Food was extraordinaire!! Waitress as extremely knowledgeable and descriptive beyond belief as she talked about the food. The desserts were decorated thoughtfully and in a very personalized way to celebrate two anniversaries.
This is a favorite family place typically for more special occasions. We were celebrating my son’s birthday with our larger family and his wife. The menu was varied and interesting. Service was great food appealing and delicious.
This was my second visit to Woodberry Kitchen, and it surpassed my expectations yet again! This time I brought my parents, who were visiting from out of town. They both raved afterward that it was the best dinner they'd ever had. If I lived next door to WK, I'd likely go broke eating three meals a day there!
Food excellent, menu very creative, however, service was extremely slow and it was loud enough that you could not hear the people across the table from you. Loud background music was a big contributor to overall nose level.
Great meal. Small plates were delicious. The service was outstanding. Our server was very attentive.
The service, food and atmosphere were excellent. Among my family and me we had crab cakes, rockfish, chicken and carpaccio among others. Food was out of this world and the coffee we closed it with was delightful. It was a wonderful experience.
Thanks for making our anniversary meal one to remember. Please start a sister restaurant in Raleigh......We do not have this type of food down here.
Excellent food and drink selection. A range of food options from "snacks" to a meal to share for two. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. A little loud near the bar but overall not too loud for conversation.
Had a really nice lunch here on a Saturday. I’ve eaten here for dinner and compared to the dinner menu, brunch is pretty basic, but good. Dinner menu was more interesting.
Staff are all fantastic with great attitudes, making the meal really enjoyable.
Still, it was seriously expensive for a fairly light lunch ($50+/ person with only one drink on the tab).
Went for Saturday brunch. As usual the food and service were great. Just wish there was an entrance closer to the valet.
Had a great time. Food was excellent and service was top notch
Love Woodberry Kitchen. Go there multiple times a year. Went for a business dinner this time and Tirza’s service was excellent. She made great recommendations and helped to clear the table quickly of used plates/flatware we were finished with. Another wonderful experience at this local favorite.
Our dining experience at Woodberry Kitchen was fantastic! We were celebrating my husband's birthday, and everything was wonderful — wonderful service from the staff, amazing cocktails at the bar, and a delicious dinner (with great recommendations from our server). They even added a "happy birthday" message and candle to the dessert to make our night more festive. We would definitely recommend to friends.
Went to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and we had an amazing time. Our first time at Woodberry. We were a bit picky and I was so surprised how happy they were to accommodate us. At a nice restaurant you expect a certain level of service, but this place was a league above. Not to be cliche, but I couldn’t recommend Woodberry highly enough.
We’ve been here before, and it never disappoints! Our server was awesome, and she explained every item on the menu in great detail with a lot of enthusiasm. The food was amazing from the beet salad and tempura sweet potatoes to the pan chicken and biscuit topped off with the butterscotch pudding. We will be going back soon.
Have heard many great things over the years about woodberry. Our first visit was this summer and it certainly lived up to the hype. We returned in November and this visit was just as great. Our waitress on this visit had an incredible knowledge of the food and the wine which made the experience even better. If you haven’t been you should definitely go.
Wonderful Sunday brunch date with my husband. Food was phenomenal. Service was excellent. Enjoyed the atmosphere and drink selection. Highly recommend.
Such a great find - tasty food in very bohemian/artsy building! We had a great time having a late lunch on Sunday.
We met friends there for dinner. Food and service were exceptionally good.
Delicious food with top notch service every time. Look forward to each time we come and are greeted with friendly and gracious staff.
Heritage grits not as good as i remember them
From few years ago. They were more watery and much less flavorful than I recall.
Coffee deee lish. Pastries dry.
But we love Devlin our fabulous server!
