My wife is Russian and still learning English. She accidentally ordered her steak rare when she meant well done. The staff was friendly and polite, they quickly corrected the mistake even though it was our fault. Great service!
The food and service were both excellent!
Been here a number of times - was one of the first restaurants I went to in Baltimore and I loved that initial experience. With that said, I just don't feel the same about it and probably won't return. It is grossly expensive for what you get. Example - I ordered the soup and when the brought the bowl over I thought they had to be kidding - it didn't even cover the spoon and it was $15. Service was spotty and I felt like we had to keep flagging our waitress down when we needed something. Food just isn't that special to justify the price. I feel like there is too much of an attitude. Too bad really.
Wonderful meal in a beautiful location.
We had an outstanding meal and service was excellent. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list. We will return soon.
Delicious brunch. Lots of great gluten free options. Great staff.
Our server was phenomenal. Very knowlegable kind, and patient with our questions. Food was great, as expected (had never been here for brunch before). Coffee was amazing as well. Host staff was friendly. Good experience all around.
Amazing service, creative, but limited menu, great wine list, and the firepit outside after dinner was the perfect ending with an after dinner drink and even lap blankets!
This is a fabulous restaurant....all food is locally sourced and as fresh as any I have ever had. While I am not a foodie, I really loved WK and will come back. The food was delicious and the service was personal and impeccable...prices are reasonable and I did not feel as if we were ripped off....this was a very good value and experience all around. I can see why it's difficult to get reservations at WK.
Beautiful space both indoors and out. If you sit inside, choose upstairs seating, but if it's a nice day, outside is lovely. You can even order at the bar and sit by the fire pit but then you're on your own. Table service was slow but gracious; bar service was rude. The food was excellent, delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Would recommend.
We love Woodberry- this trip unfortunately wasn’t a great example of why.
Disappointed. i have very high expectations of Woodberry kitchen. I was excited to try it for brunch. But the meals were expensive, and the food was not great.
I always have a great time when I come through. Love what they did to the place. Keep up the great work!
Very good food (simple things). Very friendly but somewhat disorganized and slow service--admittedly outside, so that may slow things down.
Our food was great but the service was a bit slow.
As always, this place lives up to my opinion of being the best restaurant in Baltimore. The staff, food, ambience and overall experience never disappoint- nay, they never fail to knock your socks off. If you're looking for everything you'd hope for in a dining experience, then Woodberry Kitchen is the best place to find it in Baltimore. I applaud the owners and staff for their level of dedication and attention to make every visit a magical experience 💙.
Great appetizers. Great cocktails. Great dinner. Friendly waiters. Awesome desserts.
Great food and service. Hope to stop by another time when in Baltimore again.
Great fresh local fare with great service
As usual, brunch at WK was a treat. And as usual, Mariam and the rest of the staff provided excellent service.
Good food and reasonable prices
My husband and I spent a weekend in Baltimore as his birthday gift. Friends of ours recommended Woodberry Kitchen, so I made a reservation for 7:30PM. We arrived at the restaurant in time for our reservation, but were told that there was a slight delay in seating. We waited about 10 minutes before notifying the host we would sit outside by the firepit. 40 minutes later we went back to the host stand to see how much longer it would be before we were seated. The host was very apologetic citing that a last-minute private booking was the reason they were running behind. She profusely apologized, said that they would certainly provide complimentary drinks and snacks as a way to apologize for the delay. We sat down at our table at 8:20, almost an hour after our reservation.
The service was fine but they were clearly running around. However, while we were waiting, we noted that the management staff were casually strolling around, rearranging chairs around the fire pit but never came to check on us. While we were at our table we saw other tables receiving apologies by management and yet we were still ignored. The food was fine. I don't recommend getting the delicata squash. I am a fan of squash, but this had a weird taste. No one asked how our food was and whether or not there were any issues. Nothing was complimentary, there were no snacks or drinks on the house.
Normally, I wouldn't expect that the restaurant "owed" us anything for free, and we didn't ask for anything. However, we were told that there would be and received no special treatment. This certainly wasn't how I wanted to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was really disappointing.
When I asked that my half eaten dinner be removed and requested bread, I was surprised that no one asked if there was a problem. The blackened fish was loaded with bones, the greens tough, and even the rice was not good. A beer was not served either. The only meat on the menu was for two and I think over $120. This was my 4th dinner there and atypical.
Been there many times, never been disappointed.. see you again soon
birthday- they beautifully presented our ordered dessert in a birthday platting!
We had a friend in town for the weekend and wanted to take her to a great place for dinner on a Saturday night. My wife and I had our 4 month old son with us and the entire staff made us feel welcome. When he was hungry at the beginning of our meal the staff brought my wife water while she nursed him at a side table. Our server explained everything to us and was patient with us throughout the meal. The manager came by to check on us afterwards as well. I was impressed with the service, patience, and overall friendliness of the staff.
Also the food was spectacular. Our friend is gluten sensitive so the staff made fresh gluten free bread for her. The crab cake was great. The chicken was amazing.
We will be back for sure.
Loved everything about this restaurant and I am a tough critic. Can’t wait to return.
Sommelier was wonderful as was the food
Great meal. Fabulous service. Staff was extremely helpful. Loved the crab cakes and the eggplant appetizer.
The wait staff is a wonderful group of people! Even the manager came over to say hello and to check on our experience. The atmosphere was comfortable and the food was uniquely delicious!
Great food and service. We arrived an hour early for our reservation but they still accommodated us. We've been trying to get to the restaurant for years and it definitely was worth the wait! Ambiance also outstanding; repurposed old mill buildings.
Everything was great AND I'm still enjoying the chicken at home. AND it stayed moist overnight in the frig.
We have had better nights at Woodberry
Food not so great tonight
Especially for the price
Not sure what was going on?????
Marvelous as always! Thank you for a special event!
Woodberry Kitchen is always a great place to dine. The food is delicious and timely - our waiter, Frank, was so accommodating, gave great recommendations and made the experience very special. I will definitely go back again.
Everything was delicious. A little expensive, but well worth the cost. House Som was very informative and was a nice add to the service that was already of high quality. Definitely would recommend to others and will be coming back.
Finally made it out to this local favorite this evening to celebrate with an out of town friend. Bottom line... the evening was top notch. Service at woodberry kitchen was perfect. The wine selection is beyond impressive. Desserts were delicious. Only flaw was minor. While a treat for the taste buds, it was small - especially given the price point. The reputation as one of Baltimore's best is deserved.
We had a wonderful server...Nancy. This was our second visit to this wonderful restaurant. It did not disappoint! All of our food (apps/main/dessert) were delicious!
I wouldn't change a thing. Don't miss the Tilghman Island crab pot appetizer. It is to die for.
Excellent gazpacho, and fish appetizers! Scallops and Rabbit entrees were also fantastic! We had Old Westminster, Cabernet Franc, red wine by the glass. One glass came warm and one chilled from the refrigerator. Very odd. The other 2 drinks we ordered never showed up and the special free taste never came to the table, but the $1 charge for it did appear on our bill. I have a nut allergy and every one of my plates was delivered to the table with a "food allergy" sticker on the side. Also kind of odd. The peaches and cream ice cream was really vanilla ice cream on the rocks. Large frozen solid peach rocks about 1 inch in size that could not be chewed and had to be spit out. I would try Woodberry Kitchen again; maybe it was an off night...
