It was the first time my kids (17 & 18) have joined me at, what would be considered a nicer restaurant here in town. As the director for Dowtown Partners, they humor me consistently by coming to the latest and greatest thing we’ve got going on. So when they loved the food, the company and the epic awesomeness of the place, it was a mom-win🙌
The food was good-happy to see the new menu. We were sat along the wall of booths and it was very dark and difficult because every server walked by your back. There were many table open we should have asked to be moved otherwise great meal.
Beautiful space and very clean! Hostess and waiter were sweet.
But wait...
Inattentive bar staff, not greeted once seated at the bar, difficult to pay our bar tab.
Once seated at our table, our server did a nice job of communicating. He handled himself well as he was the only server and one wait staff!!!
Hard bread was brought to our table with flavorless olive oil and no appetizer plates. Appetizer brought out...again no plates.
Had to check with bar staff for additional drinks. Wine selection less than mediocre. I expect higher quality wines and appetizer selections for the price. Waiter and server did keep our waters full.
Main entree mediocre. Brussels sprouts were good and I’m pretty sure the garlic mashed potatoes were of the instant variety and watered down. For the price per entree, we expected a lot more and better quality.
Desserts were very good. We had the chocolate lava cakes and creme brûlée.
Overall, very disappointed with quality of food, food options, wine selections, overall prices, and inattentive bar staff.
Happy with the ambiance, our waiter and the desserts were delicious.
It’s obvious the steakhouse is wanting a certain clientele to dine at Woodbury’s, however several improvements need to be made for said clientele to return. Thank you.
Exquisite food with fantastic service! The ambiance was just amazing!! Beautiful hotel!
Lovely! First week with new menu/ala carte so a little bumpy. Overall great. Servers learning- give them a break. Halibut excellent. The Twin Bing mousse is highly recommended and I HATE twin bings but the server made me try and it was outstanding. I will order again. The view from the future rooftop bar is really amazing. I felt like I was in a much more metro setting and that is hard to do in Siouxland. Give it a try!
Great new venue in Sioux City for a great meal in a wonderful restored hotel downtown. Great food with alot of variety on the menu. Good customer service. They make you feel special.
Great place! Service & food excellent!! A little spendy BUT it was a great choice to go on a special occasion.
Delicious Brunch! Attentive staff! Beautiful venue!! So happy to have The Warrior and Woodbury’s as an option in our community!
Food was excellent but it was too loud to hold a conversation.
Food and service were excellent. I encourage anyone in Siouxland to check it out.
Most disgusting food. Sauces and chorizo taste like it’s out of a can and wine selection is terrible.
Everything was fabulous from start to finish! Our server was new but she was very kind and knowledgeable. She was there at the right times, but not too much. She will be a great asset to the team. Food was phenomenal! I had the mussels, Caesar salad, scallops, and the creme brûlée. Fiancé had tuna, Caesar salad, walleye, and creme brûlée. I don’t think you could’ve improved on any dishes. We were both very impressed with the walleye. We figured it would be good but we were blown away by it! Thanks for the wonderful dinner! I should also mention the manager stopped by and chatted for a bit. We enjoyed the conversation! He was great!
