Woodhouse Kitchen + Bar
Went on Valentines weekend. Menu was limited and unfortunately the server did not inform us that they had ran out or some items and there was a substitution. they food was very good, just wished I was informed when we sat down vs when we ordered. Overall it was a good experience.
The menu was very limited. The food was pretty good but portion sizes were small. I always take half of my dinner home and left feeling hungry Our server was just ok- didn’t really smile and wasn’t very engaging.
We love Woodhouse Kitchen and Bar. The food is unique and delicious and it has a great atmosphere. Service can sometimes be a little slow.
Food was good. Service needs a lot of improvement.
No condiments on tables so had to wait a very long time after we got our coffee for cream, salt and pepper after dish was served for 7 minutes, and had to wait for butter after toast came for some time. Also, no jam on plate accompanying the 1 piece of toast.
This was brunch and when we were seated, it was not busy.
I met with three of my good friends for brunch. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. Taylor the waitress was great. The manager was also great.
In 90 minutes, we got a salad and an app and our waiter asked how we were doing exactly zero times. Here’s the story ... 12 minutes after seating, our waiter showed up for the 1st time. My wife ordered a glass of wine. 10 minutes later, our waiter came back for our order. Where’s the wine? we asked. He said he didn’t know where the bartender was but he wasn’t at the bar. We ordered appetizers and a pizza. 33 minutes later, we got our appetizers. 35 minutes after that we left as we still had no pizza. The manager did come over 15 minutes before we left and said our pizza was in the oven and that several to go orders had put them behind. To make matters worse, our waiter walked by us many, many times. He stopped to ask how we were never. Not once. Will never go back.
Food was delicious. Waitress very friendly. Took some time to get our food but it was very good. Drinks were great. We had a family of small children sitting next to us and the parents let the kids bang the silverware on the dishes and glasses, everyone was annoyed . Not the restaurants fault but it was disruptive to our conversation.
Very clean. Would go again and ask to be seated where no children are.
Best food ever. Come to that area a lot. I expect this to be our new regular spot
We had a difficult time finding them partially due to my phone's GPS. The salad was good. No soup was available. My wife's skirt steak was good and came with a huge amount of french fries. She would have liked to have known if there were other options to choose. My burger was good and also with lots of fries. Beer selection was good. They provide a large portion of good bread with dinner with an interesting beet fused spread. This was Friday with two guitarists playing easy listening music. Our waitress was charming and efficient.
One of our new favorite restaurants! We are both foodies and appreciate culinary expertise. Woodhouse has never disappointed. Absolutely delicious!
Menu changes weekly and it is somewhat limited in breadth but what they do have is very tasty and properly prepared.
We came this past Sunday after church and I must say... this a hidden gem.
The Jazz band that was playing was perfect!! They actually could've been a little louder. The tables towards the back couldn't hear the FANTABULOUS band and the beautiful lady singing.
The manager and our waitress were also soft spoken, and very attentive!!
We will be back and try a dinner!!
Oh and I got the crepe with brussel Sprouts and mushrooms and steak...DELICIOUS!! BEST CREPE EVER!
Beautiful interior!! Just overall a wonderful experience!! Thank you!!
Have been there for dinner and brunch..excellent menu. Service.,music is great!
Love, love, love, this place. Every time we go here it's better than the last time. We tried the pizza and the 22 inch is just HUGE! the crust it wonderful - just chewy enough and crisp on the edges. The sausage and pepperoni are delicious. We had the perogies again and they did not disappoint. The bartender was fun as were the other guests at the bar. They also had some great jazz in the background.
Food was excellent. I'll definitely be back.
There was a confusion with our reservation even thogh we were seated. We shared the zbek tandoori ead with beet butter and it was delicious. I had the vegetarian choice, chickpeas, potatoes etc in coconut milk which was quite tasty. My husband had a fantastic leg of lamb.
It took us an hour to get our appetizers and then another 30 minutes for our main course. The Pork Schnitzel did not have much flavor and overall was rather blah.
What an exceptional meal tonight....starting with first course...through dessert. The skirt steak was amazing!!!!
Perfect dirty martini. Can’t wait to go back!
What a great find! Went there on a Saturday evening for dinner when they had entertainment which made the dinner very enjoyable. Food was very good... fish was flaky and moist, the pierogi outstanding. Good wine list.
Only issue was that after dinner they start playing awful Russian pop music
Phenomenal. Top to bottom. The food was inspired, balanced and delicious. The portions were generous. The ambiance is calming and intimate, but modern and classic at the same time. We will definitely be back. Often.
