The “Hot Mess” is a great dish. However the new chef changed the delicious sausage gravy to a gross tasting watery pepper mix that kills the dish. Should change back to a traditional sausage gravy as commonly used with “biscuits and gravy” like the old chef used.

I was very disappointed. The restaurant is very noisy. The special seafood entre was scallops and a spring pea risotto. The scallops were well prepared but the risotto was way too salty. The waitress tried to remove our plates without even asking if we were finished. Then another person came by and started to remove my plate while I was bringing the fork to my mouth, clearly I was still eating.

Go there a lot and it's always great...once or twice I have felt a little ignored at the bar even when it didn't seem all that busy. Otherwise great service and great food.

Staff was great and attentive. Let us take our time after the meal and enjoy our wine. Not pushing us to leave to free up a table.

Great food and perfect walking distance from my office. It's a lifesaver when an important business meeting is needed and I'll have my assistant reserve at a moment's notice.

The tuna was fantastic. It was seasoned and cooked well, and the cauliflower tabbouleh with olives was delicious. I would order this again.

We were in DC for a conference and happened upon this restaurant our first night. We were able to be seated immediately in a cozy spot and the service was very good. I ordered the trout and my husband ordered the mussels with a mushroom side dish. Both entres were delicious. The sauces were light and very flavorful and the fish was moist and delicious. I am generally not a huge fan of mushrooms, but even I thought the mushroom dish was terrific. Our friend joined us in DC two days later and we took him to Woodward table for another great meal. The petit four sampler dessert was lots of fun to eat as it is 9 tiny desserts that we split between us. We would highly recommend thi restaurant.

Great first time experience. Server Nate was wonderful and very knowledgeable of the menu. The peanut soup was amazing. Trout was very nicely cooked and flavorful. Bar service was exceptionally fast. Will definitely go back.

Food was excellent and it's a great restaurant. I've eaten here a few times for business meals. It is great for that without being too expensive. The only downside is that the wait staff seems to give a lot of time in pacing the meal.

We went for brunch for a friends birthday. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The waiter took drink orders and food orders around 12:30 and the appetizer and drinks were delivered by 12:45. We then did not get food until 1:38 (I remember because I was looking at the watch) and not from our waiter. We kept trying to find her because our beverages had not been refilled and the food was delivered by someone else... we did not see her until we finally flagged her down at 12:55 so I could get a spoon to eat my dish. Would not recommend.

Won’t be back. Extremely slow service. Don’t go here hungry, cos you’ll be waiting an awfully long time. We were waiting 1.5 hrs for subpar food. Go elsewhere.

Went to Woodward Table to celebrate a friend's new chapter of life, and had the loveliest time. The service was quick and impeccable, the place was absolutely gorgeous, and the food was truly exceptional. All too often, I've gone into a fancy restaurant in DC, and the food just doesn't seem to measure up; not the case at Woodward Table! Everything was perfect. Thank you for making that day so effortlessly great. I'll definitely be returning.

Came here specifically for the acai bowl and it did not disappoint. Yummy selection of fresh fruit and tasty acai. Nice presentation. I also enjoyed the cappuccino. My mom didn't love the flatbread, which was more like pizza than the light and crispy flatbread you might expect. I'd like to return for the chicken & waffles or pancakes. They looked amazing coming out of the kitchen.

Each time that we’ve been to WT the service has been a little scattered and uneven. This visit was even more so. The restaurant was open for special hours due to the March for Our Lives, and it’s convenient, so they were very busy. That’s all fine, we were there after the March too. But, they were terribly under-staffed. Our waiter was lovely and couldn’t have tried harder, but in the end he has only two feet and two arms. The bus-persons, Everyone worked as hard as they could, but they were overwhelmed. It was hard to watch, and enjoy our meal. The food was okay, the kitchen was frantic as well.
I’ve lived in DC for 30 years, I knew what we were in for with the crowds outside, the restaurant management should have been prepared for the crowd inside. Poorly managed, but kudos to the staff for keeping things afloat.

6 of us had dinner here after a late Sunday afternoon concert at a church on G Street. We had a nice large table way in back so had plenty of space. As the restaurant wasn't even half full the noise level was minimal, which was a refreshing change. Hostess was kind and helpful, as was our server. Two of us had the cauliflower steak , something we'd both always wanted to try.
Server was careful to be sure we knew it was "vegan" since he said some have been confused by the "steak" designation. The cauliflower and its accompaniments were delicious. One of our party thought his item (the rockfish) was dry. Everyone else was pleased. The menu is wide ranging, which makes this restaurant a good choice for groups with a variety of needs - sandwiches/burgers, fish/meat/vegetarian entrees, salads - so though some items may be pricey others are not. I would go back if in that neighborhood again...

Although this place is reviewed as not kid friendly, for an early Sunday dinner it was perfect for our family! Brought a 2 and 7year old and Sunday evening, 6pm dinner wasn’t too crowded so we weren’t bothering anyone. Staff was super kid friendly and kid menu items were great (but big!)

The food was good a, but we were a little packed in and it was freezing.

Service was good and nice. We could hear but it was a bit loud.

I would like to try it for dinner sometime.

Everyone liked the macaroni and cheese and of course the signature parker house rolls.

It got really crowded so I knew the food would be good.

Had a slight miscommunication about the reservation and whether I'd actually been there or not, but it was resolved very easily and professionally.

The cuisine offered here looked good online so I made a solo reservation. It was also close to my hotel. I started with a dozen oysters on the half shell. These Chesapeake oysters were delicious, meaty and large. I didn’t care much for the peppercorn shallot dip but the normal cocktail sauce was good. They served it with oyster crackers which is cute but not very useful if you wanted to have your oyster on a cracker. My next course was a super greens salad which was full of fruit and nicely dressed. It may have been my favorite dish. Next was the 10oz filet. I ordered medium but it came out more medium well. It wasn’t horribly egregious so I didn’t send it back. The meat was tender and well seasoned. The bernaise sauce was also quite good and complimented the meat nicely. I had a side of asparagus which was the special of the night. Pine nuts, bacon and a caramelized balsamic (?) was delicious. I had to restrain myself from licking the plate! I ended with dessert and a latte. The petit four plate with nine confections was wonderful! There were different tastes that all complimented each other. It also wasn’t too much or too heavy. The latte was fine but for $6 I had expected a bigger cup. The service was good all night. They were quick on the refills and took away dishes quickly once I finished. I’d definitely go again.
