Cozy, friendly bartender Ben took care of my guest and I quickly and efficiently. Small plate came out right behind our Mulled Wine and Hot Buttered Rum. Cornmeal Fried Oysters...perfection. We did have to ask for bread but it came super quick to compliment the oysters and drinks. We ordered the MD Rockfish and cast iron chicken and biscuit. Both were savory and plated exquisitely. In particular the turnip and carrot medley with the braised greens on my Cast Iron Chicken option were AS GOOD as the main entree. This typically is not the case as usually one part of the plate outweighs the main feature. Last night I found myself gleefully giving every part of the plate equal attention.
My partners MD Rockfish was pure delight as well and I took several bites out of his handsome fish as he did with my Chicken. I typically do not enjoy seafood of any variety but this fish was like no other fish I had ever tasted. Perhaps on a future visit I’ll order this as my selection to dine.
Woodberry Kitchen is doing everything right by me! Keep up the bustle!
Woodberry kitchen is very dynamic, in the sense of accommodating an intimate dinner, or a larger birthday celebration. That’s what my party was there for, to celebrate my mom and everything was perfect! The manager Matt ensured everything was to our liking and came by to say hello to the birthday girl! All of the food was amazing and locally sourced, which was a plus for a conscious eater such as myself. I recommend the fried steak! This place is a must for brunch to all my foodies out there!
Great ambiance, fantastic service and fresh ingredients. Very impressed. In terms of food, we were not impressed with our meal and a few items lacked enough salt. Not worth the hype—at least this meal wasn’t. We will definitely give it another try due to its reputation and positive reviews but found much better seafood meals at Rec Pier Chop House, True Chesapeake and Thames Oyster House.
Hands down my favorite restaurant in Baltimore. Always great food and a fantastic atmosphere. We enjoyed our French press coffee with a complimentary pb&j doughnut.. mmm.
Delicious meal, love all the Gluten Free options. It is a noisy venue which was tough but we happen to get a quieter table.
The service is always impeccable and the food is always perfection but tonight was above and beyond. Thank you!!
Consistently great, upscale comfort food. Wait staff and atmosphere never disappoints.
My daughters birthday was perfect! Food, wine, service was amazing!
Very much enjoyed dinner. Loved the atmosphere and the food was very good. My husband had the trout and raved over it. I would definitely come back in the warmer months to have a drink outside and dinner.
Awesome service and food. This was my first time eating there with my wife and we will defiantly be back!
This place remains gorgeous and the food never dips below excellent. My only slight gripe was a bit of a wait for our table, even with a reservation, when the restaurant did not appear full. But really still love WK & will return soon Also-awesome cocktails!
Woodberry Kitchen is one of our favorite restaurants, and it didn’t disappoint this time either. We were celebrating my daughters birthday and my husband’s birthday. We loved everything from the starters and drinks through dessert. I highly recommend the chicken and biscuit. It will be hard not to get that entree again and again.
Food was excellent . We did not have to wait long for food to come
What a great place! The service, food, and atmosphere were so perfect. The menu has something for everyone. We got deviled eggs & cornbread to start then had the morning flatbread and rockfish spread croissant with a side of cobbled potatoes and all of it was great!
Always a wonderful experience. The service is absolutely top notch! Great management ;)!
The food is always cooked perfectly! We’ve been going to Woodberry since it’s opened and we will continue.
A truly lovely and special meal, ambience and evening. Phenomenal service and outstanding staff. Thanks for making our evening special!
Awesome service and amazing food!!!
This place is simply amazing, I would go every week if I could. The Golden Milk was so yummy.
Stacy, Thanks for the great note! We will look forward to your next trip to WK. Best wishes from all of us at Woodberry Kitchen.
Great restaurant that never fails to impress. A wonderful go to for any special occasion!
Absolutely delicious meal. The waiter and the sommelier were very knowledgeable and friendly. Ambiance was awesome. Definitely plan on coming back
Wonderful to hear Debbie! We will share with your server, our somm and the entire WK Team. Best wishes for a spectacular New Year, Johnny Earles, GM
We have never been disappointed with the quality and freshness of the food. The menu changes often based on the availability of local ingredients. The drink and wine list complements the dinner selections. The staff is very friendly and familiar with the menu.
One of our last date nights before our first baby arrives and woodberry, as usual, did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was delicious and they even sent us out a complimentary dessert to help celebrate the new arrival.
We're happy that brunch was offered on New Year's Day. The baked goods make everything better.
