We had a wonderful meal and experience. The ahi tuna was perfect. The Ribeye was very tender and flavorful.
We dine there often , each time perfection . Menu presentation - the best , view each item then choose your selection - each delicious . Servers polite , friendly , always helpful . Pleasant atmosphere in a newly restored Art Deco Grand Hotel . It is absolutely an Awesome dining experience . Go there !
The Rooftop bartender lacked customer service skills. The ambiance and the service in the steakhouse was great. The food was terrible. The ingredients needed to be fresh and the chef needs training. The food was very poor quality and very overpriced.
Service and food were excellent. Host shared a lot about the renovations of the Warrior and encouraged us to check out the ballroom and rooftop areas.
It was nice food was pretty good and service was average (very slow)
It was great!
Food was excellent and service was good except a few items that were delivered incorrectly. Long wait for entrees, almost 1.5 hours. Servers were knowledgeable and very courteous throughout the entire experience. Would recommend if you are looking for a higher end steakhouse and have time to dine for 3 hours.
Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The service and presentation of food and drinks was impeccable! We had a wonderful dining experience.
We celebrated our anniversary last evening and had a great experience. Red wine choices are limited but the bottle we ordered was great. We had the halibut and the 14 oz steak and it was cooked perfectly. The waitress was very efficient and we enjoyed wine before ordering our meal and that was no problem. They even sent a dessert home with us as an anniversary remembrance. We had a very enjoyable evening.
Great place with amazing food and friendly staff
I had to fun someone to seat us, then waited for the table to be cleaned. The food was good, not a huge variety. The price was right for what we got. Not sure I would go back.
We returned for Sunday brunch only to find that it is now a breakfast “buffet”. No longer are menu items made fresh to order.
The buffet consisted of three chafing dishes of scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon and sausage. Danish pastry, yogurt, fruit, cereal and milk were also placed on the single table set against the wall. The spread reminded me of breakfast offerings included with a stay at the Best Western.
The service was poor. The restaurant was busier than we have seen previously! For $11 per person, we had to request plates, silverware, coffee refills, condiments and then wait for the server to eventually return. Reused utensils at the buffet were caked with cheese and eggs.
It is a shame that such a beautiful and elegant setting has stooped to the level of self-serve breakfast often offered complimentary with a hotel stay.
We will not be back for brunch.
For the price, the potatoes were cold. Took 20 minutes to get steak sauce...forever to get food on a slow night. Server was slow and not well trained. Expected much more for a $58 meal. Probably won't return, but the restaurant is nice.
Excellent atmosphere and food. They were a little short staffed so service was slow, but isn’t that the case almost everywhere right now. Staff was pleasant
The Food was bland at best, it was a thanks giving meal that didn’t taste like anyone had even tried to make it have flavor, very small portions, house salad was basically olive oil it seemed! For $30 a plate we had high expectations instead we got Hawkeye Vodka Quality type of meal! Bummer at best!
Riley our server is just the best
We had an amazing experience! Food was one of the best meals I have ever had. Everyone was so pleasant and attentive. Such a beautiful place. We really loved it and would highly recommend it here. No place like it in Siouxland.
My friends birthday! We had a wonderful time ! Our sever was awesome ! Then went to the rooftop !
Great food and great service.
First checking in for reservation the Server asked name and said it would be couple minutes for table so I told him we would be at bar. 15 minutes later I asked him how it was coming and he forgot to even check us in. Waited at table for 15 minutes before being helped then finally we were helped ordered our drinks and food. Our food was delivered before our drinks then as we are cutting our steaks he asks us if we want dessert! My husband told him I wouldn't know I just started eating then the server says well I'll bring your check then and take as long as you like! We hadn't even had more than one bite-really bad serving. The food was excellent! We will be back but to be forgotten about then rushed out the door didn't sit well-We will try again though
Ate on a Tuesday night , not very busy, obviously working on staffing problems in the kitchen, Server /waitress was top drawer, she was pleasant, attentive and helpful ,but if it isn't there to serve she can't serve it!
Menu is good but some what limited to about 8 entrees?
Would not recommend at this time. Had a much more pleasant experience at the roof top bar for drinks and appetizers, but it was not open the night we ate at Woodbury's?
We had a great time ! All was fantastic
What a wonderful restaurant and dinner. We came into town for a performance at the Orpheum down the street and arrived early to try Woodbury's. We had a wonderful experience. Andy greeted us, took us to our table and chatted with us a short while we settled in; a very funny guy. Kaitlin (Caitlin?) our server was over quickly for our drink order and understand our schedule for the evening.
The appetizers were perfect in size and perfectly done. We skipped soup and salad to assure we would have room for dinner since we couldn't take leftovers with us, and a good choice. My wife's medium rare 8oz filet was done perfectly and my Ahi on a bed of lobster rice (chunks of lobster included) were delicious and just the right size. The 3 Degree bottle they suggested was excellent, and Andy's suggestion to decant it made it drinkable very quickly.
