It was great
This was an incredible dining experience, from start to finish. Delicious, unique food. Friendly and attentive staff who went out of their way to make my husband’s birthday very special. Thanks for creating a very memorable night!
I had learned about Woodward Table from The Food Network and decided to try it out on a visit to D.C. I was NOT disappointed at all. Every item of food we tried (multiple appetizers, entrees and dessert) were perfection. I had the pimento cheese shrimp and grits while my friends had steaks with varying side dishes. We shared all the items. The specialty rolls are a must -- and are quite addictive. Woodward Table is not as crowded as similar places very near the area and I highly recommend it as an alternative to a place with a long waiting list.
As usual, everything was great. My only complaint is that the lighting was very dim.
Everything was great!
Great place for a lovely dinner date. The food was well-portioned, delicious, and not overcooked. After apps and entrees we were stuffed. The service was fast and pleasant, and the atmosphere was nice and warm. I strongly recommend this place for anyone looking to have a nice, fancy dinner. I hope another reason to go comes soon.
Another wonderful meal! Dinner before the theatre. Staff was very pleasant and chef's cuisine is quite lovely! Everything is displayed so attractively and lots of items to choose from on the menu. Delicious meal!!
Great place with delicious food that never disappoints. Good for a nicer work lunch.
Friends and I had dinner at Woodward Table before seeing a show at National Theater. I got there early and let the hostess know we would be in a bit of a hurry and she told me not to worry. She was right! Even though part of our party was late, they seated us at a great table, our waiter was excellent - noted our need to make the show and was attentive but we never felt rushed. The service is incredible.
The good is great too! I had the rainbow trout - minus the bacon b/c I don't eat pork - and it was delicious. One of my friends tried the burger and raved about it. Some other friends had salads and flatbreads (mushroom and brocollini). Everyone was very happy with their meal.
Plus, you can actually hear the conversation at the table. This place is a gem and I highly recommend. In fact, I am going back tonight for Happy Hour!
Our first visit, and glad for the reservation since the place was very busy. I was particularly pleased with our table near the window out onto 15th st., but most of the tables looked good except for the ones by the door that were not being seated so far as I could see. Service was tops, food was of the comfort variety, but with a nice twist. My fried chops were not too dry, a danger with this style of cooking pork, and my partner's stuffed trout was perfection. I saw a number of tempting beers but as this was a lunch, I try to behave - but it was hard to resist!
We love this restaurant and will plan to return again. There was no indication on the website that they wouldn't have their regular menu due to the Super Bowl, and the service wasn't as good as usual. However, we still enjoyed our dinner and wine and will return when we are in DC.
Excellent service at Bar and Table.
We told the waitress that we were in a hurry because we had theatre tickets and she had our meals to us really fast. We loved the oysters on the half shell, trout, tuna, and Parker House rolls.
Food quality was really excellent. Service was attentive and gave good guidance on choices. Loved cheese plate, crab cakes, Pork shank. Best house salad anywhere.
I visited during Restaurant Week where you pretty much had your choice of selecting off all of their regular menu--only one or two upcharges. I found that welcoming and it enabled me to try different dishes at a fairly reasonable price point. The restaurant is spacious and was relatively quiet on a Sunday evening.
Outstanding Restaurant week brunch. The restaurant allows picks of appetizer and entree from normal menu. The peanut soup was great. The southern fried chicken over waffle with bacon was unique and delicious. Wife's mussels appetizer served the largest meaty mussels we've seen in the DC area. Shrimp and grits entree was delicious.
Our server, Steffen, did an outstanding job helping us pick menu items, keeping us informed of the status of the kitchen preps, etc. Well done to him on a busy Sunday morning.
we went during restaurant week brunch and were very disappointed that everyones food arrived cold. seems that this was another restaurant that let the quality suffer during restaurant week! Appetizer and desert were great but the main course was terrible.
Our table started out very chilly like cooler than it was outside. I think they were cooling down the adjacent group space because as the group arrived our space warmed. The staff also seemed occupied with the group since it took a while to see a waiter and then get our drinks. appetizers came out quickly but then entrees delayed. Not usually a problem but we were missing the opening act of a music show. Dinners were ok but over salted and not hot. We have eaten here before and had really good food so although I was disappointed, I will try again.
It was my first time in DC and my first time in this restaurant. I went there for restaurant week and I was expecting to have a good experience, service took forever, my food was cold and overall I was just not happy. Honestly I wanted to finish my meal and get out of there.
Its very bad when you see the mimosas being mixed up ahead of time in a big container on the bar. It made me wonder what else was done on the cheap. Bad value if you drink mimosas
