Woodward Table Ratings and Reviews
This was a very nice place. The food was good but a little pricey what I felt we got. The service was great. The drinks were delicious. It was nice ambiance for a little girls night out dinner. It felt very romantic as well, if you are looking for a date night place.
The bartender made great recommendations and our cocktails were excellent. The Crab cakes were delicious. The rest of the food was good. Our entrees arrived with some of our appetizers and before one of them and it took a long time to get our check even though it didn't seem very busy.
Woodward Table was enjoyable for the reception that we received from our host, Don and the delicious offerings from the menu. My overall rating would have been higher, but the service was lacking. An unacceptable wait for our Server/Waiter, having to refill our own water and wine, and failure to clear our table in a timely manner (before the next dishes arrived) detracted from the overall experience.
This was a fabulous experience for my sister and me. We were welcomed by our host, Don, as if we were family, and he checked on us throughout the evening. Our waiter, Antonio, continued our evening with suggestions about drinks and food.
Because I’m a Georgia girl, pimento cheese is an important staple in my diet, and I was delighted to see it on the menu as an appetizer. It was deeeelicious served with benne crackers and a selection of pickles. It was a perfect start.
For our main, we ordered one of their brick oven pizzas - a margarithea. There appeared to be a snafu in the kitchen (which is open to the dining area), which caused a wait that was probably a little longer than usual, but we were comfortable in our wait. Don checked on us, and when he discovered that we had not received our meal, he went to the kitchen and put the fear of God into the kitchen staff - then delivered the pizza himself with a complimentary glass of wine. The pizza was worth waiting for!!!
Definitely will return to Woodward Table!!!
We celebrated my aunt's birthday at this restaurant. We had the best experience ever. Special thanks to the manager Moises that was making sure we were having a great time. Food was delicious, every dish was done so perfect that my aunt can't stop talking about it. We will definitely go back to this restaurant, and I highly recommend it.
My friend and I made a last-minute reservation after we tried to go to another brunch spot and were told that they only do Summer brunch. We were not disappointed with Woodward Table. We had mimosas, she crab soup and shared an entree and fries. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Our drinks -- waters and mimosas -- weren't left half full. I would go back to Woodward Table and would suggest it to friends.
Fabulous restaurant near Capital in DC location. We went for Brunch before leaving the city. We had the Waffle and Chicken and Parker House rolls with Bloody Marys's and coffee. The best meal for texture, taste, etc. Definetly would highly recommend. The bar area was very nice as well and wished I had come the previous evening. Next time....
I've eaten here before, but never got brunch. Quite the surprise, it was an excellent meal. This isn't to say anything here is ever not good, I had no particular expectations and I was pleasantly surprised. Great food and real portions, I'll definitely be back!
Chicken and waffles was excellent. Coffee was tolerable but not very good. We ordered an appetizer, and when the waiter brought us plates a couple of them were somewhat dirty. It's a minor issue and the waiter happily replaced the plates, but staff should pay more attention to detail (and make sure the dishwasher works well). We sat outside, which was very pleasant.
The male host welcomed us warmly to the restaurant - such a wonderful voice! We are from MN, and he was a Viking fan, too! Our server, a hound man from Guatemala, was excellent, too. The food took a little time to arrive, but it was worth the wait. Parker rolls were super yummy! We had pork shank (so delicious - fell off the bone), steak, hamburger, pizza, lobster mac and cheese and kids cheeseburgers. Our 4 sons, my husband, and I all enjoyed our dinner.
When we arrived for our reservation we requested a nice table because we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The hostesses, waiter and chef responded like we were celebrities. They seated us in a private area and treated us with sparkling wine and a special dessert. The food was very good and the presentation of it was lovely. We will definitely return with friends or family
Aside from an improperly cooked steak, the food at Woodward Table was good. The service however was atrocious. It took over 10 minutes after being seated for a server to approach our table, said server never wrote anything down so she constantly got parts of our order wrong. My steak referenced earlier was the wrong temp both times I tried to have it fixed. Overall not impressed and will not be returning
Table for 1? No problem, the staff makes you feel like you're family. I enjoyed another delicious meal - this time I took advantage of the chef's special fall dinner and it didn't disappoint. Everything from soup to dessert, with wonderful wines to accompany the meal. When I'm in Washington, DC, Woodward Table is one of my reliable, go-to restaurants!
Deciding what to order is always challenging because everything is wonderful. I'm always tempted to order an item I've enjoyed in the past, but then I won't be able to enjoy a "soon to become" favorite. The food quality is surpassed only by service quality. Definitely on my short list of favorite restaurants!
Waiter was dishonest, unhelpful and extremely slow. His lack of professionalism was incredible. Similar bad experience 3 months ago with hostess (she's been replaced since, it looks like). Are the owners or someone else at the top failing as leaders and somehow sending the message to the restaurant staff that substandard service is acceptable? I'll never go back.
I think this is the best restaurant in DC. We have been there twice and were very fortunate to have Antonio as our server. He is the best in the business and makes us feel very special and his recommendations are spot on. We now ask for his section and he flawlessly guides us through the menu and pairs perfect drinks. Such a wonderful dining experience. Thank you, Antonio!
