What a charming restaurant. The food, atmosphere, service -- everything was wonderful. A very special place to celebrate our anniversary.
The Woods created a great outdoor dining experience for these times. The scallop ceviche and short ribs were particularly delicious. A very good experience overall.

Woods at Lambert's Cove Inn was a wonderful dining experience for us. The setting ~ outdoors and integrated with the beautiful gardens was excellent! The food and service were excellent. It's clear that the chef has taken great care to present interesting and delicious preparation of local produce and ingredients. Service was friendly and attentive. Our server knew when to engage and never intruded.
We had not planned this dinner, but chose the Inn that afternoon becuase it was our last evening on MV and we were looking for something different and memorable. Mission accomplished!
Simply outstanding in every way! The outdoor dining area was by far the most romantic I've ever seen, and the food and service were outstanding!
My wife and I came here on a Saturday night early fall 2020. The outdoor garden is spacious with lots of open air and tables appeared to be at least six feet (if not more than) apart. My wife and I are not gourmet diners by any stretch of the imagination, so coming here was quite a treat. We both had carrot soup, regular salads, vegetable pasta (there's a fancier name for it on the menu) and a brownie dessert. I'm not much of a vegetable soup person so I was not excited for it - but apparently good chefs know how to make good carrot soup. Our service was prompt and the server was nice/very pleasant. For colder weather, there's giant heat lamps. We had one next to us (slough I noticed a few tables didn't have them). The ambiance is superb. The pics on the website show only day time pics. But the lights at night are stunning. We'd certainly come back again.
Wonderful dinner celebrating our 23rd anniversary
The food was amazing, the ambiance was quiet and relaxing. If our review was based solely on that, Woods would get 5 stars. Our issue was that we never received the salads. For the amount we spent on the dinner, it's such a simple thing that should not have been missed. Also, our dinner lasted 2 hours and we were alone in the garden at the end of the night. Several tables around us had customers arrive later and get their food before us.
We recently dined at Woods and given the current concerns with social distancing and protocol we were very comfortable and felt safe. I had the lobster clam cake dinner and it was lovingly prepared with sweet corn and sausage and my scallop ceviche was also fresh and herb infused. My husband enjoyed the clear broth chowder and bass.
The dessert was good a panda citta with blueberries and balsamic ( a little heavy on balsamic). The value was good not great and hence we are giving a four star not a five star rating. Portion size was small.
Nice place, food was satisfactory, but the price was completely out of line. $95 for a four course prix fix meal was twice what it was worth.
Lovely setting in beautiful gardens outdoors, delicious dishes, wonderful, attentive service, and a very romantic evening.
Perhaps because it was after the high season, in September, but the staff seemed quite inept, especially when it came to serving wine. The ambience on the other hand was lovely. Very sophisticated low key vocal music, natural wood decor and lots of windows overlooking lovely gardens, which we could see even at night, due to the lovely lighting. Food was great to fabulous, however, on top of a prix fixe charge of $100, the $10 surcharge for lobster, seemed over the top, when all that was served was less than half of a lobster, just one claw and half the body. Overall, left with a good, but mixed impression.

Our server was gruff, and seemed rushed. Ordered a bottle of wine, and we were served from two left over half bottles of wine without being asked if it was okay, or being allowed to taste first.
The food was excellent... Amazing oysters, perfectly balanced salad,, superb burrata, perfectly done salmon, and a very good short rib.
The decor and sound baffling are very well thought out. Maybe just an off night for the server?
The food came from a few selections on a prix fixe menu. Our group tried almost all the selections and were impressed by all. The service was excellent, attentive but not obtrusive. Finally, there was a disconnect between the wine served and that billed. The staff corrected the billing in our favor with no hesitation. We were very impressed.
The food was very very good, but we didn't know ahead of time it was a Pre Fixe priced menu. It was also quite dark in the restaurant. They would do well to add white "christmas" lights to the trees inside. This was one of the first times we've eaten indoors since Covid- it was spaced apart well, and windows were open throughout for ventilation. It would have been pretty cold that night to sit outside as there were not many heating lamps.

