Best burgers anywhere! Needed comfort food before Thanksgiving. Fantastic. But love other menu items too. Such a lovely view of the city skyline especially with holiday lights on top. A favorite Streeterville restaurant.

Some of the food was really good- the fries and the bacon appetizer. The burger didn’t have a lot of flavor and the pork shank with polenta was lacking salt desperately. The pot de crème had smoked whipped cream that was inedible. The complimentary cotton candy was yummy at the end.

This restaurant is in an unconventional space on the 18th floor of a medical building, but do yourself a favor and go anyway. We got the tasting menu and each course was outstanding; creative and packed with flavor. The service was outstanding and we’ll paced. I’m sorry it took us so long to find it, but we’ll be back…..often!

Outstanding service all around. Drinks made with detail and proper mixology. We had the 40 day dry aged, 40oz tomahawk ribeye medium rare. Cooked to perfection. Tots & caviar appetizer was a great intro for the quality of food to come. Highly recommend Woodwind with at least a window table, if not the rooftop itself.

A lovely find! Came across Woodwind by searching for places near our hotel and booked based on the reviews. The skyline view was a bonus. Service was lovely and they brought dessert after a casual mention of it being my husband’s birthday. He was super happy with how the octopus was cooked. The char sui was amazing. My chicken saltimbocca was good… nothing amazing but not a disappointment. Would return if we find ourselves in Chicago again.

Food was excellent. View of tops of skyline lovely. Service started choppy but became very good. We almost left when we arrived because the noise level from the bar happy hour at 720pm on a Friday night was extremely loud. Took at least an hour for it to calm down. We DO plan to return, but we will check the happy hour plans first.

Our waitress was great - knowledgeable about the menu. Only complaint was my fish was a tad over cooked. It was the Hawaiian snapper on the chef’s specialties menu. It was “crisped” on the outside and that made the fish hard to cut through and that layer adjacent to the “crisped” area a bit over cooked. Once I dug past that, the snapper was flaky and delicious. Not sure if the fish sat under the heat lamps too long or just too long in the broiler. Oysters however were fabulous.

We went to have the Envy the Coconut drink showcased in Whisky Advocate. It came out in a glass and waiter said he never seen it in a coconut. Disappointing. Had the duck and tomahawk steak, that was really good.

We had a lovely dinner with friends at Woodwind. We all chose different entrees and everyone liked what they ordered. The area we sat in was perfect for being able to talk and the service was great. I was pleased that my friends complimented me for finding Woodwind!

I went here with 5 friends and we loved it. We were sat outside and the sun set while we were up there. Great city view! Our server was very charismatic, honest, and attentive. He gave us great recommendations on the menu and in the city. I had the Lily Pad drink and was very nice. We ordered the chickpea fries and the ricotta dip for appetizers and they were our favorite parts of the meal. The sauces and flavors and textures were perfect. I got the octopus entree and it was also fantastic. A couple of my friends got scallops and those were very nice. The scallops came with these fried Parmesan balls that were a little too intense though. Another friend got the short rib and said it was very good. The lobster gnocchi was the least impressive but was still good!
