   This was the first David Burke experience, for me, that was sub-par. Generally the DB restaurants are incredible experiences, and I want to leave an honest review. I am, however, cautious of leaving a poor review because: 1. This is in the height of a pandemic, in NYC; 2. The wait staff was VERY understaffed; 3. We were seated outside in a makeshift dining area (which was actually very neat/comfortable!). The food selections, I can say, we’re not nearly as clever or appealing as Burke’s other spots, and thus that is likely the only legitimate critique I have about Woodpecker that is not due to the pandemic. Try his other spots first!

   Woodpecker was excellent! The bacon line was the best but all the food was great.

   Food was delicious. Went for lunch and really enjoyed what we ordered. Our server was very friendly. Will return again.