Next time we are in Sioux City we are making Woodbury's our go-to restaurant!
It was fantastic. The menus were fun and easy to use. Food was wonderful!
Staff are all extraordinarily friendly / helpful and welcome to customer feedback and requests . We had a special request for an item not on the menu and they happily obliged and with accompanying taste suggestions . The interior architecture is a stunning trip back to the 1920s Arts & Crafts Deco Glamour . The ambiance is cheerful subdued quiet - even with a large High School Prom event in an adjacent banquet area ( an experience First for us ! ) . The Wine and Beverage menu is extensive and First Class ! We ordered four different menu options and we all agreed that each and their accompanying sides were exquisitely presented , plentiful , and absolutely delicious . The Dessert menu looked very appealing but each of us were far too satiated to order from it . We will happily return - MANY times !!!
Service was extremely slow. Our drinks from the bar took 30 minutes and the waitress forgot our appetizer. The waitress told us 3 times she was bringing us bread. We never received it. We ordered a second drink. After waiting 25 min for it we finally just canceled it
My guest and I were doing a cross country drive and got into Sioux City a bit late. Woodbury was still accepting reservations so went there. The entrance to the restaurant has an large attractive bar. Servers were wearing masks which we appreciated. The table tops were oddly thin and napkins too satiny to absorb anything. Limited wine menu for a steakhouse. We ordered a bottle of a red blend called Z Alexander Brown. Tasty and full bodied. Our server struggled to open it which I attribute to inadequate training. We decided to share the romaine salad. The server was nice enough to add several anchovies for us. Lettuce in perfect shape and salad large enough to share. I ordered the small filet rare. It came nicely spiced and seared but was closer to medium than rare. My guest had the Walleye and loved it. However, the asparagus on her plate was awful. Bad taste and pale grayish green color. We got a side order of the broccolini. Looked better than it tasted. Dry and didn’t arrive hot. May have sat somewhere too long. Bread service ok but expected better bread from steak house with these prices. Final little thing, water pitchers made to prevent too much ice coming out too fast, but servers need to be taught how to dispense from side of the rim.
Celebrated my husband's and son's birthday. Had a group of 8. Our waiter AJ did a phenomenal job!! Can't thank him enough! Also the food was excellent. We all ordered different entrees and everyone's was excellent!
Great food and service. We really enjoyed the back booth.
Food was fantastic, the dining room was beautiful, and the service was great. After dinner we went up to the rooftop bar for a view that was incredible, this made our 31st Anniversary very special!
Restaurant is nice and staff was friendly. Food was mediocre and did not leave me wanting to go back. For how much you pay there are better options in Sioux City.
The hotel and ambiance was beautiful. Cole our waiter was awesome. Unfortunately the complimentary bread had no flavor and tasted terrible. The food was just ok compared to other fine dining in Sioux City. The loaded baked potato was smothered in a pound of salt we had to scrape off. My husband's New York Strip was grisly and chewy. The lobster mac n cheese was super fishy tasting so tasted like imitation lobster instead of real. We are glad we tried it for our Anniversary but likely would not return.
Outstanding food and service. My Wife’s steak was cooked to perfection and my Halibut was excellent. Highly recommended
I don't know what to say...We were in our car and on the way to the restaurant when I received a text from the restaurant saying that due to lack of staff, they would not be open or serving food that day. I have heard that the brunch is delicious and would like to try it another time. Do not pay any attention to my ratings, I had to click on something to get to write a review. Their situation that day was not their fault. Some people get paid more money to stay home than if they had a job. Unfortunately, it is the same in restaurants and businesses across America. People don't need to work because the government pays them to stay home. When a family of 4 can make $100,000 a year to stay home (New York), why would anyone want to leave there house to work!! Every day is a Saturday for them. I hope our nation gets a wake up call soon and that the steak house and other small businesses do not have to close.
Offering free champagne or dessert was a nice surprise that the restaurant offered for our anniversary. This was our first visit. Unfortunately we felt the food overall was just average.
It was goid experience. Service improved; however, servers seem to have hard time to coordinate.
There was a large wedding going on so they were extremely busy. This caused extreme wait times for both drinks and food. Then when it came time to pay the bill, the computer had gone down and it wouldn’t take a credit card, luckily we had enough cash to take care of it.
Our waitress was very attentive and friendly.
After dinner we tried the Rooftop Bar but were turned away due to overcrowding. We will go back again when it is less crowded. The food was excellent.
I believe last nights problems were due to a lack of preparedness for such a large event and a lack of help.
We love Woodbury’s. The food is imaginative and delicious, great cocktails, service is outstanding!