If there were 6 stars i would give 6stars!!! This place was AMAZING!!! Probably the best meal I’ve ever had. The people were friendly and kind. The place was so cozy and comfortable. I had the pork tenderloin and belly fat which was out of this world. My friend had the chicken and biscuits, absolutely delectable. We had the rabbit flat bread that sounds weird but was absolutely delicious. We actually stopped talking to be able to focus on all the flavors in our mouth. I had the apple crisp for dessert which was perfect and my friend had the persimmon pudding which was wonderful. The only thing we didn’t like was the grits. But that was a personal preference because we like them creamier. I can’t wait to go back!!!!
A bit hard to find in the dark. We arrived late, but were still seated. Very good.
Thanks, it was perfect!
Great restaurant with a style of its own. A bit homespun yet sophisticated. Simple fresh food prepared with care. Super delicious. Not a big menu but would have loved to try everything. The service was great with helpful patient staff who where happy to explain everything - and there were lots of things we knew nothing about. On a very wet Baltimore night this place was buzzing. While Baltimoreis half a world away for us if we are ever back this way the Woodberry Kitchen will be our first port of call
I chose Woodberry Kitchen for a business dinner while in town fir a trade show. The service was excellent, the ambience was cozy, & the food delicious. Everyone enjoyed it. Highly recommend.
As usual, we had a wonderful experience at Woodberry Kitchen. It continues to be one of our go-to spots in Baltimore.
We love it here. We drive from Bethesda. There's always traffic, but boy is Woodberry Kitchen great.
I came here for my birthday dinner for the second year in a row. Everyone is always very kind and accommodating, service is prompt and I will likely come back next year!
We’ve been to Woodberry several times over the years for special occasions. This visit did not meet my high expectations from a top rated restaurant in Baltimore. The recipe for chicken and biscuits changed. The chicken was still good but not what we were expecting.
Good vibe and setting. Food very flavorful and I look forward to visiting again. I recommend reserving a table in advance.
Great service, will accommodate children, recommend coming early like we did
Chicken liver spread, sorghum ice cream, and toasted cauliflower, were excellent. Pork belly flatbread needs work - too chewy, too bland. Service was great.
A very nice evening. Great wine list and excellent food. We visited A Rake’s Progress a few days prior while in DC, and Woodberry was far superior where food was concerned...glad we went to Woodberry second as A Rake’s Progress would have otherwise seemed a bit disappointing. Highly recommend
Excellent restaurant! Do yourself a favor and have dinner here.
First visit to Woodbury kitchen -,
New wait staff was being trained so lots of people standing around & trying to help out
Our waitress was very good -
Bread came out and it was frozen in the middle
Drinks good, eggplant spread great! After that, not so great. I had the crab pot since lots of reviews sId it was really good. It was just ok- very peppery with not much crab.
Hubby got the pork loin main dish which looked more like a small plate . Way too small for the price ! No manager checked in on us the entire time - wished they had checked in
We are in town for a conference and have been enjoying multiple restaurants in and around downtown Baltimore when Open Table suggested that I might like the fabulous Woodberry Kitchen. Well, they could not have been more right on. The service and staff was impeccable. Everyone was so passionate about the care and source of the ingredients, it was contagious!
We enjoyed the red kuri squash curry soup, homemade wood fired bread, cocktails made from all locally sourced ingredients, roasted beet salad, eggplant dip, roasted cauliflower and collard greens. Everything we tasted was delightful. We indulged in apple crisp and persimmon pie with lavender honey ice cream for dessert and every bite was to die for!
The ambience was so welcoming and the waiter also explained the rich history of the building. You will not be disappointed if you reserve a table at Woodberry Kitchen. Enjoy!
Always great food!
Food was fabulous but we had ordered successive dishes and the flatbread arrived very late.
The service was excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful! The menu seemed full of odd selections. The descriptions of the menu items didn’t make it very easy to make a choice. I got the Beau’s breakfast. It had a small pile of scrambled eggs and then three big portions of a variety of meats. Better with more eggs less meat. Friend paid $23 for essentially a skillet of tomato soup with a couple of runny eggs thrown in. Very overpriced!
