given any privacy, and the payment device was set up with tips starting at 20%, so we felt forced to pay that amount. On the positive side - We got the BBQ ribs as an appetizer, which was a great choice. 4 ribs, plus some fried broccoli - it was a good size for 2, maybe 4 could make it a teaser item. They were pretty spicy, definitely the peppers were. For a main dish, my husband had a jambalaya type dish (I can't remember the name of it) and I had the Bang Bang Salmon - both of which were extremely delicious. The food really was perfect. The noise level was very high. It was a Saturday night, so definitely a busy time. For date night, for me, I would have liked it to be a bit quieter. We couldn't hear each other. Besides the food, I was disappointed. I gave them a higher overall rating just because I think somethings can't be avoided. I may have had a better experience with a different table or different waiter/waitress.

We had a great meal, and the staff is exceptional. Overall the evening was very nice. We sat out on the deck where there was a nice breeze. The only negative was that it took about 45 minutes for our order to arrive. However a staff member came to us and apologized. Apparently many customers came at the same time, after a festival nearby. The way it was handled made it a positive experience.

Service was slow but food overall was fine. We got the feta dip which seemed better the first time we had it. Maybe it was sitting out as it wasn’t very hot. My husband’s chicken sandwich was kind of bland too

We keep coming back to Worthington Tavern for the excellent food and creative cocktails. On this visit, we were able to get a sidewalk table on a lovely summer evening, which made for a memorable time. We loved the Piccante Pasta for its delicious vodka sauce

Food and atmosphere was great. Servers were not sure about removing dishes from table in between courses. We had to ask twice to get empty appetizer plates removed, even after main course was served. I am hoping it gets better cause the place has great atmosphere.

Hesitant about their current limited menu we’ve wanted to check the Tavern off our list. So glad we did, what a great interior and patio to enjoy. Food was well above average and we especially enjoyed the asparagus caesar, salmon and fries. Can’t wait to go back for the full menu. Cocktails were perfect!!

I was amazed at the patio. Loved the ambience and the indoor/outdoor space. The food was amazing! Love the eggplant whip app! So good! Service was good and so was the crispy chicken sandwich! We will definitely be back!

Stopped into the Worthington Tavern last night ahead of an event at the MAC. Sat at the bar and grabbed a beer and a pizza for a quick dinner. The beer was a Yellow Springs Brewing IPA called “Boat Show”. I have heard a lot of buzz about this beer but this was my first. Yellow Springs Brewing just announced that they are coming to Columbus (Clintonville), so all the more reason to try this beer. While it is certainly a very good IPA, I’m not sure what all the clamor is about. IMHO, a good but not great IPA. It’s certainly not Bodhi. Just sayin’. But enough about the beer. The pizza I ordered is called the Soppressata. In a word, it was fantastic. Excellent wood fired crust, puffy, charred and delicious. Toppings (meat, cheese and sauce) were well balanced and perfectly cooked. Because it was Happy Hour, the pizza was only $10 (normally $16) and the beer was $4 (normally $8). So, out the door for only $17, including tip, with half the pizza in a to go box for lunch the next day. If there is a better Happy Hour deal in town, I’d love to try it.

Excellent except in one way: the apps came very late. We ate two wings and then the main was delivered. So, the main meal had to sit. Too bad because excellent food, drinks and service otherwise.

The experience tonight rates in my top three worst dinning experiences. We use to rave about Worthington Tavern but tonight it was a catastrophe. We haven’t been there in a few months, last time was in the spring, we didn’t recognize anyone but the bartender and one other. Not sure what is going on but while the food was great the service was atrocious. Not sure what is going on but hopefully it was just a bad night. Will give it another try and see what happens. Maybe it was an extremely off day.

It was a very hot day and the temperature inside did nothing to help. I can’t imagine the poor workers in and out of the kitchen in their uniforms. Please make sure the temperature is comfortable. Otherwise the experience was lovely!

The ambience and service was great, we were most disappointed with the food. I would recommend to go to the bar, but the chef needs time to figure things out. Menu looked great. Steak was an embarrassing, wings tough, pizza undercooked, wedge salad average with dressing mimicking skim milk. My cocktails were awesome.

Service started out strong and then disappeared unfortunately. We asked for extra items after food was dropped off but nothing came for a good 20 minutes. The herbed chicken was the fan favorite of the table, the other three people got the smash burgers - nice and juicy but nothing to write home about. Sitting outside was lovely as always but overall very under whelmed by the visit.

Food was tasty and decent portions. Our server was good and attentive . But this place should redesign their entrance so you are not standing in people’s faces in their booth while waiting for your table. They could easily have one corner in front be a waiting area. Also when having multiple hostesses they should coordinate. We were told our table needed to be cleaned. Two other couples came in after us and other hostesses sat them while we waited because they knew we were “being taken care of”. Seat people who all have reservations for 7pm in order. You can do that with minimal training. Also, craft beers are great but with about 20 draft beers there was not one amber, traditional red, or other that did not have lemon, watermelon, or other citrus or fruit base. It’s ok to carry some more traditional too. This can be a great place with a few small tweaks.
