Woodlands American Grill Ratings and Reviews
Large group of six. Everyone enjoyed their food. I was disappointed that sugar-free syrup wasn’t available and the way the limited amount of syrup was served (in small bowls) was very awkward and messy.
Our waiter was a little too “over-the-top” for our group.
I lived in a neighborhood very close to The Woodlands for a few years without ever trying it. I am glad we finally did. I have only been once, but everything we ate was good, the service was outstanding, and the ambiance is that of a 5 star restaurant downtown, but with a neighborhood feel. The cook delivered the food to our table from the kitchen himself and gave us some free chocolate on the house (that was fantastic). The only downfall for beer drinkers is there is nothing on tap.
I would rate the food very good - nothing truly exceptional but quite good and the service also very good - unobstrusive, relaxed, not trying to up sell, and not the smarmy overly friendly wait staff you find at some restaurants these days. Atmosphere is very pleasant and the noise level not anywhere near as deafening as most restaurants and we could all talk - 4 of us - without shouting! I like this restaurant and have been many times - I will return.
My wife and I had two hours to kill while our son was at a homecoming dance. We booked Woodlands due to its close proximity to the school. We had no expectations walking through the door. Neither one of us did not expect the food and service to be so excellent. Every dish delicious with surprisingly complex flavors. The food, atmosphere, and services were exceptional! Angela was great. We will clearly have to come back, so many great options to choose from.
We went for lunch/brunch on a Saturday. Initially quiet at 11:45 but filled up rapidly with families, couples many of whom seemed like regulars.
Food was diverse with brunch & regular menu.
Something for everyone.
Good place for any type of meal/celebration
Four of us ate here on Friday night. The service was excellent. We had the wedge salad, mixed green salad, pork chop, trout, mahogany chicken and the pasta with chicken. Everything was delicious. We had the nectarine collar for dessert which was also very good. It was a wonderful evening!