We wanted a lazy New Year’s Day brunch and hadn’t had a chance to visit Woodberry Kitchen since moving to the city. It was wonderful. The food was forward and creative. The staff was freakishly good - calm and warm yet attentive. They have a system for food allergies that will never make you fret about ingredients again! We have noticed that service in Baltimore just isn’t up to the national standard for whatever reason, but that’s just not the case here. I seriously cannot stress that enough, their team should be applauded.
Woodberry Kitchen is doing it right. The food is outstanding, the front of house staff is perfect, the facility itself is lovely. I’ll definitely be back for a simple weekday meal as well as a special occasion.
There were 4 of us, 2 mature couples, for brunch. Good range of choices for brunch, prices were reasonable, food was very good. Wine list on food menu was limited, but there is a more extensive list. That list contains many less-well-known wines, some from Greece, others from Pennsylvania, Virginia, and only a couple from Burgundy or from the better known regions of California. Cheapest Champagne was $111 a bottle. Having more readily recognizable wines at reasonable prices would be a good idea.
Great experience. Everything was good, but had a few critiques on some of the dishes (short rib could have been better balanced)
Second chance in month... New Year's Eve- you would think it would be exceptional. When one of the entrees is served cold (steak) and two orders of mashed potatoes served in cast iron pots is served cold, you are not happy customers. Manager stepped in. It took at least 10 minutes, if not more to get our cold food back. NO EXCUSES!!! Nothing in return from Woodberry to compensate us for getting cold food served and a long wait time, while others continued to eat their meals. We will not be returning for a long time.
Excellent service, wonderful food and cocktails. Great dining experience.
Food was great. The two smoked oyster appetizers were awesome. It was New Year's Eve and the staff was working very hard. Minor issue with the timing on one of the appetizers, but the wait staff let us know. If our waiter was busy with other tables, the manager or other team members were making sure drink orders were taken or anything else was taken care of. Very happy with the dinner, service and the atmosphere at Woodberry. Looking forward to going back.
We celebrated my wife’s birthday once again at Woodberry and the food and service were excellent. We also love the building and atmosphere in the restaurant. The food has always been great.
Great space, very good service. Hadn't been to Woodberry in a couple years and wanted to try it again. Had the same impression: Not as good as the prices would suggest/warrant.
Thanks for your comments and we are disappointed we didn't perform better. We share with our team and learn from our guests' feedback. Please call or email me as I would love to know more. Best wishes from WK, Johnny Earles, GM 850-585-7222
Woodberry Kitchen is a lovely place for a great meal! The food was delicious and our server was knowledgable. We took several of the servers suggestions and they did not disappoint! Would definitely return.
Woodberry never seizes to disappoint. The service was excellent, the food was delish, and my little birthday celebration was perfect. It's a little noisy sometimes which is fine by me but, my boyfriend doesn't enjoy the "louder" atmosphere.
The food and service were outstanding. Our waiter clearly was excited about providing a great experience. The ambiance was warm and comfortable. My only issue was the gin & tonic, which wasn’t very good. The wine recommendation was quite good. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we look forward to returning.
Always a great experience; one of my favorite spots!
Went for brunch! Delicious! The creativity of the menu was awesome and everything was so fresh and yummy! Our waitstaff was great and attentive! Even attending to our two year old and engaging with her! We love coming here every time we visit family.
We’ve been to Woodberry Kitchen several times and always have a wonderful experience. This time we went to celebrate our anniversary. The service was outstanding and the food was prepared perfectly and artfully. We received some outstanding advice on wine pairings and our server provided some thoughtful touches that we appreciated. Well done!
I am fortunate enough to not have to worry about prices when ordering in most restaurants. But out of the corner of my eye I happened to notice that a side order of carrots was $14 on the Woodberry Kitchen Menu. No, that's not a typo. Fourteen dollars for carrots. Let me now pause for effect.
Fourteen dollars for a small plate of carrots!!!
Made me wish I'd gone to Golden Corral. They charge half of the WK carrot price for a bountiful buffet. I'm pretty sure they serve carrots somewhere on that bountiful buffet. Probably not roasted in a wood fired oven but... goddammit... carrots better be wrapped in gold flake for fourteen bucks, Can I get an Amen?
My banker, however, was pleased that I had dined at Woodberry Kitchen as I had to secure a HELO to pay the bill. God only knows what they charge for brussel sprouts. I couldn't bear to look. The UBER you summon to take you to Woodberry Kitchen better be driving a Brinks truck.
Wonderful meal, beautiful ambiance tucked away in Hampdem. Only downside was how hot it was in the main dining room. I was sweating! Made it a little less easy to enjoy the amazing food!
