Woodberry Kitchen offers consistently good service and well prepared, seasonal fare, at a reasonable price. It has become, for my wife and me, one of our go-to Baltimore restaurants.
Everything was excellent - as always.
We came for brunch on Sunday to celebrate our daughter’s birthday, I had the Turkish Eggs and they were so yummy! The Farmers Daughter cocktail was delish ♥️ we have been waiting for years to try the CMP sundae...... best ever!
Great food! Loved the patio eating and non alcoholic drink selection
We went here for brunch on our way out of town. We waited a while to be seated and the service was very slow. It took 20 minutes to get drinks and over an hour for food. The restaurant wasn’t overly crowded. The servers crowded together and talked the whole time. They forgot a side of toast and it took 15 minutes to finally get it. The food was just okay and the menu is a little out there for brunch. Decent experience but probably won’t be back.
Very slow service.
I was really looking forward to this restaurant based on a few recommendations from friends. However, once I got there I was sorely disappointed. It was so crowded when we arrived we had to stand either in the middle of the narrow walkway between the bar and hostess station or stand up against people seated at the bar. Once we found a seat at the bar, the bartender did serve us quickly but he recommended the most expensive wine on the list.
We got sat at a high top outside which was not comfortable because the chairs are wooden stools with no backs. We were not greeted for at least 8 minutes. The food that we ordered was fine, nothing wrong with it, but nothing was extraordinary. Don't order the watermelon because it is wedges of watermelon with 2 little pieces of torn basil on top, the description was much more ornate of salt and lime and basil, etc.
Woodberry Kitchen is overrated, I have been to many other restaurants better than this one.
The food and service was very very good. We will be back soon. Thank you Woodberry kitchen for a wonderful dinner.
Woodberry Kitchen has a delicious, fresh , and original menu. The staff is friendly and helpful at every turn. The wine list and cocktail list is wonderful! So many choices, but so much money! I do love their handcrafted cocktails-original and expertly created, but up to $16 a serving is too much for this laid back farm to table restaurant. Half of our bill was for two drinks and two glasses of wine. We were celebrating a promotion, so we went for it. One gripe about nickle and diming - I wanted the pinot noir rose, our server thought they were out of that rose so they offered a taste of the other two roses available. They offered and I was charged for the tasting. The waiter did not mention the charge when they offered to help me choose. It was only $2 but, charging for a tasting? And I didn't even take more than a taste from each! Please don't nickle and dime us when you are charging top dollar for drinks. Actually, don't charge for tasting, ever. The memory of the charge overshadows everything else from the evening. It turned my date off to Woodberry completely.
We loved the artistic and tasteful food, drinks, and atmosphere at Woodberry Kitchen. We did have to wait for an unusually long time to get our entrees, but the manager came to us and explained there was a delay. Also, there were a couple of items on the menu, specifically the clam flatbread, which were not what we expected based on the menu. The patio area had a great ambiance but there were a significant number of gnats around the tables. These issues were all minor, and overall we had a great experience!
We were there right as they opened up & it took a little while to get food, but once it arrived, it was WELL worth the wait. A fantastic way to spend our anniversary!
Took my college daughter to dinner there and the place was wonderful. Great food, cocktails, and vibe.
Awesome!! Every single bite !!
Good food, good service, always a pleasure.
great food...creative menu...wonderful service. We drive up from Northern Va once or twice a year and Woodberry Kitchen never disappoints.
Everything was great, except for the dessert. That was disappointing. We asked for a table someplace quiet because it can get loud. They put us on the second floor which was perfect.
We enjoyed the food immensely - it was awesome - but our service was a comedy of errors. No silverware, forgotten appetizers, delay on drinks, huge wait for entrees, and check sat for a long time before being picked up. Would definitely return, but I expect better service, even on busy Saturday night. Other tables seemed to not have the issues we had.
An establishment that feels like it's lost a step. What made it great was a sense that it was on top of its game under pressure and delivered. This most recent experience on a Saturday night was not that. End to end, the entire visit was stilted, poorly orchestrated and proceeded in fits and hitches. Seating was delayed despite a reservation and showing up early. No bread delivered to the table after ordering; ended up asking for after receiving apps, which were delayed. Appetizers - popcorn bring back Black Ankle. All in about $175 with tip and taxes. Not sure I'd go again to pay that much for food that was only better than average and service that wasn't ready to go. In general staff felt harried, unhappy, and weary. Seems like a sign that there's a bigger underlying issue.
