Great restaurant in a really neat area of Baltimore. Kind of hard to find. The food is great and the drink menu is tremendous.
The food was delicious. The preparations were original, ingredients fresh. I loved the ambiance too. I have heard about this place, but this was my first visit. I look forward to going again. Only suggestion is to have some less expensive wine options. The Pinot Noir we had was wonderful but expensive. Thanks for a special evening.
Birthday dinner. Perfect setting, great food.
Our first visit. Everything was great! We'll be back!
Wasn’t up to previous standards.
Delicious eats and local cocktails! Beautiful patio for brunch.
We always enjoy Woodberry Kitchen, but sometimes the food and service are a little uneven. Last weekend's meal, however, was totally delightful--appetizers, entrees, wine--all were excellent and included some wonderful new flavors and textures. Our waiter gave us good advice concerning our wine choice, and even though the kitchen was slammed and the courses came a bit slowly, we thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
My recommendation comes with warnings. This was our 2nd time there and I have to say, it was disappointing. The lamb was 75% fat although the bed of millet and peppers it laid in was quite delicious. My dining companions enjoyed their double hamburgers very much. Our waiter hinted broadly that we had better order an appetizer because dinner was going to take some time, however it took so long that the manager came out to apologize. I was surprised because we were the 2nd table to be seated at 5 pm. Our waiter mentioned almost immediately after introducing himself that they were down a server and he was actually the sommelier there but was taking over for this serving. Honestly, I don't want to begin a dinner with low expectations, in particular when the food there is expected to be super, as well as expecting the service to be super, because, after all, the Woodberry kitchen is not known for being a cheap place to dine. Additionally, my husband was on his second coffee before he asked the waiter to cancel his dessert, of course it was brought out moments later by the manager but he wound up taking it home. I do not think we will be back with all the other wonderful restaurants there are in the area.
Everything was perfect! The food! The service! All wonderful :)
I never made it out to Woodberry Kitchen while I was an undergrad, but now I wish I had - the food is tremendous, and the building/atmosphere is awesome!
Enjoyed our anniversary dinner at the Woodberry Kitchen. Attentive service, good food, and lovely courtyard to enjoy our meal. Lots of good menu choices.
Visiting with friends from out of town. Almost didn't go because we didn't want to travel far from the harbor. So glad we did. Worth the Uber. Place was gorgeous, food was excellent and we all fought for every last bite on the plate. Cocktails were amazing, very steam punk elegant in all the right ways. The staff treated us like family, very warm and VERY proud. Loved every second of it. Will go again and we live on Long Island!
Great. As always.
I love this place 💖
You need to reserved to ensure a table.
The most positive part of the experience was our waitress...what a lovely young woman! She knew exactly how much attention to pay without ever interrupting our conversation. She was engaging and funny. The food was so-so. Both salads - beet and heirloom tomato - were delicious as were the desserts, but the rest of the small plates and appetizers were unremarkable and pricey. I think we were able to get a reservation same day because it was restaurant week and they didn’t participate. It will probably not be an option in the future, which I’m sad about.
We have eaten here many times. On this particular visit everything was perfect except for the very long time it took for our meal to arrive. So long that the hostess came and apologized for the delay. Our server was excellent and helped my wife select a beverage to go with her meal. The food was excellent. This was the first time we have eaten there that had a glitch. Hopefully it was just that the kitchen staff misplaced our order.
The food was great, service amazing. Portions a little small for the money, but good and would go back:)
Overpriced bland food. Service was slow. We had to call our server over after 10 minutes of not being acknowledged by server. Throughout meal service was average. Trout was bland. Hamburger was nothing exceptional. Popcorn is so overrated. Served in a tiny cereal bowl. Tasted like any buttered popcorn. Save the money, make it at home or order at the movies. Not sure what all the fuss is about this place. Beautiful building that’s about it.
Very creative food!! Definitely recommend it!!
Excellent fresh, seasonal locally sourced food presented in a very creative way. Brunch selections were excellent. The staff was attentive without being intrusive. The hostess even remembered our names as we were leaving. I can tell the wait staff and bar staff etc were trained very well. I loved it!
