A stunning location with spectacular food!!!. Only reason I gave service 4 stars instead of 5 is that like most restaurants, they don’t have enough help.
The brunch was very good. We especially loved the egg frittata and the bloomin’ maitake, which was exceptional. Service was great, meal was a bit pricey, but we felt the quality was worth it. Only disappointment, which was considerable, is that we wanted a rooftop dining experience, but it was a sunny day and there is nothing on the outside deck to shield from the sun and so we had to move ourselves inside.
Very good value for the amount of food we got. Love the outdoor seating. It was a bit cold today but i can see it become popular in summer
Having spent a weekend in Chicago with friends, we all concluded that this was our favorite spot. Weather was great so we were able to take advantage of the patio seating. Every plate came out skillfully prepared and presented.
Quickly becoming my favorite.
I had a delicious lunch with a friend on a gorgeous fall day sitting on the WoodWind deck. The views were great, the service excellent and we both had exceptionally good food. I look forward to my next visit.
The food was unique - blend of flavors and textures was one of the best I have ever had. Truly a hidden gem! Sitting outside amidst lights of downtown buildings was fantastic.
It took 3 try’s to bring me an unsweetened ice tea before I settled for a Perrier with a lime. I received a lemon. Never got the drink order correct. Food was average at best with small portion size. The view was nice. I wouldn’t go back with so many other options near by.
We picked this because it was one of the only rooftops with a reservation… best surprise ever!! On top of a hospital we didn’t know what the vibes would be. We sat outside it was quiet and beautiful with lots of plants and flowers and great views. Our server was incredible, we got everything he recommended and we were not disappointed!! Everything is so well thought out at this place. There’s even a nice surprise you get with your check… you’ll have to go to see. 15/10! Will be back
I was SO impressed by the service. Our wait staff was incredible and the sommelier was extremely helpful in picking a delicious wine. While we didn’t eat I will 100% be back to try the food and enjoy the amazing views.
Food was very over priced and low quality
They don’t have martini glasses
Food was great and so were the views! Very little shade on the rooftop so be prepared to sweat it out on a very hot day under the sun. Service was slow and there were a few bees around that were distracting while eating. Heard there was a 3 course lunch menu but they no longer had it the day I was there at lunch time which was disappointing.
Overall, our lunch experience was very enjoyable. The decor was sleek/modern and the place felt new. The inside of the restaurant was roomy, with large windows and lots of light. If you really want to enjoy the views, however, plan to sit outside on the sleek/modern deck. Just be forewarned that the tables are not shaded, so the direct sun can be too hot for some (we moved inside afyer 6 minutes under the bright sun.
The menu was interesting, albeit somewhat limited. My friend enjoyed the ricotta cavatelli, and I highly recommend the pork belly tacos. Prices are not inexpensive, but we felt the cost was generally in line with the overall experience (great views from the 8th floor, a fab deck with outdoor seating, interesting/tasty food, A+ staff overall, including our fab server Kody).
Beautiful setting on the roof deck with amazing city and lake views. Comfortable seating sun or shade. Good food and service. ...............................................................
Oscar was amazing!!
Best in Class Restaurant & Oscar was the BEST!
The chicken and waffles, though beautiful are not so flavorful. Otherwise, the french toast nuggets and chocolate pudding are delicious. Would recommend and eat here again.
Dinner was phenomenal. My co-workers and I are in town for work and found this jewel. Had the prix fix dinner. Phenomenal food. Great wine. Great roof top views. We were so delighted with staff and food.
We had an amazing time. The views were great, the food was astounding. Our server, Eleanor was great. Personable and knowledgeable. She did a great job coursing us out with enough time to reset. Also the rest of the staff did a great job of asking if we needed anything before leaving the table after dropping off our food.
We will definitely be back for a brunch soon!
We both did wish there was a little music out on the patio. Something just to add a little bit of atmosphere to the space.
Delicious cocktails, innovative menu, chickpea fries are delicious. Elinor is an amazing server.
Well crafted interesting food items. The patio setting provides a spectacular view of the city and lake.
Such a beautiful gem in Streeterville! We sat on the rooftop deck and the views were fabulous. The interior is also very nice. Service was excellent and the menu has some unique offerings. The presentation was amazing.