Our entrees were delivered to the table in the middle of our second course. I stated they must be for someone else because only 1 was correct. They insisted it was right and left one. I had to wait 25 minutes for my entree to arrive

The food was absolutely amazing. We sat in the gorgeous garden. The server was possibly the best I’ve ever seen- she completely understood allergy needs and knew all the ingredients on the menu. We had amazing panna cotta, and couldn’t identify a subtle flavor- and she knew it was just a smudge of very good balsamic vinegar on the berries. It’s prix fixe this summer ($100). It is worth it!
the tables on the lawn are so charming during covid. the tables in part of the tent lack ambiance. be sure to know where you’re seated
It felt like drive through fine dining without drive through prices. If I had the choice to choose between lighting $500 on fire or this experience, I’d pick the fire.

There is no warning but eating here is a $95 per person set menu so don't plan to eat there unless you are ready to spend over $150 a head. The food was pretty good but not worth the price. The service seemed to be trying to be very high end but definitely not achieving as we waited for 10 minutes before anybody tried to seat us and felt like we were getting pressured into buying extras as well as asked to wait to order even when we said we were ready. The seating it self was nice as they have tables set up in the garden but it was very dark. I would not go back even if I could afford it.
$95 Pre-Fixe menu the night I went. So budget $130-$150 per person. A mandatory four course meal for two people seemed aggressive in terms of portions. Party of more than 5 next to us were given an accommodation to split the appetizer, salad and mains. Food was worth it. Even the vegan options were exceptional. Felt at times the sell was aggressive. Dont look at wait staff here they come up to you and ask if you have been helped. She came over because I stared, odd interaction.
Lovely outdoor setting for our 5th wedding anniversary with friends. I like the concept of the four course pre- fix menu but I wish there had been more choices and greater explanation on the menu of each item. For the appetizer there were 2 soups and raw oysters. My friends loved the oysters but I don't care for them and really didn't feel like soup on a hot summer night, though one was chilled, and so some other option would have been appreciated, maybe tuna tartar? The salad was small but good though I would have liked more lettuce versus raw vegetable, but the ingredients were fresh and tasty. Three options for the entrees and my friends enjoyed the salmon and steak. The pasta was good, but no parm was offered and it needed it, and green beans were under cooked. We opted to bring our own wine and paid the $30 corkage fee as we had some really special bottles we wanted to drink, this was great and appreciated. Great service too by Benetta!
My family and I love going to farm to table restaurants. This was such a special place between the food, great decor and the alpacas. Our favorite part was the daughter of the owner took us on a special tour of the animals and showed us the games to oaky while we waited for the taxi. This is a very special place for all!
We had a lovely time with a wonderful server. The food was delicious and the English Garden atmosphere was beautiful. We will definitely go again and were so pleased to find this Island gem.

Food was wonderful. They do a great 4 course tasting menu for dinner and all courses were so tasty. We all left saying we would definitely eat there again and speaking about how good the food was. Wait staff was polite, attentive and all around great. We sat outside in the garden, made for a great outdoor dining experience and perfect for the current social distancing regulations, but would have been great even for a ‘regular’ night. Overall great experience.
I think it would be good for the venue to share they only have prefix menu option and it’s a 2hr dining experience minimum with no option for a la carte upon reservation. Other than it’s a lovely spot a bit off beaten path. For dinner dining it would be good to have more lighting on so you can see what you are eating outside.
Everything was absolutely perfect! The outdoor garden and grounds were beautiful. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and the wine. The food was superb—so fresh and clean. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The food is incredible! Everyone in our party of 4 ordered something different. Everyone was oooing and awhhhing over every bite. Went 2x in a week. The ambiance is incredible. The most beautiful setting for dinner on MV.
Beautiful outdoor seating, prix fix menu was delish, service was rough at first but got better as the evening went on. Our waitress was wonderful and very apologetic about the wait.
