Word of Mouth Café is a hidden gem of an Edinburgh breakfast and brunch restaurant, situated at 3A Albert Street, just off Leith Walk, 5 minutes' drive or 15 minutes by bus from Waverley station. This popular haunt offers freshly baked goods such as Black Treacle Scone, Lumberjack Cake and lemon tart – all home-baked on site by enthusiastic staff. The Word of Mouth opened in the summer of 2007 and has evolved a unique style, serving good food at competitive prices. The Café offers a different soup every day and freshly-made sandwiches from the deli bar, as well as a range of "pimped" Hot Chocolates and milkshakes including the Oreo cookie milkshake and "The Elvis" which contains Reese's Pieces.