Super great service by knowledgeable servers ... responsibly sourced food ... great atmosphere
The food was delicious and interesting. AND the dessert!!!,,,,,,Panna Cotta with raspberry sorbet and berries. 500 calories (I looked it up) but worth it! I didn't eat anything for the next 24 hours - That would be 8/5 at 1 pm. (now) No joke!
Food great. Overpriced though for fish bec said would be 1 pound but was only half amount.
Pricey, but for a damn good reason. One of the best meals we’ve ever had, and everything was sourced locally. Fantastic - highly recommend!
Our appetizer (ricotta dumplings) was pretty good, but not worth the price. Both our meals (steak and the stuffed sea bass) were lukewarm and flavorless. Most tables are also very close together, creating a loud, impersonal environment. I have been to Woodberry before and enjoyed my meal, but based on my experience I won't go back. On a positive note, their cocktails are delicious.
We were really lucky to have Jay as our server during our recent visit. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and consulted to pair wine for our main course. He said he normally did special events, so I'm glad he was able to wait on us Friday because he really helped make the experience enjoyable. He was attentive but not overbearing, so we could still enjoy spending time with our friends. The food was outstanding. We were we to try many dishes, and every plate was cleaned. The drinks were also delicious 👌 it's an expensive meal, but well worth the whole experience.
Highly recommended by friends and did not disappoint. Excellent!
Great atmosphere, innovative cuisine. We never had less than perfect meal or service at Woodberry Kitchen.
VERY SLOW. Despite having an Open Table reservation at 7:30 and arriving early, we were seated st 7:50. Long wait to get menus. Wine steward stopped by the table then excused himself to take care of something promising he would be back. Never came back to the table.
Waitress was very nice, but forgot to get us bread & butter.
Took over half an hour to get our entrees after the appetizers. Took half an hour to get dessert after ordering.
Hostess was rude.
Manager was very nice and apologetic. Preemptively came over to our table & acknowledged the shortcomings.
They comped the appetizers, dessert and gave us a gift certificate to try the restaurant again.
Right off the bat, we never tasted the food that is raved about. It was an anniversary dinner for two, but upon arrival, it was not the atmosphere for such an event. Loud music and high noise level greeted us. We were seated at a two-top right under a loudspeaker and next to the wait-station. The server was very nice but we were not happy with the atmosphere. Dressed up with casually-dressed adults and their toddlers around us. We walked out without ordering.
It has been a few years since we have dined at Woodberry Kitchen, however, we used to be frequent patrons. The brunch menu was much smaller than I remember, very few entree-type dishes. The coffee and drinks were delicious. The food was just alright--not stellar. Certainly not worth the price. Our server was wonderful when we saw her, but she would disappear for long periods of time. I do not think we'll be back for brunch anytime soon.
Delicious and creative!
GREAT BRUNCH. CREATIVE. SAT OUTSIDE - VERY NICE
We usually have a great time and staff are great and kind! We were celebrating our anniversary and honestly were treated so poorly. The server was rude and aloof. The food was good but took close to two hours to get a burger. Also, we ordered wine and it didn’t show up until after apps were done. They gave us a complementary 1/2 glass each but somehow no one seemed to sincerely care about our experience. Sad as this was our go to place for family celebrations. We won’t return as it was really disappointing to be virtually disregarded!
Sensational service and an unforgettable ambiance. Like no other dining experience in the area, Woodberry Kitchen transcends your date and your pallet to a level you couldn't quite prepare for. Rabbit Rattitouille? Yep. Pit Beef Carpaccio? You betcha. The most amazing blackberry pie? You aren't even ready. Just come here and you'll be satisfied. There's no question.
Delicious as usual with excellent service as always. ❤️
We always enjoy our time at Woodberry Kitchen, where we know the food is quality, fresh, and locally-sourced. We love the refreshing cocktails, shared plates, and suppers offered as seasonally appropriate. Please visit Woodberry Kitchen and see for yourself! If you can’t make it for dinner, their brunch is also to die for. :)
Great ambience and service! Outdoor seating was terrific. I really enjoyed the bread and my rabbitcetta. My friend thought her catfish entree could’ve been more flavorful. I would definitely return again to try different dishes.
