Brunch menu is amazing. Service was well below normal based upon our previous experiences. Mimosas are not served as mimosas. Sparking wine in one glass and very small orange juice in another small container. We had to ask for a juice glass to combine. Sorry, but it didn’t feel or taste like a mimosa.

Great food, all homemade and delicious. We loved the family-style dining which allowed us to sample a variety of dishes. We come to St. George frequently and this will be one of our frequent stops!

This was our second time at Wood, Ash and Rye and unfortunately the experience was not as great as our first. The bar area was charming and we loved our drinks and service. Unfortunately, when we moved over to the dining room, we were paired with a server with blue hair, blue lashes and over the top makeup and piercings. Not what we expected for a fine dining experience. Our server was not well versed in the liquor menu and was rushing us through dinner. The dining room is a charming atmosphere and the food was good, but not necessarily great this time. Not sure if we will decide to go back.

We have had great experiences at WAR but lately the food quality has gone down quite a bit. We order the special pasta flavor was fine but pasta was doughy and terribly undercooked. The trout was good. Ribs were good. Fries have changed and felt like they came from the freezer. Our waitress was never refilled our drinks. Finally we asked for a pitcher of water so we could at least have that. She also said they couldn’t split a check. I know that is not her fault but somewhat lame on the management’s part. Overall, I wish they could have maintained standards they set a few years ago. We used to take visitors there, host company parties and date night but sadly we will be looking for somewhere else. Hopefully they can turn it around.

We came back to Wood Ash Rye after an excellent meal there last time traveling through St. George, staying at the Advenire. We were so looking forward to a repeat...Wow what a difference a year made. There were some positives-the biscuits are still good, also the Brussels sprouts were tasty. That's where things fell apart. We ordered the lamb Kafka. It sounded so delicious. The lamb was very salty, tough and over cooked. So salty that we couldn't eat it. The roasted veggies were also very salty. When we told our server this she said "oh yes, we hear that often". REALLY?! If that's a common complaint how about sharing it with the kitchen and fixing the issue. We noticed that after that exchange, she stopped asking us how things were. Having left most of the Lamb entree, our server probably knew better than to ask us how it was. Both my husband and I were so disappointed to have had such a bad experience at Wood Ash Rye as it was one of the anticipated highlights of a long car trip.

This place is amazing. Just remember to think outside the box on some of the food choices here. Some of the food doesn't sound very appealing but once you try it, you will be amazed . The atmosphere is awesome, not load but not guiet. Good for a group conversation without offending the table next to you.

It was likely one of the best meals I’ve ever had. My husband and I went a little overboard and tried 5 plates. Pork belly & watermelon dish Stir fry Crispy Potatoes Carrots Ribs Every dish was unique, savory and just the right amount of spice, kick or unique flavor. The food was amazing. Our reservation was for 11:30am. I was really wanting their pork belly/watermelon dish----it's divine!---but that is only on the dinner menu. So heads up if you are wanting to try that scrumptious dish! Only dinner menu and it's seasonal!!! Aye aye aye!! BUT my chicken biscuit dish was unbelievable! The yummy sauce on it was a "melt in your mouth" flavor!! So dang good!!! I hope that we can make it back to the restaurant before that watermelon-pork belly dish is off the menu!! The biscuits here are a MUST order!! I'm telling you--they are amazing!! My mouth is watering as I type!! GOOOOOO!!

I chose to eat Sunday brunch here after reading the reviews that had already been posted. I am sorry to say that our experience wasn’t the best… The young man that took our drink order brought 2 drinks but no coffee. We had to ask for the coffee to be served after a bit of a wait. I can be forgiving to young people working hard. Then My sister ordered two sides for her meal and was not served what she ordered. Rather than sending back she settled for what was served but was dissatisfied with the flavor. She then ordered another meal. We had finished most of our food before she was served. Fortunately I was able to share my meal or she wouldn’t of had anything to eat while she waited. We ended up taking her meal to go due to a long wait for it. On a positive note…those of us that ordered the French toast thought it was great and enjoyed it. It seemed to me that the servers were young and possibly inexperienced. Possibly short handed? Maybe a supervisor could be on staff to keep things moving in a timely manner.

Not the best place for a fun lunch stop. They only offer a limited brunch menu. The food was mediocre and the Turkey in my club very dry. Dinner though, when it’s busy has always been a hit. Ambiance is right on.

Food usually is very good, but the Chef running the restaurant area is beyond rude. All the servers and even bartender seem beaten down and feel disrespected. You can order ALL food in the tiny bar area, but limited menu in the actual restaurant. It’s a matter of fifty feet and items in the menu I would imagine are quite popular and often requested, are only segregated to specific areas. Usually bar food menu is limited and restaurant is quite large. This chef decides to do the opposite which most people would consider sensible. When we asked the server for a couple food items she informed us Chef won’t serve these items in the main restaurant. She asked the manager and when the manager asked the Chef if he’d allow an exception for us to order food we normally order, he threw what I would consider a temper tantrum, flailing his hands, obviously lambasting the poor manager in front of all the tables. The manager returned apologizing, Chef said no, and we responded that there’s nothing for him to be sorry about. It’s just odd to me that we are requesting food the kitchen makes (I’m not inventing something off the menu), and the chef just won’t allow us to eat it in the restaurant. We returned a few weeks later, sat in the bar and once again witnessed the chef frantically chastising a server. Dude, you’re in Saint George, this isn’t a five star restaurant in Vegas or NYC, calm down. So unprofessional and ridiculous.

Outstanding! Summer (our guide/server) walked us through the menu and concept. This is a farm to table regionally sourced style restaurant. The menu is unique and shared entrees is really enjoyable. We plan to make Brunch our next dining experience - the Eggs Benedict is intriguing.

Inspired dining! This is truly a gem located in the heart of St. George. The dishes incorporate unique combinations of flavors and textures. My family especially enjoyed the "shareable" aspect of many of the plates, so we could try multiple things.

Had a wonderful time at Wood Ash Rye celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. Started with a bottle of prosecco and the Brussels sprouts (best I've ever had!). We shared the duck tacos (could have used a little more duck) - delicious. Then had the ribeye and crispy potatoes. Overall, a perfect meal and a perfect evening. We'll definitely be back soon.

Fountain drinks completely “flat”. Brown water. Everything we both ordered was very salty. Slow service - especially since there were very few other people in the restaurant. Couldn’t get lunch - had to have their brunch; did t really like the menu choices.

Poor service. Food service was slow despite not being very busy. Food was just average for the price.

Outstanding food!! One of the best meals we've eaten, truly. The ribeye was absolutely delicious. A must if you're in St. George!

Food was excellent. Beautiful place. Bloody Mary was too spicy to drink, they make their own mix in big batches so there was no “fix”. Only downside.