We had a reservation but there was a mixup and we ended up waiting even though it was practically empty. It did fill up during dinner.
Although the food was very good, the restaurant in general needs to be better managed. We arrived at 8PM for an 8:15 Open Table reservation. The restaurant was more than half empty but we were told we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. The service was VERY slow and we were at the restaurant for over an hour before we had our meals in front of us and then 20 minutes to get a piece of cheesecake after dinner. During the meal it was VERY loud and a group of young boys (about 12 of them) who knew the manager kept running yelling past our table to see a friend (I presume the manager's son) Overall, not a pleasant experience. Too bad because the German cuisine was well prepared!
Overall it was a great experience. A little pricey, but food was delicious. Will definitely go back.
Great vibe. Delicious beet butter and bread. Everyone enjoyed their meals and our time together. The Vegetarian was hot with fresh, layered flavors. My wife loved her burger as well. We’ll be back.
I’ve recommended it to everyone I’ve spoken to since we left there last weekend. It was one of the best meals I’ve ever had and I’m so happy we found it. We will be back for sure (I’ve got plans to come with friends this coming weekend!)
So I really wanted to give 4.5 stars if I could, but gave 5 based on the amazing Skirt Steak I ordered. The reason I would take off half a star was the selection on the menu. I guess it's somewhat "rotating", so the menu you view online, is not necessarily what they are serving the day you dine. When looking online, I had my eye on one of the many flatbread pizzas they offered, and the Saturday we went, they didn't have them. I couldn't understand why flatbread pizza was rotating. Seems like something so simple to keep on the menu. My fear is that next time I go, what I liked will be gone. There isn't a huge selection on the menu, and I felt a little limited. We ordered the house bread with beet butter which was awesome, and my Skirt Steak was great. Never tasted any steak quite so tender and yummy with a nice mushroom sauce. The beer selection was pretty good. I'm a dark beer drinker, and they have a couple stouts, and the usual Guinness. The restaurant was dead. I felt bad for them. On a Saturday night, at 6pm, I assumed it would be packed. I think it's tucked away in an odd location (It's the old Bob Evans), and most people don't know it's there. I loved the decor, and atmosphere. They even had live music playing on a small stage. It felt upscale, yet casual. This was a great place to eat on our way to Kings Island Winterfest. I would definitely eat here again, and take my chances with what might be on that nights menu.
The food and service were great
They had a live jazz band that played a lot of jazz classics from 50's. The band was great. Manager told us you had to have a reservation or the wait could be long due to staffing. Thanks Open Table.
Food was excellent - salad and scallops.
The bread served is one of the best at a restaurant.
Great place for Sunday brunch. We will have to try dinner sometime. Beautiful place with yummy food!!
Food and drinks were excellent
Service was slow but I think they were short handed
Live music was very nice on a Sunday morning
While food was inventive, it seemed a little pricey. Ordered a shrimp and chorizo omelet with no sides for $14.95 plus a bloody mary and with tip, this brunch cost me $30.
Food was actually very good, service was poor however, waiter asked about additional drinks, took my husbands order and as I was about to order, turned around and walked away! Food was brought for 2 of our 4 and then the other 2 orders were brought 5 minutes later. Band was playing and was too loud, complained and they did turn it down, but we're sure that it became louder again, we couldn't talk at our table and hear the conversation. Nice inside, could be a great place, I'm sure it is having teething problems....would try it again, as I say food was good!
The food was great, but wish the serving sizes were a little larger. I would have given give stars, but it was a little slow the night we were there. We had a party of six. It took a long time for the food to come out.
My family and I really loved our first trip to the Woodhouse Kitchen & Bar! We love the Ambiance love the food and the service was exceptional.
Went for the Sunday Brunch and was happy to see a 3-piece jazz ensemble playing. The food was well-prepared and the staff seemed very happy to see us. We will be back!
Fantastic food. Fantastic environment. Fantastic live music. Only negative was the lengthly time it took to get our meals, particularly considering how slow it was. Otherwise, great experience and we will return.
Our waiter Ben does an incredible job every time we dine at Woodhouse.
We really want to like this restaurant as we would prefer to support our local establishments. This is our second trip here and unfortunately it will probably be the last. Their menu doesn’t offer much variety, my husbands salad was not what he expected so he didn’t eat at all, my burger was good but that’s about it. The waiter was just okay. Disappeared for long amounts of time. We did enjoy the live music.
Food is good but way over priced. It is sort of a fancy Longhorns