We always love our visits to Woodberry. The food is wonderful and the atmosphere is fun and laid back. This time our server went above and beyond! Very knowledgeable and full of amazing recommendations. I wish I remembered her name.
Overall great dining experience! The outdoor seating was very nice. Glad we were able to sit outside on a nice day as it did get pretty loud inside during the dinner rush. The chicken liver pâté and the crab cake...amazing! Would go back again since they use local ingredients!
60th anniversary for parents and family...great time!
I loved our time at Woodberry. Our host was super gracious and accommodating to both give us time to change (birthday weekend, we had just come from running) and to sit al fresco while the September weather was still beautiful. Our server was INCREDIBLY knowledgeable about the balance and composition of the food, without being afraid to tell us what was silly and what was name only. It made us feel cared for, assisted, and a deep feeling of connection (it was so cool to know our server was just as much of a foodie as we were)! Late summer flies were in full swing, so everyone rallied immediately to offer little glasses of vinegar to deter them and the food recommendations were good. Portion sizes: smaller than you think they’re going to be but order 5-6 to share for 2 people and it’ll be just enough to satiate you, room for dessert. Thank you, Woodberry Staff!
Wait staff was exceptionally versed in the local farm to table ingredients that comprised the wonderful dishes from the menu. The explanation of the origin of the fish pepper exemplified the knowledge of the local ingredients
One of the best food experiences I have ever encountered.
Our meal took over an hour to come. As a compensation the manager brought us flatbread that was partly burnt. Ee accepted it because we were hungry thinking we’d eat the parts that weren’t burnt, but every part tasted burnt. We sent it back. Couldn’t eat that. The dish we ordered was cold, we didn’t finish it. By then we were angry and left. The bartender was very nice.
We’ve eaten there before and was great. Tonite it was a bad experience.
I waited a number of years to finally dine at Woodberry. It was not exactly what I expected. I think for the amount of food that you get it is very overpriced especially the wine. The noise level was Too loud for my taste. Well I return? Probably not
Excellent good and service. Open floor plan which creates a loud environment. They could place more sound deadening materials to help compensate for that without affecting the ambiance. Love it.
The. Corn and carrots were spectacular. The whole bass was amazing. Overall a great dining experience.
Hands down the best restaurant in Baltimore. Never once had I tried a bad dish here. The menu changes often and everything is ridiculously delicious
The food was great --- AND the server made the experience extra special.
Truly phenomenal drinks, dinner, and dessert. Perfect weather for us to eat outside. Service was incredible. No surprise though, I have only ever had fantastic experiences at Woodberry Kitchen. But I always forget to pick up their Snake Oil and homemade jam on my way out!
We arrived a little after 5 and practically had the entire dinning hall to ourselves. The food was quite exquisite - my mom describe it as such; and the service was welcoming and friendly. I love that you can fill up on small sharable plates and then still have room for desert!
They are simply great at everything they do.It’s a tad on the pricey side, but if you’re only going there a couple times a year,it’s well worth it.
Another fantastic dinner here at Woodberry! Celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary and couldn't have been more pleased with our entire dining experience...thank you!!!
An amazing meal and a great experience.
Brunch dishes varied from traditional favorites to unique. Ingredients we're local and too quality. The outstanding characteristic of the restaurant was that, for every dish (even something as simple as scrambled eggs), we could not think of anything that would have improved them. They were perfectly seasoned and prepared.
Amazing brunch experience!!
It was yummy n great as usual! Your chairs are the only feature we don’t care for.
Let me start by saying WOW! This place was amazing! The atmosphere was beautiful, we sat outside on a perfect summer evening. The waitress was helpful and knowledgeable and just an all around kind person, she was able to answer any questions we had, and also gave us some great recommendations. The food...whew.. it was seasoned perfectly; great portions and beautifully presented. I will definitely be going back there.
The environment was great.
The morning flatbread was good as a solid brunch. The crab pot was okay.