Staff was amazing! Great dishes and wonderful balcony dining!
Family Get Together:
Trip into Chicago to see our son via Amtrak. Booked an early dinner here as it was near Union Station and the cuisine looked amazing on line but was also on the 18th floor near Lake Michigan! Drinks, appetizers, salads and the entrees were all fantastic. But the dessert was sublime! Highly Recommend!
Wonderful food, imaginative cocktails, excellent service, wheelchair friendly !
Food and service is excellent A bit overpriced for portions served. Great views and very accommodating engaging staff
Unique and delicious food, great setting, great service.
Fantastic meal (as always). Great cocktails, food, service, ambiance and view. This is my second visit and tried new items. Had the fresh house ricotta with olive oil & toast, fire roasted carrots with citrus yogurt sauce, seared scallops and blueberry crumble dessert. All were uniquely prepared and just delicious. Got caught up in the meal and forget to take photos util the end...a cotton candy treat!
The outdoor patio was great. It rained, but the staff quickly moved us indoors and it was still a great experience.
Love this place. An upscale hidden gem in the hospital!
Delicious food and unbeatable view. We will definitely be returning!
Omg this was phenomenal! Food delicious! The view is wonderful and service is perfect. Can’t wait to come back
Great food, service, and views. Maybe add a little music to the rooftop for more ambiance
Great overall experience. Server was kind and nice. Food was delicious. Views are spectacular. Would definitely be back
The food was amazing, the service was so nice, the environment was nice and friendly.
We chose to celebrate our anniversary here because they have a rooftop view and parking nearby.
At first this seemed like a nice restaurant with a chill vibe but as the night went on service got worse and worse. Our first drinks came out right away and they were amazing. Definitely order to cosmotique! Our server on the other hand was far from superior compared to the other server at the next table.
My fiance ordered a prix-fixe and I ordered the chicharrón, carrots and scallops. The carrots and hummus were pretty amazing! The chicharrón was pretty good but make sure you have water on hand. The spices will definitely make you sneeze and cough. The scallops was more appetizer size than entree size. For dessert we got the smoke which was smores in a glass and delicious.
Now for service, our food started coming out late compared to the tables that sat down after we order. There was quite a few tables that sat down way after us and finished their meals before we even got our entree. I know we weren't alone in this experience as another table was also waiting a long time for their food. Our server never checked on us to see how everything was nor asked if we wanted another drink or even needed water. He forgot to place our chicharrón and our sides came out with starters instead of entrees.
To make matters even worse we were given the wrong slip for validation so we had to go back to get another one. That one still didn't work so we ended up paying $43 for parking.
I was hoping this place would be decent especially with their price but it was a disappointment. If you choose to go here I would only recommend going for the drinks or the burgers like others have said. We didn't order it but notice it was the only dish coming out quickly.
The lunch service was way too slow. Only one server for all the tables on the rooftop patio. We sat for 15-20 mins before our order was taken. Drinks (non-alcoholic even) took another 10 mins to come out. Just far too long for a business lunch to be viable
The food was amazing. We had the sea scallops and pork belly tacos. Oscar, our server was exceptional! I have food allergies and he had the chef mark a menu on what I could have safely to eat. He finished the meal with cotton candy and a candle for my birthday! We will be back!
Wonderful evening. Loved sitting on the patio. Tables very separated making it nice for Covid issues and conversation. The food was delicious.
We sat outdoors at one of the lounge tables ( cushioned sofas with low table). Comfortable and nice view of sunset and city buildings from this 18th floor vantage point. We didn’t realize that the restaurant is on one of the medical buildings on Northwestern’s campus. Good is tasty and eclectic. We enjoyed most of our selections that we chose off the Prix-fix menu. Probably the best way to go. Avoid the bland corn gazpacho and get the delicious carrots as your starter/side. Good place for people with adventurous or foodie palates. Not for picky eaters. Server was good and receptive of suggestions.
Resturant is beautiful! Amazing staff, beautiful decor. Over all a hit fir sure! Coming back twice more this week!
The food just wasn’t worth the money we spent on it. The chicken on the chicken and waffles was impossibly spicy and my husbands ribs had a weird, gross slaw on top. The portions were also absolutely tiny.
